Five years? Congrats! I truly believe partners/spouses should have separate spaces. Even sleeping separately sometimes, or always or more often if that works for you. It works so well for my husband and me.
im very light sleeper, i could never imagine sharing a bed with a partner, occasionally i've stayed over obviously but i dont think i could do that in a long term space.
So true! Same with me & my husband. We shared a wardrobe for a couple of years when we were renting a tiny space. It was so hard on both of us because I have OCD and my husband is organized in his own way but mine was at a complete different level when it comes to organizing so when we bought our first house. We both wanted a wardrobe of our own and not interfere with each others stuff. Also sometimes we sleep in different rooms because I love watching a horror, thriller movie on a weekend with popcorn on my bed late at night and he loves watching his football match, cricket and other sports so we have our me time so that way we are giving each other some space & doing what we love & enjoy doing rather than having this silly argument about what we're going to watch. Lol 😁 also we are now parents and it still works for us both to be by ourselves sometimes and have some quiet time ⏲
@@alittlebitofdeepa7573I get horrified looks when I tell people this! I keep his work uniforms in my closet so we still see each other in the morning. We can have sleepovers whenever we want! The rest of the time we get the best sleep, stretched out in a cool bed. In an organized (or not) to our own taste room. It all started when I got addicted to sleeping in the recliner. I call it the CFH- Chair from hell. It sucks you in 😅 then he claimed rhe CFH when I got us a new mattress he ended up not liking. When we bought our house we got a 3 bedroom so we could have our own spaces. And neither of us think twice about it bc we’re secure I guess. I love the sleepovers 😊 and my husband! AND my own bed/space!
It's a very good sign of a healthy relationship when the partners respect with others' spaces. The fact that you made an effort to make sure he'd have his room in which he can be on his own shows how secure you are as a boyfriend. Good for you, guys! ❤️❤️
I’m so happy to see Chris’s room taking shape. Looking so good. That’s Theo is really digging the rug. Feisty little man. Thank you for the video Benji 😊
Casterly is very good. I often times feel that IKEA is "too common" and overpriced for the material they use for furniture. Solid wood will last a lifetime. For the runner rug, I think if you put potted plants in the corner will help to settle in the rug to the hallway. You guys need larger artworks. Big walls need big artworks. I am so happy to see Chris again in this video. He's so beautiful. Tell him to upload book reviews again.
Yes no matter how much we love our partners separate beds doesn't hurt. I sleep better on my own lol plus we all need our own space Trust and understanding plays a big part in any relationship !! Love all your plants I have an amazing garden plus my ex and I live together and he is a gardener So Garden is wonderful have 5 Glasshouses and a Tarn in the back garden as well !!
This is genuinely my dream. I've always had my very own room, so why would I want to change that just because I live with someone? I 100% believe that a lot of relationships would be way happier and healthier if people would just let go of societal expectations and live in a way that makes them happy. And a lot of people would be way happier if they had a room of their own.
The entry way table looks so,like the telephone tables of the past. When your only phone way a land line one in the hall , they had a drawer for the local, telephone directory and a soft seat .
I love seeing videos like this. Everyone has such different styles and key points when designing something and even if that was cliche I think it’s very interesting. ☺️
I am probably behind the times but I had never heard of castlery. I love the pieces you chose. I especially love the wool rug. Natural fibers feel the best and add understated luxury. Thank you for sharing and I will check them out.
You should be a interior decorator ben! You really have great taste and seems so organic You know really what stuff goes with what, definitely makes a good career for you. 👍😁
@@benjiplant Don't they just have the most unique and fun way of putting out new stems? Such an awesome plant to watch grow. Warmed my soul to see you had one too!
I Just discovered channel since i;m really into interior design but found myself staying through a couple of videos just because you have such a calming presence, a calm space you've created as well.
Chris’s room looks so nice , I just love the bed and the cabinet with those fancy multi track doors 😍👏💚🌿 The whole apt is looking really awesome and I’m so happy for you both and precious little Theo eating peas too funny and adorable I love snap peas too Theo yum 😋!
Wow, wish I had known about Castlery when I was furniture shopping last year! I really like the style - it's all understated - so it lets you add some color and patterns in accessories. Dang!
I just moved into a much bigger house in West LA. Wife now has her own bathroom. And I have mine. We can use each other's. But we populate each with our own stuff. And we get to decorate our own way. It's verrrrrry civilized.
Megalodon made me think of Ark Survival lol. Now I'm wondering if you and Chris play it. I really like that color blocked curtain and the way the sun shows different levels of intensity. The house is coming together nicely.
I love it. It looks so cozy. Your whole apartment is cozy and warm and inviting. I just love it. (p.s. I can't wait to be able to get some passiflora from you!)
The other room is going to be used for aquariums, plants, and packaging! It’s also not a very cozy room and doesn’t get great natural light. The desk limits what configurations we can do in his bedroom, but the computer is for leisure and he enjoys having it in his room
Hi there, I love your channel and relaxing plant vibes.! I have a family owned business and am trying to make a difference in my plant and garden community by encouraging people through inspirational practices. Things I've learned through the years and from therapy that can empower someone through difficult times. I also have lots of beautifully designed things in my store that I think your followers would really like. I would love to sponsor you..! You'll be able to pick out whatever you want. I hope you can get back to me soon, I'm looking forward to it!

My grandfather said it was the success to their 60 years of marriage. He had the big bed so grandma could "visit" when she wanted

I'm really having a hard time decluttering, but watching videos like Benji's, it just gives me this spark to try again.✨
omg I love seeing another couple that has separate bedrooms! It's a great way to go :) I'm a new subscriber!

I‘m head over heels with how adorable the two of you are ❤

Your home is super interesting which is a huge compliment in my opinion. I am sure your guests love looking at everything.
The curtain makes the light in the room very pleasant. And I love that walnut cabinet you got from Castlery,
I’m obsessed with your lamp choices for your home. They’re all so beautiful 🤍

You two are sooo good for eachother! What a beautiful relationship!! ❤️
What a beautiful, even, soothing voice you have!
I was just coming on here to comment the same thing, he has a lovely voice.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know.
Enjoy your new room Chris.
Can't wait to see your videos.
I enjoy both of you.
I love watching the thought process behind your choices, it’s so neat!!
One receives such positive vibes of your home through your videos. All the best to you both.
Benji I really love this series, hope to see more. You have a very unique style, also so happy for Chris´s room!
Please make another category, not about plant or room make over, but about Theo. He's so adorableeee!
I love that we get to see more of chris' style. Please make an update of how the room changes as he settles in
the purest joy of not having to wait for ur boyfriend to finish using the bathroom
You guys are everything I have every wanted 😩
"Look at the little rat"😂😂😂I call my small dog that lol
Ahh you have a fern tree behind you on your balcony! I have one and its my favorite plant. The apartment is looking great.
I’m loving it as well. I always wanted one but didn’t have the space. They grow pretty well here in LA!
@@benjiplant Don't they just have the most unique and fun way of putting out new stems? Such an awesome plant to watch grow. Warmed my soul to see you had one too!
Theo is hilarious so the rug! 😍

I could listen to you all day. So calming and interesting :)
That entry bench is a copy of a telephone seat used in the days when we had a home phone. The space under the bench was for telephone directory.
I genuinely love your videos. They give me a certain sense of peace and calm.
So cute when Chris corrects benji that it’s a megolodon tooth not a shark tooth haha
I literally got so happy when i saw he uploaded 😂
love chris' standing book shelf with the lamp and your photo frame there!
I love the bed so much! I love the vibe of the entire room, looking forward to the process!🫶🤍
The curtain is perfect

You are so talented and gentle ❤
Congrats on 5 years ❤

Your vids are so nice! They are cute/peaceful/mellow, idk how to express it, but i fell in love with it. Also, your plants... HMMWHPFF

awh Chris looks so happy
Love Chris bedroom, beautiful decor
omg you guys are so cute together, i can feel that romance spreading out of my computer screen!!!
I just moved into a much bigger house in West LA. Wife now has her own bathroom. And I have mine. We can use each other's. But we populate each with our own stuff. And we get to decorate our own way. It's verrrrrry civilized.
That's the happiest Chihuahua I have ever seen
This was so relaxing.
Ooo the Hyte case! I got one too for my PC, freaking love it!
Your pilea priorities made me laugh so hard. I love your plants and your space!
The bed head could go along the other wall, so it wouldn't block the window.
you guys are so so so cute, i just can’t…
Nice job Benji!
Love it! Especially the curtain!
i LOVE his room, also i visited leaf and vine and saw your philo poster! It was so cool and the plants there were amazing
I love the aesthetics 💕
you did so good! When I was longer I would have loved having my own space to sleep but nowadays I don't sleep well when he is around : )
Megalodon made me think of Ark Survival lol. Now I'm wondering if you and Chris play it. I really like that color blocked curtain and the way the sun shows different levels of intensity. The house is coming together nicely.
Really enjoyed this video, loved the room makeover .
And most importantly how can I forget to comment about my little love Theo, I just adore him so much 🥺❤
I love it. It looks so cozy. Your whole apartment is cozy and warm and inviting. I just love it. (p.s. I can't wait to be able to get some passiflora from you!)
Loved this thank u
i stan their relationshipppppppppptttttt
I wonder if I can let a rumba clean the room with a wool rug. I like it
Chris with purple colour is hilarious 😂
Pretty home 🏡 💓
"We we're escaping a fire and stopped in a trader joes and got this plant" -Benji
I really like the curtains and the louvered cupboard
The bed goes under the window rather than blocking the glass door.
Hi Benji. Really love your decor style. Beautiful pieces
Theo is kinda funny with new rug =))
theo is such a cutie patootie little boi
beautiful video...
your videos r how decorating my house in animal crossing make me feel
Qué preciosa Chihuahua 😍😍😍😍😍
they are so cute please
Where did you get the wooden tree shaped lamp next to the monstera in the entry way? I love it.
Would Chris like his computer in the extra room? Split the room in half, then he could put something else where his computer was? Just a thought.
The other room is going to be used for aquariums, plants, and packaging! It’s also not a very cozy room and doesn’t get great natural light. The desk limits what configurations we can do in his bedroom, but the computer is for leisure and he enjoys having it in his room
Cute couple
EARLY !!! omg im so happy !

Good stuff. This is so good. You are so good. How are you so good?????????????? 😊👍👍😌👍
It’s a nice makeover👍🏽
By the way i just notice about your plant poles, why do you use a stick? Is it better to use a moss? I just wondering :”)

Where is the book tower/shelf from?
Benji! What’s the name of the plant that looks like a mini tree on the clear bowl with the string of hearts hanging?!
