i bought my adopted sisters husband the XU10 for xmas last year and he loves it, i also got their daughter(5) the sf2000 which she loves, all recomendations made by this channel. So thank you for all you do my friend every console i have purchased i bought based on your reviews
I prefer the R36S which has a better ArkOS build that can play more systems than this and its cheaper than this. I got mine for 35 dollars on aliexpress!❤ thanks for the review wicked.
I have the r36s and the XU10 I liked it more the XU10 because of its speed boost and controls, you can play GTA and GOW at ease without slowdowns like the R36S and with a high-speed Sandisk microSD it works perfectly
It definitely justifies it's price tag just wish they would put coloured buttons or highlight the ABXY just to make it pop a bit. Once again awesome review love the detail 👌
Ya know, I have been watching your crazy ass for a long long long time and this will be the first handheld I buy based on one of your video. Looks like it does exactly what I want for the price. Good enough for 16 bit, Sega CD and NAOMI CVS2. Great video Wicked! Batteries look easy to swap out. as well
You can change the aspect ratio, for each whole "plataform" (GameBoy, PS1, GBA, NES, etc), or for each game; for each game, instead of just pressing the "Function/G button" quickly, stay with it pressed for a while (not inside the game, it must be done in the game list). You will see different options for the games of each plataform emulated, for example selecting a different emulator for one particular game, the aspect ratio, shaders, etc, and it will save the configuration for that game (if you change the emulator used for one game, the other options could change too). For example, for GameBoy, you can select different emulators for each game... If you chose the libretrocore "Gambatte", you can choose: Aspect Ratio (26 options), enable/disable bilinear filtering, different shaders (or no shader at all, more than 400 options), enable/disable "max speed/performance", different color pallets / colorization (more than 100 combinations). If you chose the "SameBoy" core, you can change: Aspect ratio, Bilinear filtering, shaders, and enable/disable max performance (no colorization options)... SameBoy, for example, is needed (when I tested it in retroarch in my PC), for the enabling the color hack called "MegaMan IV LDX" (Light DX, a slightly colored game), it didn't work with the Gambatte core using RetroArch in my PC (I have not tested it yet on the XU10 or the R36S, the only emulation handhelds I have). As the emulator for each game... you can chose: Gambatte, SameBoy, GearBoy, TGBDual, mGBA, and VBMA libretrocores for GameBoy games (and a different one for each game), and you can set one of them as the default emulator for the whole plataform library, it woulb be the one used if you dont set another one for a particular game. At least, with the 3.2 version of the Magic-X (the lasted one) it works that way... for downloading it (any Magic-X version), search for "Magic-x github", or "XU10 magic-x github" in google, and you will find the link 😉 The only problem I really have with the Magic-X O.S. is that we can't save different button mapping sets for each game (you only can change it for the WHOLE SYSTEM, it's a pitty). By the other hand, they preconfigured PPSSPP really well (it must be "internally, editing or changing files or something like that, not only setting the PPSSPP options)... because it performs really well (God of War in the Magic-X v3.2, for example), better than any other O.S. i've tested in the XU10 (or the R36S)... Really, it performs really well for a RK3362 handheld device... with some minimal glitches (even if you mess with the PPSSPP options in the R36S or the XU10 using AmberElec, ArkOS, etc, and you diable the sky, and set the quality and acuracy to the lowest, it don't perform even near from what they got with less glitches/artifacts). That's the only reason I don't change the Magic-X O.S. , I would like to use AmberElec (or Rocknix or whatever), but the PSP performance decrease heavily, no matter what I try. If you "unlock" the Magic-X options with the "cheat"everybody tried (changing overwriting a couple of file with the Amberelec copies), the PPSSPP performance decrease the same than using another O.S. Of course you don't have a lot of options like with other O.S.s (AmberElec, ArkOS, Rocknix, etc), but there some more "hidden options", than the ones showed just by pressing the function button quickly.
Just picked up my second rg36s and I mad a bad decision the screen is not crisp like my other one and certain games didn't load especially being 128gb it's truly a knockoff of a knockoff definitely will checkout XU10 for my next handheld thx for sharing 💯
I threw out the stock OS right away and have the latest JELOS running on it. It was nice to update OTA. What has changed now? It looks like the old version…So it’s only a new stock OS? Where do I get to download it?
I would stick with the JELOS firmware, the updated V2.0 stock OS is still locked down and has limited settings and customisation. Jelos (and RockNix) is still the best for this.
With the MAgic-X version 3.2, The TMNT port takes 1 minute and 20/25 secs... it's still slow, but a lot better PD: you can change the language in the options (opciones), the 3rd option (IDIOMA). Regards.
How can you tell if it's a V1 or V2? I've purchased mine in a big part because you said the controls are good and am loving it. Yes there are some issues, but for that price it's amazing. I'll change the fw when I have time.
Best option: the microSD is crap. Install the 256 GB 2.0 firmware on a high quality microSD. It improved the performance a lot. And the big bonus: many many more "big" games for N64, DS, PSP and Dreamcast. For example, Tekken 6, God of War and Ridge Race run great on my XU10 now. And the digipad is a dream!
I am interested in this because of the cheat code system. Is there anything better than this that you can hook up to the TV through HDMI and has a built-in cheat code system?
