Man, I still wish rockstar fully finished Guarma, because what we got in the game for Guarma wasn't even HALF of what they had planned for the island, we only get to explore around 15% of the full island they made. It was intended to be an alternate open world, just like the main map, huge landscapes, mountains, so much explorable land, and secrets along with it. They even planned to have a whole treasure hunt with a pirate shipwreck, treasure map, and hidden gold, which made sense, since Guarma is in the Caribbean. Sadly, that was all scrapped, so the pirate stuff was shoved into the main world, they are now the locations where you can find the pirate tricorn, pirate cutlass, and the peglegged pirate skeleton next to the treasure chest under a bridge. I hope that maybe, just maybe, they fully complete Guarma in red dead online, with all of the explorable area and pirate treasure they planned, but it's unlikely, since it is rockstar we're talking about.

In a series of events fleeing a bank robbery gone wrong in st denis (New Orleans) you try to escape on a boat heading into the Caribbean
The boat sinks in a storm
You jump off and wake up on the shores of Guarma (basically Haiti)
Guarma is ruled by a military government still using slaves on its sugar plantations
You join up with Haitian rebels who rebel against the system and it gets so dire the military governor calls in the navy from Cuba
It’s so jaw dropping it shows up bc of the way it’s framed on the horizon with the sun behind it w ominous music as it starts blasting your position in an old Spanish fort
You end up taking it down w cannon fire
The music stops after the battle and you slowly walk past all the dead military government soldiers and the camera pans out to the sound of chirping birds and the sinking iron clad as the camera wobbles like you’re literally shell shocked
Actually Guarma is part of Cuba, but yes, the mission is awesome all along.

And this is when we can all say "it's a video game". It doesn't have to obey reality because it obviously isnt
david owens because the Cubans are poor.
@Sci Fi Is Awesome The CSS Ablemarle was roughly of Virginia's class and yes, the front turrets are not on the Virginia. My guess then, is its just an Ironclad modeled off the Virginia, but still still an inaccuracy none the less.
Edward Kenway attacked
This mission is one of the best.
Best gun fight I swear
Would be nice if we could actually SEE the enemy ship!
Its based on HMS vengeance or maybe it is HMS
Sam dargen I think it was more based of the USS Merrimack, it looks closer related to that than the HMS Vengeance, which was, although a pre-dreadnought battleship, like a transition from what we saw here to what we see in maybe WWI
its better that it never fully comes into view. it makes it far more ominous, especially with the music
Under Dan Houser I just cannot deny it, Rockstar has been releasing masterpieces one after the other.

Guarma was seriously unexpected....
We didn’t spend enough time on Guarma. Would’ve loved the chapter to be way longer than it was
What gun is the cannon? It looks like the same design as the smaller gatling gun but a much larger caliber. I'd say close to 20mm.
It's a "Hotchkiss Repeating Cannon." 37mm... ish.
One of the few ironclad ships you see in gaming
My game is bugged it didnt show my reticle so I thought oh must be glitch but no i cant even see my weapon wheel
watching this frustrated at that the person playing isn’t as skilled as I was on my first playthrough
Reminds me of the last battle in Saving Private Ryan

Uncharted 4 flashbacks
What's the song at the beginning of the video

4:15 bro brought a knife to a gun fight 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I wish the warship was an actual Modern battleship from the 1890s or 1900s.
Only European powers had that tech at the time. This is the Cuban navy, a nation that was younger than the US and purely agricultural.
What kind of warship was it
Manitamın en sevdiği oyundan bir sahneyi izlemeye geldim 🤓
