You really NEED to shoot some Seekins bolt guns. I sell guns PT and have shot all of the guns mentioned except the Fierce to this point. All Seekins I have shot to this point are legitimate .75 moa or better at 200m (the range we use for testing). Timney Elite Hunter triggers (set at 2.5 lbs from the factory), great quality barrels, absolute satisfaction accuracy guarantee (as well as complete warranty for ANYTHING on the rifle forever). I don't get the stocks feeling "cheap" at all. They are carbon composite, great palm swell and pretty stiff. Bonuses are 1) They build everything but the trigger in house 2) Everyone at Seekins is passionate about what they do and you actually get a person on the phone when you call. Customer service/support in this business is incredibly important and there is no other manufacturer I have dealt with on the same level. There are a couple of other manufacturers in the same price range that are popular (you KNOW who I'm talking about) that are HORRIBLE. For reference, there is not a single one of the salesmen in our shop (+-20) that doesn't own at least 1 Seekins rifle. I am currently waiting on my PH2.
I actually picked up a seekins this last December due to the salesman experience with his. Straight out of the box with shots 8-12 he had a group with less than a .2 of an inch spread. Even the largest groups were less than .5 using a 6.5 prc. Mine is super light (comparing to my old sendero) and looks to be fitted really well. Unfortunately I was impatient and picked up a 7 rem instead of the PRC but that'll likely be changed in the future. Btw their muzzle brakes are aggressive for lack of a better word. Update: Got mine flipped over to a 7 PRC and it shoots lights out and fits like a dream. I can not say enough good things about seekins.
@backfire First, I want to say that I've spent a ton of time over the last 3 weeks (a little time over the last year) researching longer range hunting rifles, and you have become my favorite source of information! Keep up the great work! While growing up in Western NY, I could only hunt with a shotgun, so limited experience with rifles. I have had a 270 that I use for deer in NC, but am looking for a "do it all" gun for larger game in retirement (Elk, Moose, ...). I love what I'm seeing about the 7mm PRC, and have narrowed it down to that caliber. I love the look and initial reviews of the Bergara, and wondering if you have considered updating (or a follow-on video) of the bet 7mm PRC now that some other manufactures have since released a 7 PRC offering. Am narrowing down on the Bergara b-14 HMR in either the Wilderness or Carbon Wilderness (just not sure the extra $400 is worth it for someone hunting and not shooting competition). Also love the concept of the Burris Eliminator IV to help this older guy who hasn't grown up calculating DOP. Still researching the optics, but would love your take on where the Bergara HMR Wilderness would fall in your list (if at all).
I've said it several times: the value proposition for a Ruger American Go Wild is hard to beat. The stocks really are the weak point (but can be enhanced somewhat). But in good news, all but the .243, 6.5CM, 25-06, and 30-06 have upgraded magazines (my .308 has NEVER had a misfeed with the AICS mag). If you hunt in anything but dry climates, you'll appreciate Cerakote. And the muzzle brake is effective. Worth the extra $150 over the Standard.
Yep, the Ruger "go wild" in 7prc in the MDT oryx chassis eliminates 2 issues with one solution, it gives you a MUCH better stock/chassis system AND let's you use AICS mags. The only downside (or upside depending) is you've also made it a little heavier, good for shooting at the range, not so great for carrying long distance. *Edit, I apologize, I misspoke, the MDT oryx chassis isn't available for a Ruger long action (I could have sworn it was) it IS available for a Mossberg Patriot long action, but not the Ruger. Boyd's does offer stocks for the Ruger American long action, so that's something.
I am excited for this one. I love my 6.5 PRC and I think that I would get the Ruger American in 7 PRC and then put it in a Chassis system. That way you get the AICS Magazine and you are still getting everything for under 1K depending on who you go with. I like this one thanks for showing it!
@@keithprinn720 you can stay around 1K if you get a decent optic. There are always options and deals. I just got a Vortex Diamondback 4x16 for $199 at Midway USA. You can get a Harris style bipod for around $50. Boyd's makes good stocks from $175 and up. You can still get good hunting g gear without clearing your savings.
Exactly what I did I bought the Ruger American predator in 6.5 creed put it in an mdt chassis and just love it! The Gen 2 American in 7 PRC in the same chassis would be amazing
The Ruger 7mm PRC as well at the 6.5 prc have loading issues because of feed ramp angles. Too slow or too fast it wont load. The magazine are fine, it is just the metal feed ramp wont hold the rounds high enough. Also people at Magpul are aware of the issue for the 6.5prc as their stock and mag will not fix the feed ramp issue. The magazine on the go wild is great and you can see the upgrades on it. Feeding is not magazine related.
I just got a Browning X Bolt Pro McMillan in 7 PRC, I put a Steiner Predator 8, 4x32x50 on it and I love it. Although the scope had to be shimmed to allow it to be bore sighted. Called Steiner and talked to them about it and was told to get Burris signature rings with the shims to get a proper 100 yard zero. So that’s what I did. Love the rifle it’s actually my new favourite!
I was using the 20 MOA rail that came on my Browning but the guy at Steiner said a 0 MOA might help. It didn’t. I then sent the scope back to them and they did some adjustments and sent it back. I was able to bore sight it with Vortex medium rings on my 0 MOA base. I’m going to take it back to the range to get it dialed in. I need it to be perfect as I’m taking that rifle to Newfoundland in September to hunt Caribou !
The great thing about the Ruger American Go Wild is that most of the calibers come with a single stack magazine that feeds flawlessly. I own one in .243, 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 win mag.
You should definitely take a second look at seekins. Sure I can understand that you don’t like the stock. I was between the waypoint and the element. Waypoint initially felt more comfortable but after a day on the element, it was a no brainer. Seekins just shoot lights out, and are incredible for their price range. And if you want something more prs style look at the HIT. Everything you want in a prs rifle for 2k along with seekins guaranty. Pretty hard to beat in my opinion. Was also looking at a fierce but we’re too heavy for me even in the carbon stock and carbon barrel. My element is a 6.5 prc with VX5 3-15, ti brake. Total weight is 7lbs even and kicks like a 243
Only thing I don't like with the Seekins 7mm PRC is it's a 26" barrel.(Havak PH2). Would prefer a shorter barrel. The Element which has a 22" barrel is too expensive.
I think there are precious few platforms this cartridge makes sense in. The 7mm PRC was designed to optimize a standard long action, and so my first criteria for rifles that really make sense with the cartridge is that it be a standard long action. And there just isn't a lot of these actions available on the market. The push feed bolt actions were mostly designed as a cheaper response to the exquisite but expensive controlled round feed Winchester Model 70 and other sporterized Mauser based actions. To cut down on machining costs, manufactures skipped the standard length long action and went straight to the magnum length long action. So if you have a Remington M700 LA or any of its derivatives like Bergera, a Savage M110, a Browning A-bolt or X-bolt, you don't have a standard length long action. You have a magnum length long action. Plenty of standard length cartridges have been chambered in these magnum length actions over the years, but the 7mm PRC is uniquely unsuited for this. Most of your traditional standard long action cartridges, like the .30-06 and its derivatives, and the standard length belted magnums like the 7mm Rem Mag and .300 Win, all have case lengths of 2.5 inches or so. So these cartridges can be loaded longer than SAAMI spec to better fill out the extra length in the magazine. This allows you to get the right seating depth for best accuracy and frees up space in the case for powder allowing optimal velocities. The 7mm PRC has a case length of 2.28 inches. This allows it to use really long VLD bullets in a standard long action without intruding on case capacity. However, it means that even the longest bullets can now not be seated out to fill a magnum length action. A magnum length action can take cartridges lengths of at least 3.6 inches, and depending on your magazine box, often significantly longer. A Wyatts extended box will allow you to seat a 195 gr Berger to over 3.8 inches in a .28 Nosler or a 7mm Rem Mag. But with the 2.28 inch case length, the 7mm PRC is designed to take these bullets out to a cartridge length of 3.34 inches, and you really can't stretch them too much farther than that. As a result, I don't think any magnum length action makes a lot of sense for the 7mm PRC. You really have to look to find an actual standard long action. Something like a Tikka. Or an expensive custom action. There is just better options available if you're looking to optimize performance from a more readily available magnum length action, like a Savage or Remington M700.
It seems the Savage 110 UL in 7mm PRC might be the sweet spot in terms of price/performance. Haven't heard anything bad about those rifles unlike the Mossberg and Ruger which seem to be hit or miss. The price does start to get up there, but still significantly cheaper than the other options that have a barrel and accuracy of that caliber (no pun intended).
I have Browning; the trigger is adjustable, I had a gunsmith adjust the trigger and brought down to 2 lbs, I am more accurate with that rifle chambered 7 mm RM than any other. I plan to get a 7 PRC, I'm open to makes but Browning is definitely on the list. I've not been jumping on the PRC band wagon, but now that there is a 7, I'm in.
I just bought a 7prc in a x bolt already own a 270wsm in one get the mcarbo trigger spring u can do it urself my 270wsm trigger is around 2 pounds only cost me 20 bucks
I just had my fierce firearm rifle made. I went with the 6.5 prc as it will be a mule deer gun and hopefully an antelope if I can draw this year. I would have loved to get a 7 prc but I looked at components and reloading looks to be a good year or two out before things will get "accessible" (whatever that means these days). Now I just need it to quit snowing so I can hit the range range and get some rounds down it!
Owned a Fierce Fury 7 Mag for five years and it shoots extremally well, Beware of their deplorable service and hopefully your rifle never needs service because in plain English it sucks. 3.3 Google reviews and virtually all the negative reviews refer to service. My first hand experience with service was the same. I needed a new trigger because it slam fired and it took me weeks to get someone on the phone. I did get a new trigger no thanks to John and his do nothing attitude. Good luck with yours.
Something to note about the carbon fiber barreled options is that they are NOT heat friendly. They're not dangerous or anything, but they exhibit much worse groupings as they heat up. This makes them better for hunting because you're not often taking multiple shots in relatively quick succession, but they're not optimal for competition or range use. They can certainly shoot very good groups, but they struggle much more than a good steel barrel as they heat up. After doing my research and really soul searching regarding what type of shooting I'd be doing most often I settled on steel barrels for everything for me personally (I'm much more likely to shoot long range than I am to go hiking deep in the woods because I have a 1000yd range on my property) I'll take the extra weight for greater consistency over ultimate portability. Not saying carbon fiber barrels are bad at all, but they're not perfect in every scenario.
@@jaydunbar7538 I'm just saying that just because they're awesome at one activity does not make them good at another. Just because his channel's focus is on hunting doesn't mean people who aren't predominantly hunters won't watch his content. I wouldn't call myself an avid hunter, but I do shoot long range and I do hunt deer. I still watch his content because he does decent reviews on products that other channels might skip over. Tactibros (as I like to call them) only want to talk about specific things, and long range channels generally have lackluster review content. If you want a review on a specific scope (or hell, even a specific brand) most channels don't branch out much, so you kind of get stuck in an endless loop of the same reviews of the same optics. Backfire is a breath of fresh air in that regard. His content reaches a pretty wide audience and it's generally good content.
I nervously purchased a patriot in 7 PRC(first my FFL could get their hands on) and the action is a shooter. I shot 5, 3 shot groups and they were all under 1". The myself and two friends shot a combined 10 shot group(I shot 7 of the) at 1.3". We were shoot the 175 ELDx factory rounds. I have a pile of 160 grain copper test loads ready to go, but work is getting in the way of shooting.
Just picked up an interesting Begara. A B14 Hunter FSP (fluted special purpose) in 7PRC. They are only found at a few select Begara dealers. It sports an enlarged bolt knob, tan speckled stock, and a 22" 5/8x24 threaded black cerakoted #4 fluted barrel coming in at 7.1 lbs for $799.
Great Video. I'm looking at getting a Allterra in 7 PRC, but I'm a little nervous about components. I jumped on the 6.5 PRC early, and couldn't find quality brass for 3-4 years, worried 7 PRC will be the same. Just can't purchase a rifle for 3500-5500 then a box of commercial ammo for 80-90 dollars...thats crazy.
I picked up a Savage 110 High Country 7mm PRC a couple months ago. I’ve only had it to the range once. I swapped the glass for something better suited to long range. I need to get it back out.
Watching this a year later as im researching the cartridge and a bunch more companies are picking it up. And super stoked that bergara is chambering the HMR Wilderness in it. The HMR I think fits the bill extremely well
Interesting comment on the heavy Browning trigger. I thought mine was heavy as well. Then I put the gauge on it and it was comparable in weight to others I have. I wonder if it’s the shape or position of it that makes it feel heavier than it actually is. I will say also, that it does not adjust down as low as they say it should.
I think Bergara and the Beretta Family (Tikka, Sako...) are both waiting for the CIP release of the 7 mm PRC. Sako/ Tikka where the first companies, that introduced the 6,5 PRC, so there are high chances for the bigger brother to come. ;) cheers
I'm waiting for Sako to bring it out because if I buy something else I know I'm not gunna be happy with it no matter how much I try to convince myself I'm just a sucker for Sako they have never let me down and I've had them for over 25 years cheers Yogi 👍🤘🇦🇺
I had a different take on that Mauser: Given that Paul Mauser personally invented 7x57mm Mauser, the 7mm cartridge that is the granddaddy of numerous cartridges ranging from the .30-06 to the .257 Roberts, it seems apt that the new powerhouse 7mm cartridge, arguably a spiritual successor to the 7mm Mauser, pairs will with that new Mauser rifle. Great video!
Go find a rugger skeleton stock in 7mag. Rebarrel in 7prc and stop doing high dollar gas and then find out what one is best. 28 inch 1:7 twist and put your favorite scope with regular dial and a lot of magnification cause you will need it to find any limitations.

I'm having a 7mm PRC on a Savage action with a 22" Preferred carbon barrel in MDT hnt26 chassis. You should do a video with yours and mine, custom action vs Savage. I live in St George
@@Honkers716 I got the chassis on black Friday for under $1200 and I already had a stainless Savage 300 win mag that I was using. It would have cost over $1000 to get a custom action. I didn't think it was worth it. I think it would be cool to compare it with a custom action though
I have the Savage 110 ultralight. $1000 barrel with a $400 receiver in stock is exactly where my money needs to be directed. Sub 3/4 groups. Nice rifle. 10:57
Going to get me a 7PRC in a Remington 700 when I can find one. Like the rifle, like the accuracy, I grew up with the brand and it hasn't let me down yet. If you feel you need to spend upwards of $1000 bucks on a gun you go right ahead, I'll do just fine with this one that is $700. I don't have to have all the bells and whistles to kill game with it and neither should you.
I don’t know of a model 700 action that is sized gor the 7mm PRC. They’re in between long and short action. It’ll be interesting to see who makes what if they even chamber for it. Its too well thought out to take some cheap stunt manufacturing shortcut, but it seems to happen all the time.
Just a fine point for future reference - not trying to be picky, I just noticed you made the same point multiple times. You don't 'put on' an Achilles heel, it would be more along the lines of 'if there is an Achilles heel' or ' if I were to highlight/pick out an Achilles heel'. :)
I'd like to try the savage impulse in 7prc. Mostly because you can switch from RH TO LH. With a ruger you could drop it on a element or Boyd's chassis and get a mag conversion kit.
I feel like I'd rather have a 28 Nosler 🤷♂️ but then again I love high powder capacity rounds. I'm having a 7mm RUM Ackley Improved built right now lol.
Have you ever had a pierced primer or a blown primer? These rifles that have a firing pin extension through the back of the bolt shroud provide direct pathway for 60,000 PSI of hot gas to blow right into your eyeball. I would rather keep my eyeball and have the back of the bolt covered. And not have a extended firing pin sticking out the back the bolt to provide a jet of hot gas right to your eyeball whenever a primer fails.
I love your channel, especially everything on the 7PRC! I think you need to take a little harder look at that Seekins. Better yet let’s see a Seekins vs Fierce video, from accuracy, quality, to customer service.
Do you have the problem with slow loading the round and the brass gets stuck in the chamber before it is all the way in? I have to use my finger to push it in the last 1 inch and the brass can get marred pretty bad if chambered at the wrong speed. It seems the feed ramps does not hold the brass up so it can go in straight. Factory hornady 175gr eldx
Surprised you didn't mention the CA Ridgeline FFT, which is a comparable price point to the Rogue. I just bought the CAR in 7PRC and it is a shooter. I also had the Savage UL in 6.5 PRC and the stock is crap but it shot very well in spite of that.
@@clintjoseph5832 I've shot the Hornady Precision Hunter 175gr. and the Match 180gr. and of those two my gun likes the Match ammo with .65" groups after 60 rounds. PH was more like 1.25-1.5" groups at 100yrds.
Now I don't quite get your opinion on the Seekins stock (when it is a carbon composite stock for a PH2). I don't personally own one but Ive been around a 6.5 PRC and 300 WM. Both shot really well and are really light. The biggest part I like about them is the action and extended length for 6.5 PRC, 28 Nosler, 300 WM and 300 PRC (I assume 7PRC too but they haven't published it). I reload for 6.5 PRC and would love to sit my bullet out further. Not possible for my rifle. However, Seekins has there 6.5 PRC length at allowing up to 3.14".
Seems like a better question for the Christenson arms website rather then the UA-cam comment section, be a faster and more effective way to find the answer.
I realize this video is from a year or so ago. I wonder how your opinion/experience have changed for the 7mm PRC now. I bought the Browning X-bolt 2. It does have the adjustable cheek piece, length of pull, and swappable grip contour0 as well as a better trigger compared to the Speed SR that you mentioned in this video. It also has the threaded barrel and comes with a muzzle brake but the fluted barrel is 24 inches. So far, I am pretty happy with it. Any thoughts on an update to this video?
Jim please review a havak element, I think you won’t be disappointed; and offered in 7prc they can’t be beat it’s basically a sako 85 action in a cheap elr sock… however it’s worth noting for the viewers!!!
Should have reviewed the Go Wild for this segment, WHO TEE WHO recently grouped .3" at 100 yards in his new video on it, I fail to see how that isn't "Long Range" or "Hunting" capable, especially with the 24" barrel that comes standard for the Go Wild in 7 PRC. The round cycling has not been an issue on any videos i've seen with the Go Wild 7 PRC except for one which clearly needed to be either maintained or sent back to the factory, which is either a user or warranty issue. So if you get a Go Wild 7 PRC that cycles reliably you should be perfectly fine for long range shooting and hunting, even if a $580 dollar rifle's stock and other components aren't high end, which wasn't the goal as it's under $600 dollars, you can just upgrade that later if it becomes a problem for you.
Hey long time watcher here. The more I watch the more I want to try my hand at some short long shot shooting. Was wondering what your thought are of the ruger precision chambered in 300 wm 🙂
Il still choose the 7mm rem mag over them.. the chart you posted the 7prc doesn't out perform it by much at all... and to be honest I can get alot better numbers by hand loading 🤷♂️
@Backfire Do you think you'll do a review on the Christensen Arms Modern Hunting Rifle? I feel like the 7MM PRC might do extremely well with the MHR. Would really love to know your thoughts on it
The mauser actually has wuite a thick barrel compared to others. That model you have is 19mm at the muzzle the other mausers are 17mm at the muzzle. Compare that to tikka 16mm and browning xbolt hunter is wven thinner
When you add the scope, muzzle device and sling and tripod the inexpensive rifle double or more easily. I like the sound of the caliber and use but not in a recoil sensitive low weight rifle and stock. Hope to see a Bergara and Tikka, not interested in rediculously light given the power of the cartridge to tame. Great subject and observations but a Fierce with the add ons is simply astronomous for most. An X Bolt with a modified replacement trigger or amercian with a replacement magpul stock? now interested. or the 110 with that barrel.
Hi Always look forward to your vids … I have a question. I’m getting a 7mm PRC and looking at both the Savage Ultra lite/ proof and the Weatherby 307 Alpine CT. Which would you recommend please ?
Thanks. I have a Fierce Twisted Rival (spiral-fluted SS cerakoted barrel) on order. Another plus in moving up to the Rival from the Rogue is the option of a box mag. I just can't warm up to the carbon barrel.
They deteriorate pretty quick. A gunsmith who shoots match saw my disbelef when he told me that so he opened a drawer and pulled out 3 or 4 barrels that used to be carbon fiber. They just disintegrate with the heat from being shot. Epoxy doesn’t like heat.
I have the Christensen arms mesa. I had to send it back to have it looked over. I could hardly eject the brass. Variances were to tight. I was shooting Hornady match 180gr frustrating. Hoping to get it back before my South Africa hunt in several weeks.
See, I had REALLY wanted a Christensen rifle. I don't really know why, but they always felt so good in the store. Now that I can finally afford to buy one and not feel bad about it, I'm reading QC issues left and right with them especially in the new 7PRC

Tikka T3X Tac chambered in 7 PRC.
I will pre order that as soon as it’s announced
😄you wouldn't be alone
The great thing about the Ruger American Go Wild is that most of the calibers come with a single stack magazine that feeds flawlessly. I own one in .243, 6.5 Creedmoor and .300 win mag.
Is that go wild in the factory stock or did you put it in a chassis? How’s the accuracy been?
@@rpk5250 Factory stock.
Total weight is 7lbs even and kicks like a 243
Sounds like you are talking about the Element, that's the one I am looking at in 7 PRC of course.
Interested, tell me more
Only thing I don't like with the Seekins 7mm PRC is it's a 26" barrel.(Havak PH2). Would prefer a shorter barrel. The Element which has a 22" barrel is too expensive.
I have an X Bolt Long Range in 7 Rem Mag. I was able to use the trigger spring kit from M Carbo and get it down to a consistent 18 oz trigger
I do like your argument, it is a good one
Fierce's new Rival 7prc with a 20", lightweight 7" suppressor and a 3-18 leapold...........done for life 👍🙏✌
I may grab the 22” version, I have the 3-18, and the 3-15, may buy a 4-24.
I bought one , topped it with the leupold vx5 hd 6 20 and I love it , accurate ,, adjusted the trigger to 2 lbs amazing rifle
The Seekins a good rifle for the money, but I agree about the stock. It does feel cheap. On the flip side, it's light.
Do yourself a favor and evaluate the Seekins. I own two and they're incredibly accurate rifles. As accurate as many of my custom rifles.
Pls I love winter let it snow a bit longer 😂
Yes they are for hunting, which is the activity his reviews are based on.
Wow, can't believe you didn't mention the Mossberg Patriot. Your Mom raised you right.
Still has to be worth a review. Who doesn't love a cheap rifle.

Timney makes a great replacement trigger for the browning
Night and day difference for very little money
Seekins Havak element is amazing. Very accurate and light
Shot my 7 prc today 4 shots one hole...love it
Great Video.

Yeah, I needed this because I'm going to go pick one up tomorrow and haven't quite made up my mind.
Watching this a year later as im researching the cartridge and a bunch more companies are picking it up. And super stoked that bergara is chambering the HMR Wilderness in it. The HMR I think fits the bill extremely well
Jim, bergara told me at the expo in salt lake they are making the 7prc. You probably know better than I would, but just figured I’d pass that along.
Yeah, it'll come to the premier line first and then trickle down to everything else, but it will be a while.
Sako/ Tikka where the first companies, that introduced the 6,5 PRC, so there are high chances for the bigger brother to come. ;)
cheers
I'm waiting for Sako to bring it out because if I buy something else I know I'm not gunna be happy with it no matter how much I try to convince myself I'm just a sucker for Sako they have never let me down and I've had them for over 25 years cheers Yogi 👍🤘🇦🇺
And I'm waiting for the Bergara!!
Please do best rifles and worst rifles review for 300 WSM next. ❤
Bergara just announced they are going to chamber for the 7PRC. Curious on which model they will chamber it in first.
Christensen Ridgeline FFT. With the brake that comes with it, recoil is in the 243 range.
Hard watching all these videos about PRC rifles. Yet cant find one anywhere
They're definitely rolling out, but I think within the next two months, there will be tons on the shelves.
Can't find rifles here in New Zealand yet. Just starting to see some 7PRC ammo in the shops
Really am enjoying your videos. Thanks from South Africa 👍👍👍
Go find a rugger skeleton stock in 7mag. Rebarrel in 7prc and stop doing high dollar gas and then find out what one is best. 28 inch 1:7 twist and put your favorite scope with regular dial and a lot of magnification cause you will need it to find any limitations.
7mm PRC Go wild doesn't use the old american rotary magazine. It uses a new single stack mag and can also use aics mags.
Did not know that. I'll be anxious to test that out.
Can't wait till Bergara comes out with the 7prc in their latest line. Going to buy one, slap the Steiner on, and hunt with it for the rest of my life.

A 10$ spring for the trigger on browning Xbolt will let you drop the trigger weight down to a little under 2 lb I replaced mine and it works great
I did the same! I had no idea how horrible that trigger really was until I dropped a new spring in. It's a very nice trigger now.

The good thing about the savage ultralite is you can change it to a mdt stock and change it to metal clips
I wish magpul would put out a long action stock for the Ruger American. Especially if they could make it a little lighter.

Can’t go wrong with browning xbolt with M-carbo spring. Have one in 6.5cm and 28 nosler.
Get a Seekins Havak element In 7 PRC and test it out and I bet it will change your mind for what you think about seekins precision
Got the ruger go wild in 7prc, luckily they keep a bunch of ammo in the back and was able to get 5 boxes of eldx.
@abrowncitizen no issues.

Surprised you didn't mention the CA Ridgeline FFT, which is a comparable price point to the Rogue. I just bought the CAR in 7PRC and it is a shooter. I also had the Savage UL in 6.5 PRC and the stock is crap but it shot very well in spite of that.
Agree I have two
They are the most “hunter ready” platform. Better than Fierce for sure.
What kind of ammo are you shooting out of your CAR?
@@clintjoseph5832 I've shot the Hornady Precision Hunter 175gr. and the Match 180gr. and of those two my gun likes the Match ammo with .65" groups after 60 rounds. PH was more like 1.25-1.5" groups at 100yrds.
Awesome video! Thoughts on Fierce Mtn Reaper in 7PRC? Also would you do a 20 or 22inch barrel?
That weatherby 338 with the 18" barrel, make that a 7prc and I'm happy. I'd settle for a 20" too maybe

Nice Video, thinking about 7prc so it fits my thoughts of choice...since publishing, have you tried Browning X-Bolt 2?
I realize this video is from a year or so ago. I wonder how your opinion/experience have changed for the 7mm PRC now. I bought the Browning X-bolt 2. It does have the adjustable cheek piece, length of pull, and swappable grip contour0 as well as a better trigger compared to the Speed SR that you mentioned in this video. It also has the threaded barrel and comes with a muzzle brake but the fluted barrel is 24 inches. So far, I am pretty happy with it. Any thoughts on an update to this video?
Just got a 7 prc in the Christensen arms Ridgeline fft do you receive that one??

The mauser actually has wuite a thick barrel compared to others. That model you have is 19mm at the muzzle the other mausers are 17mm at the muzzle.
Compare that to tikka 16mm and browning xbolt hunter is wven thinner
Those thin barrels won’t hold a pattern since the PRCs are made for longer heavier bullets with tighter twist ratios.
Tikka t3x UPR in 7prc would be the greatest combination ever made.
I really hope that maybe some day Sig Makes a Cross in 7 PRC.
The Begara B14 HMR is now available in 7 PRC.
