@@ericklagos1431 no complaints with mine thus far. Only 20 rounds through it as of now. Just one sight in day. Learning my scope is hardest part. My groups were 1” at 200 yards but my rest (sand bags home made) were not tall enough. So I wasn’t Rick solid. But I’m happy so far. I let my son use my good adjustable rest to sight in his Bergera 300 Win Mag. His first group was 1/2”. His average was 3/4” at 200 yards. We both hit a 300 yard 6” x 6” gong one out of three shots. The misses were very close. Barrels need to be broken in a bit too and I think that will help. Hope to get back out next weekend for another session with my Lead Sled adjustable rest to see what it can do. I’m going to wait till I have at least 100 rounds through it to give an opinion. I’m shooting 300 PRC Hornady Precision Hunter ELD 212 grains as that is what I’m going to shoot in Africa next May on plains game. My sons Bergera in 300 win mag grouped better…. Also brand new rifle but I believe the better test made the difference.

@@ericklagos1431 also first rifles we have owned with factory muzzle brakes. I did not know what to expect as the largest caliber I owned prior was .300 WSM with no brake and it was not fun to shoot. So I was not looking forward to a hard kicking win mag and 300 PRC. We were shocked. These two light weight rifles do not kick at all. A pleasure to shoot. No pain no soreness. Did not even feel like we went shooting. A 12 gauge kicks weigh more with #6 shot pheasant hunting with slight bruising the next day. Not so with these rifles. I thought factory brakes were more for looks and sales gimmicks. But nope they work amazingly. We will be shooting standing from shooting sticks in Africa so these soft shooting rifles will be appreciated greatly. Had already ordered a custom muzzle brake for the Win Mag before shooting it. Now I wouldn’t have ordered it.

They should maybe call it the "Hornady Proprietary Rifle" it has so many Hornady cartridges chambered for it! 😝I am glad they included 300 Win Mag and 7mm Rem Mag since they can clearly outperform the 7PRC and 300PRC in a custom rifle with enough magazine length and custom chamber reamer! Carbon fiber is great for making a light weight rifle. That is all it is good for over more conventional materials but it does shave weight fantastically! That is amazingly light!

A low cost option to look at is the the Vanguard Talon, from Weatherby. The Talon is equipped with a carbon fiber Peak 44 Blacktooth stock, the same stock they use on the Backcountry 2.0 Ti. To help reduce the recoil on this ultra-light set up, the stock features Peak 44’s 3DHEX recoil pad and threaded Accubrake. It is a sub 7 lb. rifle.

Just built one on their website in 7mm PRC 22 in barrel and Titanium action with the upgraded brake for $2900. Add the least expensive scope option which is the Leupold VX 5 HD 3.5-15x44 and one piece talley rings along with the large case and one is at $4400. Not horrible for a semi custom rifle set up all in, but definitely 3-4x above most folks price range. Albeit one could save $183 a biweekly paycheck and afford it in a year's time. If they could fit that in their budget instead of spending it elsewhere on things they don't really need.
Pretty fun video especially with the wife shooting the 300 PRC and laughing and showing how tough a bowling pin is.

Beware, my shooting/hunting partner just bought a Fierce Rogue 7 PRC. The rifle has a great feel, fed perfectly, and feels amazing when holding it (was so steady holding off hand). We did a very thorough job mounding a Leopold VX5 scope on it.
Off a very solid concrete bench rest (we both regularly shoot under 1 moa with other rifles) factor Hornady 160 CX ammo shot 3-5 inch groups and then we tried hand loading several loads/seating depths with barns LRX 168s and the best we could do was 2 inch groups.
We took the barreled action out of the stock and I was shocked. Keep in mind this was a brand new $2500 rifle. It was the worst action/stock fit/non existent bedding job I had ever seen and I have beded many rifles old and new. With the action screws removed the action slid back and forth in the stock channel over a 1/4 inch and rocked like a sail boat side to side 1/2 inch l, the action screws were 1/3 the size of the action screws holes on the stock as well.
We glass bedded the action and left the barrel free floated after the first 2 inches of barrel channel. This removed all movement. It is now shooting under moa and some hand loads we are working up shoot .5 moa.

Hey Tim, unfortunately this is the down side to the 7 PRC. There is very limited ammo available for it. Our guarantee is with quality ammo, so handloads fall into that as well. We let the rifle pick the ammo if we are shooting factory ammo. If it was a 7 Rem Mag, we would shoot a variety of loadings to see what combination will shoot the best. The same goes for the PRc, except there are only 4 commercially loaded options for the time being. We recommend trying all factory options on the market and trying handloads as well to find what the rifle is going to shoot best. Please keep us in the loop . Thanks!

Also, 90% of the time I will be hunting deer and creatures of that size. My two questions to you are: should I go with the rogue or the rival? And in a 6.5 or 7 prc? If deer sized game is what you’re going after I would say 6.5 would be your best bet. Less recoil, cheaper ammo/components, lighter gun since it’s a short action. Jim said he like this gun better than the waypoint but I’m trying to decide between a rival xp and the rogue as well. 500$ difference, is the 1/2 Mia guarantee worth it to you over the 3/4 Mia guarantee? The only real difference is the guarantee and the stock being different, the stock on the new rival has an adjustable cheek test and a more vertical/modern grip. To me it’s worth it but go to cabelas and see if the rogue fits you well.

I made the mistake it investment not sure which of ordering the fierce ct rival in 300 PRC and a gunwerks magnus in 7 PRC in the same week 🤦🏻‍♂️ got the fierce first and was impressed but the fit and finish on gunwerks had me questioning if I messed up with the fierce but seeing this made me happy!!! Another built-in recoil-reduction feature - in addition to the butt pad and the muzzle brake - is that is appears the butt of the stock is raised slightly higher than usual. I would guess that the more in-line the buttstock is to the bore, the more straight-back - and thus manageable - the recoil impulse. Sort of like the layout of a Barrett MRAD.

Don't regret buying my Rouge in a 24" barrel 7 PRC. With Hornady 180 Match. After a fouling shot. The next three shots at 100 yards was completely covered by a dime. Finally got some Berger 195 ammo. At 200 yards a 5 shot at .75". I love my Rouge
By the way, my wife has no idea what I spent. 🤫

Your wife is so great! Hope she appreciates you taking care of the three B's. lol I'm sure that rifle is nice, but you said it don't fit you right so in my opinion they need to come up with a way to fit these stocks to the person that ordered a "custom rifle", because fit is one of the most important things at that level. Why buy a five thousand dollar rifle and a one thousand dollar stock that's adjustable, that's like buying Porsche and putting it on a Ford truck chassis. Why? They could at least have some options for stock sizes that make sense even if it involves length of pull adjustment with spacers. Maybe? Nice rifle anyway, I seen that video where a man took an Elk at one thousand yards with a Fierce rifle in 7 PRC so.... Have fun, be safe!

The Rogue looks like a great option for a Semi-Custom gun that you can get in a 20" 7mm PRC. If money is not the problem. Are there enough pluses with the Sgt Slaughter custom you had built that you would do it again vs buying a semi-custom? Looking for a gun that can stay in the family for years and will be the gun that is fought over to have.
