- Just wanted to do a warmup lap ... but that biker was fun to watch :) it happens not quite often that you meet a biker on track without having "speed collisions" in the curves ... but this time it worked out pretty well.

@Xthilox, thx for this movie, never seen myself riding the bike before ;-) ran a 7min16 on worn tires 2 weeks ago but my gopro failed on me at breidscheid :-(. Will be back next Monday to give it another try. Very proper driving in the cupra by the way!!!!

+xthilox thanks! Much better indeed without the helmet :D. The bike is just a standard 2013 Honda cbr1000rr. Not the fastest bike, but still the best handling when set up right ;-) hopefully the weather will be good next week!

+wasn't me hi, indeed it's me, i recognize your bike ;-). i'm not uploading anything yet as i keep on failing to produce a proper completely filmed lap. Will be going back on september 11. hopefully then! It was way to crowded in August everytime i went there :(. follow me and you should see a cool lap before the end of this year ;-)

Excellent video. One of the best on this track. Obviously, both you and the motorcyclist know the track well. You kept your distance very respectfully and the rider overtook traffic safely. Very smooth lines and lean by the rider. Lovely to follow.

I've driven this course playing Gran Turismo quite a few times but never realized how well the game simulated the real world. It was surprising how "familiar" the course felt as I watched this video. Gotta say, the biker and the car's driver set a pace that made the rest of vehicles look like they were just out for a leisurely Sunday drive after church! Outstanding!

I am actually amazed how Cupra is able to keep up with that beast of a bike. Great skills both of you. Something like a porsche gt4 might even out do the bike since this track is more suited for cars.
A Renault Megane or a Type R could out play the bike if it was a race, maybe even the Cupra could of.
They have mutual respect so aren't putting one another in danger, there was multiple times the cupra could have dangerously taken the inside line.

Great video. The car just can't live with the bike on acceleration but more than makes up for it with good driving. There was a couple of times he had the beating of the bike but just held back to avoid a potential disaster if it all went wrong. Even the biker could tell the car driver was very good.

Great video, good fun to watch and some excellent examples of riding/driving 'but' fer all the money and the mods in the world the Cupra was never gonna win, that bike if it is indeed a '1000' is probably pushing out somewhere in the region of 1000bhp per tonne as most modern 1000's do...
And all that power is transfered to road via SMALL patch of rubber... Thats why bike vs car is usuall a win for a car... Here car driver respect motorbike rider, and dont push it in corners or when breaking. Check how fast car catches a motorbike rider after those straights. All the power per weight ratio is bollocks, if you dont count VERY small rubber area bike has. Even SMALLER for breaking. Bike is superior only in acceleration from maybe 50 km/h on (compared to spoers car, 4wd, etc) where that power to weight ratio start to count. From zero wheel like to spin VERY easy or motorbike pushes front end up. Breaking, stability, error recovery, cornering (try to slip front tire a bit on bike - crash, while car is easier to recover from oner or understeering, srtc) are all on car's side. By the way, i am a biker and i love riding motorbikes. Different dynamic and feeling. No use to compare... just enjoy car or a bike.

El de la moto es un crack, por que el circuito tiene muchos baches y en plena tumbada la suspensión de la moto no está en su mejor ángulo si pilla uno fuerte, aparte de que se está jugando el pellejo pero bien, si no tuviese que ir con ojo para no caerse o salirse por que lo mismo no lo cuenta, no lo pilla ni queriendo
