I watched this video summer of 2019 as an incoming sophomore at UCSD ERC college. I took your tips and personal experience into account, and applied to UCLA and Berkeley, and I am heading to Berkeley this fall (rejected by UCLA rip). I just wanted to say thank you for such awesome advice.
Hi everyone!! Just wanted to let you all know she’s correct and transferring is 100% achievable. I attended UCR and applied to transfer to UCI and UCLA. I got waitlisted at UCI and accepted at UCLA (weird I know). I kept my GPA high and had a pretty good reason to transfer as well. Good luck everyone!!
hi hi I applied in the fall of my second year and got accepted in the spring. One of my closest friends did the same and she got into UCSC UCSB and UCSD. It’s possible, good luck! :)
Hi! I'm sorry I know it is personal but what were your transfer stats, if you do not mind sharing on the comments or in like 'dm' form? Do you think this impacted heavily as well as your essay responses?
Hi! Thanks for the tips! I am at UCSB and I worked really hard on my essays. I applied to Berkeley and UCLA and I got into both! I’m going to Berkeley!
Thank you! I got rejected from UCLA, but I got into UCSB. Right now, I'm interested in the financial world, so I really need UCLA. I'm definitely gonna try to transfer.
Fyi, the UC Letter of Reciprocity is only for within all the UCs, it’s a letter stating you finished the GE requirements for that are UC approved within the UCs only and not CSUs or other colleges
Great Advice for Prospective Transfer Students. I was a Community College transfer myself but I was accepted into UCSB instead of UCLA. Even though ya'll rejected me (lol) I've been a Die Hard UCLA Fan since I was Kid so No Love lost Here..#BruinNation
Hi I applied to UCLA for film major. unfortunately I got rejected 2 days ago. But I did get into UCSD for media arts major. I'm thinking about transfering to UCLA my junior year but I also learned that you can appeal a decision? I heard appealing a decision is not good on my record? is that true? should I appeal my UCLA decision or just go to UCSD and transfer later? UCLA is my dream school because it is the only UC that has a legitimate and the best film school.
Hi, Cindy. I am also a UCSD student now and want to transfer to UCLA. Do you know what writing courses to take in order to satisfy UCLA's writing requirement? Thank you!
When you said you talked to a counselor, should I be talking to a counselor from my current college? Will they help me? I thought they might have a basis or try to stop me from leaving the current UC i am attending. Can anyone give me advice on this?

i believe you have to wait till the fall (im transferring to ucla this fall, and from what ive heard they only take soph transfers or junior transfers. transferring as a sophomore is much much harder bc you probably wont have finished many of the requirements by then. junior transfer is more common)
If you are transferring into UCR as a junior transfer, I don't think you would be able to transfer again. Unless you take a gap year and choose not to attend UCR, and decide to apply again with your Winter/Spring grades and stronger ECs.
I am currently attending a cal state but my dream school is UCLA. pnp072000 exactly, I took dual enrollment classes during high school from a local community college and came into a UC with sophomore status, so I have to spend one year there instead of two before I can transfer :)
I'm from London, I'm only 15 so going off to college/6th form next year for 2 years then university. I want to attend uk uni for 1/2 years then transfer to UCLA. Any general tips as wanting to transfer as an international student ?
You got accepted from a CC to UCR as a junior transfer and is going to barely start at UCR this fall? Then you want to try transferring again? to where?
Don't bother transferring to UCSC, I live in Santa Cruz we already have enough traffic. If you transfer to UCSC to smoke weed (yes the rumors are true, we treat the day 4/20 like it's Christmas ) you're in school for the wrong reasons.
The core writing classes of each of the 7 colleges are usually considered hard: other GEs are usually pretty chill. For example, you can select non-STEM science GEs, or you can also select Physics for engineering majors to fulfill that same GE
Yoooo I sincerely need your help right now. I'm a senior and im trying to apply to ucla ucsd usc. I have the sat score, gpa and preparing to take subject test in order to apply to uc schools. However, the cost of attending ucla is really expensive. can you tell me about scholarships for out-state students?
