The SV-43 is owned by Joe Sgro and driven by Brian Forehand of Marker 17 Marine.
The balance on the boat is perfect the attitude is perfect . The results is a new record .. Quite impressive

I keep coming back to watch this pass. Absolutely perfect trim. Steady as a rock. 200 mph in a deep vee is coming soon. Speeds this fast in a deep vee were unthinkable not all that long ago.

title is misleading. Its just one pass, the record is held by Fountain and they did 178 average speed after 2 passes. For those interested, that event is interesting, its on youtube. I won't spoil it here but it was supposed to be a showdown between outerlimits and fountain.

No its not 180.4 was the average of the 2 runs he went 179.5 and 181 back to back for the record...
Fountain tried it with twin 2000hp turbo motors and couldn't beat that speed. Fountain hulls are yesterday's technology

It’s mainly the amount of air being suck in by those steps forcing the ass end up on top of the water. Kinda sorta like a cat. The boat is riding on a very thin sheet of air
