Looks like good speakers, and although that is a good breakdown video, I've never took the dash apart, that's really not necessary, and the boxes will slide right out with minor manipulation. Also kicker could have made the tabs line up with the original screw holes, taking the chance on screwing tabs and possibly bending basket, as could happen with a new installer, will distort the speaker, and we know what comes next, premature speaker failure.
Crazy how much stuff has to be taken off to replace the speakers. Wow! So much for a “jeep” easy to work on them. Thanks for the great video
You couldn't ask for a more comprehensive install video. Thanks so much for an awesome product and great video.
*under the glovebox is a 13mm NOT 14mm*
So why the coaxial speakers for these? Really just need tweeters on dash. Sell an option with these jist as midbass drivers?
Wild how complicated this is.
I have a stock 7" UConnect basic sound system. I've seen others install Inline output converter behind the head unit before connecting any upgraded speakers. Should that be the case here too?
I have bought it now and am waiting for it to arrive and test it, but after a lot of research, I found that the best, most appropriate and safest solution to try to develop the speaker for your car, whether the alpine system or the regular one, is available at this store and the prices are very wonderful. I wish that international delivery would take place. Accept my greetings from Saudi Arabia
So what good will these do. No amp, you are just connecting good speakers to no watts. How would I add an amp to a plug and play gladiator?
Are the brackets/rings necessary? Or can the speakers be mounted directly to the speakers boxes?
Great video!! From researching online I was under the impression that the knee speakers were a royal PITA, unlike the other speakers!! Looking forward to this upgrade!! I have a 23 Sport 2 door 6MT with the alpine floor sub. It does ok but as a bass player I like my shit bass loud and my trebles crisp and my kids clear. I like to blast my rock and reggae which have lots of bass and if I go over 30 on the volume I can hear some distortion on the sound bar speakers.
Extremely helpful video
Just did the disassembly today. Not bad at all. I figured I might as well since I woke up to a dead battery. Imagine that...A jeep JL with a dead battery 😆
when are you guys going to do the factory sub replacement?
Wha is the part number for the 4" speaker adapter plate? Thank you for a great video.
It's a shame that Jeep made it so difficult to replace the knee speakers. I've done my dashtop and overhead bar speakers but I won't bother with the knee speakers.
Should you polyfill any of these 6 kicker speakers?
I get that… but what good are these ones without the amp?
Damn that’s a ton of work just to replace two speakers.
Cool video but there are so many ways I’d screw up this install lol!
