Great job. I am new to Ube. Found this very clarify. Especially on the Yam Sweet Potato confusion.
Thank you for sharing this recipe. I don’t know if I like the consistency of what you made, but I would love to see other recipes with Ube yams
Thank you Wendy for sharing your cooking expertise with us.
Amazing thank you for shearing
Thanks! This was useful
It is so beautiful!! And delightful to watch you prepare it - I love the contrast of the calendula petals!
Awesome video Wendi! Great color contrast to the finished dish too. Would be wonderful to follow some of your garden fresh cooking tips or treats. Happy Gardening! -Bob...
I've only ever had ube as desert🤤. I'll have to look into adding it to my garden
Thank you for this information!!! Diving into making Ube cupcakes soon!💜😊
Thanks for the cooking tips. I am going to make this tomorrow afternoon. 😀
Good video!! Thank you
The food matches your outfit. How cute!
Hi miss. Very interesting it’s so purple I thought you were going to turn purple lol. I’ve never seen this type food. You have a verity of things you do. When I finally get my house built and my raised garden 🪴 I’ll buy some things from you. Thanks
Looks lovely 😍 gotta try it
They are so good roasted too!
Very beautiful earrings 😍 looks amazing on you. You truly glow..
Thank you!
My father used to plant it in sandy loam soil. It will grow bigger
I wonder if they can be cross pollinated to make a hybrid ?
Ha! I gasped when you took a bite of that mountain yam! I've seen them in Asian grocery stores and could never figure them out -- because they look like a cut tree limb. I didn't know they can be eaten just as they are (after washing, I guess). So now I'm game to try one or more. Possibly cut one into thin discs and fry them with butter and herbs?
My girlfriend is Filipino -- and her family farms cassava root. That's along with a whole lot of rice.
I will mention the Ube purple yam to her. But I'd like to know your thoughts about cassava root.
Thanx for an impressive video!
Do you sell UBE slips? I want to plant in containers... thanks
I have only had Ube pancakes. When you mean "gooey", is it like okra (that slimy kind of texture)?
You did not mention if you can eat ube or yam leaves or tips, i like to buy ube plant and or jello vine from you
Thanks for showing TRUE ube, many are misinformed
You could just slice it and boil am certain it would taste better
There is another yam that is similar to the UBE, but the flesh gets yellow when boiled and it has a single vein in the middle along the fleah that is hard
That is cassava
@@janbelljara4495 yep...
Yours looked good. But without a recipe or description. I used a recipe that may be better. From a video that explains how to cook it and what to put in it. Yours looked pretty though...
Looks more like Poi. 😀
Do you ever read and respond to fellow gardners. I've must of commented couple dozen times on many of your videos. I'm kinda sad you don't respond. Lol
Hi there! Sorry I’m behind in replying. Been working on something I’m excited to share soon. You caught my attention at your earlier comment about my raised bed not being red wood. :D Thank you for your fabulous comments and support!
I figure we can all help each other some way or another with ideas and experiences if we stay connected. I've found all kinds of cool ideas from other fellow gardners. Stay Blessed. Thank you for sharing your garden with us.
I thought the purple sweet potato was a yam!! Till now
Sticky so looks dangerous grating it by hand. I would use a food processor.
