Happened to me today. But I saw another post. The guy yanked the steering to the right then put the key in. It should free the steering where. Then turn right then left and start the car. Works like a charm and no whacking needed

Would this work on a 2001 c240? mine did the same thing but then after a few tries the key didn't want to turn at all. My mechanic said it can be the ESL and if it is it can be rebuild. Still haven't know the problem for sure
I asked Wan (in the pic) just now and he said that the method differs for w203.. he added that he has never done it b4 for W203 as it rarely has ESL issues
@@HaniffYahya yeah man mine had this issue lucky my mechanic came through and fixed it. Not sure if he rebuild the ESL but he fixed it for $350 which was a really good deal considering mercedes dealer ship does it for $1800
Is it ok to pay a bit more to someone who will be there for you at times you needed him or her the most. And staying loyal is a good practice and also displays a good character of a person which is priceless.
@@ayoopat7372Yooo my dude. I’ve had that issue for a while. At first I remember taking it to a shop and they scammed me for a new alternator at that time back when I didn’t know much about the cars. Then I started doing my own research on the car and getting to know the cars mechanics and started working on my C300 W204. First I knew I had idea what the problem was but still took it in to a Mercedes Benz dealership to get a diagnosis and report & paid about $150-$250 . Once it was confirmed I did research on the part it’s self and turned out you can fix the esl lock module just by replacing a small gear in the module it’s self. Only cost me about $10-$18 bucks plus my own labor. MB wanted $1,357 just to replace the whole module itself
Nope. Bukak covet plastic tu n ketuk dari bawah macam Wan buat dalam video tu kat shopping mall. Itu just untuk kasi start balik sementara. Dah boleh start tu cepat2 baiki
@@HaniffYahya starting it is not an issue. I can bypass the starter fuse to start it manually from the fuse itself but I need to unlock it to get it to my parking spot to avoid towing it. I'm hoping this works
Theres one place where the club members go for this in selayang, RM800. Cheaper then Wan because he does it himself rather then outsourcing it. But i opted for Wan, because of loyalty. He came to rescue me on a weekend night, rode his motorbike to IOI City Mall and he just got married at the time.

You can repair the module there is a small motor in there. I just fixed mine

Keluarkan steering lock console rupa kotak kecik tu yang Wan pegang.. hantar untuk program unit bypass
