Shaman shouldn't be getting a major healing cooldown for their healing spec from their General Talent Tree to begin with. What you want is access to two potentially mediocre cooldowns that you have the agency to combine into a big cooldown. I think Blizzards intention is to reduce the total number of Shaman cooldowns so they can't chain them together for 60 seconds on end or have one available every 15 seconds. Which I think is an acceptable perspective on their end. Shaman is absolutely overtuned at the moment and power has to be pulled back from somewhere. If you want to keep the cooldowns that means it needs to come from your core kit. If you dont want it to come from your core kit, it has to come from your cooldowns. So I think this is a pretty acceptable change to target your least Resto-like cooldown. Also it's still really good for M+ cause the damage modifier wasn't changed. It's really just a very minor raid nerf. I think this was honestly about the best outcome shamans could have hoped for in terms of a largely non-disruptive nerf.
They would be better off simply removing the healing interaction and making Ancestral Guidance only do “25% of the damage you do is turned into healing” if that was their goal
Id rather prefer Ascendance going back to duplicate your healing (100% not 70%) and dumping AG instead of what they just did. Really liked the power of AG before this Nerf.
I kinda thought AG was too power honestly. It didn’t feel like it was a 10 sec buff, it felt like Unleash Life, except the next button I pressed full healed the group as well.
If you did this you’d be incentivized to never pair the two together since you’d get more healing by separating them. Would be better off just removing them from interacting at all if they wanted to do that, even if it’s less fun

I think If they nerf AG to 10%, they should make it 1 min CD. Less healing but more often. Rsham still missing 1min CD. ❤🙂

There were ele shamans that were hitting 400-500k hps on broodtwister and silken court testing too so I'm sure that wasn't helping.
@@shaso567 oh, I should have mentioned I was talking about resto sham. i didn't know that but makes sense.
Just make the 2 min ASC talent add a nerf to AG and put the AG talent back to what it was? 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah, the def nerfed the wrong CD in the OP combo.
