Mass Effect really did come up with the greatest war imaginable. Mass Effect three, in spite of all of its flaws, is my favorite story out of the whole trilogy. Because there’s just something so visceral and Raw about watching the entire galaxy fight for survival against a monolithic unified threat. Seeing every capital planet of every species getting decimated with every man woman and child in the trenches fighting the reapers, like come on guys. That’s the most epic fucking war imaginable

At a bare minimum, they should have allowed the player to discuss these developments with squad mates and key leaders in the Initiative. But no. We didn't even get that.

However, due to their technology, the Protheans managed contact with the Kett, who later turn out to be the product of technology pioneered by the Reapers to disrupt organics, much like how they engineered the Geth. However, in their own superiority, the Kett decided to fight the Reapers, and ultimately annihilated them from Andromeda. As a result, the Reapers send a number of their own to Andromeda as sleepers to indoctrinate populations over time that would be unaware of their existence, to create a pro-Reaper army against the Kett. Thus begins a war of who can assimilate the most species the fastest, between the Reapers and an autocratic, technofascist regime, with the colonists caught in the middle. Now THAT is a plot you can get behind.
@@marny3559 When I played the first Mass effect I imagined that the reapers were actually entities made of dark matter or something from a universe that rests right next to ours. And the reason they kill organics is because once organics get to a certain level of development their tech begins disrupt the reapers reality. So the reapers create machine bodies to come into our "lower" reality to clense the organics. There "higher" reality is maybe where souls go when they die or something. So the final most difficult choice in the trilogy is shepard choosing to save our universe by throwing theirs into chaos or throwing ours into chaos to secure theirs.
And the Andromeda-bound fleet was still within range when the war ended; meaning that it made either the Control or Synthesis ending canon, as SAM wasn't destroyed; likely Control, as the Synthesis ending would have likely altered the crew.
It effected a wide enough area to include the Initiative. They left right at the beginning of the Reaper invasion, and were still within the glowy death wave effect when the war was over; in fact, if the war lasted less than 6 months, they were still inside the milky way proper when it ended, much less just in its AoE. They would have needed to be traveling for over a decade to be outside; some of the mass relays were further away from the galactic core than the one they left from. Sorry, Destroy ending and Andromeda are mutually exclusive unless the Reaper war was decades long. Which... would be just absurd. (The relays each created their own visible sphere of effect, thousands of light-years across, and covered the entire milky way and quite a bit above, below, and around the edges; good, because there were probably Reapers further away from the nearest relay than the Initiative was at the time of the detonation. )@@bartegexe8182

Broken by the energy of the Crucible. So in Control they showed us that the Reapers are repairing all the Relays. In Synthesis, logically, the Reapers also repair all the Relays. And if the Reapers were alive, then the teaser would show the repaired Relays. Also, don’t forget the human Relay under construction in the 2022 teaser. If the Reapers were alive, then there would be no point in wasting the resources and time of organic races on building the Relay

Yes I borrowed some ideas from Star Wars Legends Yhu-Zhang-Vong Empire.
Here is my idea. The fact that the benefactor would communicate with Alec using images of all the races to me tells me one thing. The benefactor was indeed the Leviathan race.
In every other game, no one ever actually heard that sound. It was only for us. It's said that it's the sound you hear when indoctrination fails. That's why it keeps happening during key moments in me3, like the "dreams." The fact thry play it here is kinda dumb. They did it just so you would feel nostalgia for the reapers. Sad
This is so stupid they built and arks quicker based off a hunch. It would have made sense they believed Sheppard story based of intel and evidence from higher ups. The council believers Sheppard deep down they just did not want to alarm the galaxy. They knew of the cycle.
Plot Twist : The Benefactor was Harbinger who lured the species away so they can use Reaper tech to populate Andromeda and give Reapers a reason to attack Andromeda
I think it was someone like a shadow broker (pre Liara), because to know the reapers and organize the Initiative: -it was necessary to know the Protheans (works of Liara) -It was necessary to have contact with the Geths who apparently had located them in the Abyss ... we learn in Andromeda that the technique they used at the time (Gravitational telescope via the relays) was taken over by the Initiative to observe Andromeda and discover the Eden worlds before the launching of the arches. -It was necessary to have the means, to build arches and to bring the material to build the Nexus is not nothing. -It needed relationships, for secrecy in particular. In the end The initiative is a Noah's Ark to allow the main species of the Milky Way to survive the harvest.
Kind of randomly collected memory fragments when they were directly in my way, but when it became clear that news from the Milky Way might be available, it was literally the only thing in the entire game I cared about.
Would have been cool to see a scene where the arks could be seen leaving the milky way at the same time the reapers were starting to enter it...and nobody could have done anything, if they tried to send a warning, the reapers would notice them and taken them out in dark space
For all its flaws, I don't necessarily hate this game. Obviously it can't even begin to hold a candle to the trilogy, but there's plenty to enjoy about it.
Its kinda lucky the Hyperion didn't bump into the Reapers when journeying into Dark Space. It would've been nice if they could've shown a date at the beginning of Mass Effect Andromeda as all we know that the opening Earth scene is based between Mass Effect 2 and 3. Unless the Hyperion and The Arks took off while Shepard was on ice or fighting the Collectors allowing the Arks to use the Alpha Relay out of the Milky Way before Shepard destroyed it.
The Andromeda initiative left the milky way at the end of 2185 mass effect 2s ending the reapers lie outside in dark space and the reason they reached the Andromeda so quick was because of some sort of geth relay they found in dark space that was pointing towards and surveying the Andromeda it acted as an ftl relay and a telescope

@@lucashonorato_ they traveled that fast due to there being a geth relay called the "Kholas relay". It was 3 mass effect relays, joined together with a strange tech. It acted as a real time deep space telescope. The geth had no interest in any other galaxies, the put it together because they were looking for something out in deep space either were the reapers presided or something more.
Woulda been cool if the reapers were a greater threat than even for just the Milky Way If Andromeda had it’s own army of reapers maintaining the cycle, and if they were across the universe, and upon discovering the destruction of the milky way’s Reapers they decide to go and investigate/invade. Nothing ever states that the leviathans stayed in just the Milky Way, so that would be plausible. And it would be a big step towards bringing mass effect back to the quality of the original trilogy. Looking forward to 4 though, so very excited.
My bet was that the kett were the remnants of the races in andromeda that modified themselves into an organic version of the reapers. Or at least something close to that, maybe the last remnants of the protheans. There was a lot of directions they could go with andromeda but anthem killed that hope.
I like the idea that the reapers spend the 50,000 year cycle traveling different galaxies wiping out each Slowly making a circuit around the millenia and the reason it takes so long is because their reach is so large

When you arrive on the blue alien ppl planet (the new guys) , you can read messages that they plan to write to the human race in the milkyway (it’s a side quest). And one in particular say’s "I don’t believe you are adventurers. I believe you left bc of something terrible and it may follow you here" which clearly eludes to Reapers. Especially if you discovered the real purposes of the Ark by unlocking all of the AI guy’s memories
@@user-wr7mb3ic7m Which leads us to this; The Quarian ark left much AFTER the others (the Reapers were slowly waking up) They were almost all killed due to a virus outbreak turning everyone into zombies similar to husks (why would someone endanger their own habitacle ? …Unless they were indoctrinated) My theory is that while they were leaving a Reaper followed them (they were still to be catalogued and preserved in Reaper form) , it then sent a swarm to assimilate/indoctrinate ppl on board and then turn them into a Reaper army to take the humans/Quarians/Krogans/Salarians/etc. trying to flee the milky way. Which then could’ve made for a pretty good dlc where the "Last Reaper" attack our colonies (specifically alliances) meanwhile leaving the Angaran (I just remembered their name) ppl alone. As seen in the series before a lone Reaper CAN be killed, it just is very tough. So anyways, I think they definitely had plans for a last dance with a Reaper but when the game failed miserably they just scratched the whole idea.
I remember how people quickly created theory that this "mysterious benefactor" was no one ELSE than Cerberus founder Jack Harper vel The Illusive Man (and Cora is his daughter) which sponsored whole initiative before he started to tinker with Reapers tech and become completely indoctrinated by it. However, one of the big question marks in Andromeda lore is why someone like Harper, who supported openly racist and xenophobic movements on Earth would even consider an alien involvement (NOT to mention commonly despised by Citadel civilizations Quarians and Krogans which at the point of Nexus launch were on the verge of extinction) in "rescue operation" of this magnitude considering his background is beyond me and this is just one of the many "issues" which practically dissconec Andromeda from the core OT lore... and move it into "alternative aka what if... timeline" section of the franchise.
I agree the theory that it's the Illusive Man is really a stretch. Whoever is the benefactor they would have to have a monumental amount of resources, galaxy wide influence to get approval, and know of the reapers plus have a strong traffic of information to know an approximate timeline of when they come back. The Illusive man has the resources and the knowledge but like you said I can't see him wanting other races unless he had to accept making this a galaxy wide initiative to get galaxy wide approval for the project as it wouldn't be seen as a Human expansion and wouldn't get interference from the citadel also it then makes sense why he hand picked Garson (human) and Ryder (human) as the two major influencers and leaders of the initiative Another candidate is the shadow broker- he has the capital, the influence and knew of the reapers but the problem is then why was he looking for other ways to save himself in ME2 and the benefactor is clearly alive past ME2. I really can't think of anyone else that we know of which really bothers me and as bad as the game was I wish they put in the work to fix it and give us a better story with the benefactor, the quarian ark, the reapers coming to Andromeda and everything else.
Your mistake is thinking racism and xenophobia are simple to understand concepts. Cerberus was all about human advancement to the top of the food chain, not hating the other species. It's about carving out a place for humans in a galaxy in which humanity's first contact with other life was war. You damn Primitives throw out words like racism when it's clear you have only the most shallow and sanitized version of the idea.
Shadow Broker makes a bit more sense, especially since we learn that he was investigating the Reapers before Liara took over. Although, TIM makes a bit of sense, even while saving the other races. If he was trying to keep Andromeda on the down-low, it makes sense to operate against his MO, and not just save humanity.
I wish the files from mass effect moved over to this one I chose the Leviathan path and created a new form of DNA for merging synthetics and organics into one
@@jackylee5850 I believe from reading the novels that the Initiative started as all the species going together, by the time Illusive Man figured out Shepard was right there weren't any other options and the other species were already involved.
Pre sure Liara played a big part as well. She poured alot of resources & info into it as the shadow broker as a backup plan in-case the galaxy did fall.
Seriously though, the next one is definitely ME5 with the original crew towards Andromeda after the incident. This Benefactor has a lot to explain with Shepard a weapon at its head.

Andromeda was like the Star Trek mission . "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year ('continuing' for TNG) mission: to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations. To boldly go where no man has gone before! THIS is how I went into the new Andromeda! THIS is how EVERYONE should have gone into Andromeda!
I just got it. Trying to give it a chance. I know, it's set in stone that the original and this is poles apart. But I'm willing to give it a chance with an open mindset? If I may ask, is there any tips going in to make a smooth transition from religiously playing the Trilogy? Or just go full on open mind?
It's a very similar play style in Mass Effect 1. A lot of planet hopping, driving around, multi-step side quests that take you back and forth, etc. That's what I can say without giving anything away. But really give the story & the new aliens a chance. However, my favorite thing is that is your combat powers are NOT class-specific! So you can mix Tech, Biotic and Combat to your heart's content to get that perfect set that suits your style. You have the weapon and armor crafting is also great that is just as modular as non specific powers.

I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I like to play a lot of side quests happily in between missions and pretend I'm actually a good guy helping the universe. Level up and casually get back to missions once my OCD is fed. So I guess it'd be familiar. I do hope that it's very exploration based. It calms me. But I heard of the frustrations of traversing its beautiful locations. Been among myself up for the next installment and the remaster. It's a breathe of fresh air to hear your open minded take to Andromeda, in the past and since launch the negativity around it just ushered me away. And the reviews. Tbh, ME3 wasn't so bad in the end. I went in with the same mindset as you. I knew there wasnt gonna be a "lovecraftian ancient invincible enemy" and they were gonna focus more on exploration and finding settlements. They blatently said this in the trailers. This series has so much potential. The main reasons why people hate this game are very superficial, like the facial animations. Who honestly cares? Gameplay, crafting, and rpg elements were the best in the franchise. Im just sad that i wont know what will happen to that ancient unstable angaran AI. That was pretty interesting

You know what? In the future where Shepard decides to shoot the catalyst and the Reapers win, Andromeda is probably the next place they went since it's the closest galaxy. And they don't have a Citadel or Crucible to be able to take on the Reapers. Granted, the canon ending is for him to destroy the Reapers and live. It's still kinda fun to think about that alternate future.
I recently been playing andromeda again love the game despite what anyone says and I had a thought the rem tech what if it's connected to the reapers I mean they dissapear to dark space (from what we know) after every harvest who's to say they can't make it to andromeda in that time and made or had a part in the remnant technology cause from what we can tell there's no trace of any of the remnant organic bodies it's all machinery unless its more than just machinery and the reapers are super advanced and highly intelligent what if the reapers were in andromeda the whole time changing and adjusting the heleus cluster to their preference to start new life and harvest it as well and the archon or the scourge interfered with the progress when they left to the milky way when you think about it the timing makes sense Sam said over five hundred years ago so maybe the reapers were on they're way to the milky way and the initiative passed by them at a parallel path the possibility is not impossible if the shepard indoctrination theory from mass effect 3 is true and the reapers were successful in the harvest they would be on the way back to the andromeda galaxy cause I mean this last memory may have been a hint and the reapers are ancient so it's possible cause I don't see the creators of the remnant just up and dissapearing cause we never saw any remains of any organic bodies to hint the remnant beings were actually living creatures I started theorizing this as I played andromeda what do you all think

I'm still confused as to how the Reapers could miss the Andromeda and all surrounding galaxies. The way the lore is set up your led to believe that the Leviathans were a very advanced civilisation getting further ahead than any other civilisation because there was no Reaper extinction event to stop them. Knowing that you'd think they would be able to get around to all these galaxies with sentient life and by the time they created the Reapers they should have been able to reach Andromeda and all other galaxies containing sentient life. It seems silly that this huge threat which was the main focal point of a whole trilogy can be bypassed simply by running away to another galaxy.
I think that the Leviathans were not interested in what was outside their territory. It is quite possible that when they tried to invade other Galaxies, they were given a strong rebuff and they lost interest in other Galaxies. And as for the Reapers, the developers themselves said that they are not interested in other Galaxies

@meng dude. The reason they left the milky way factually speaking is that they wrote themselves into a corner and fcked up the story in the original trilogy, especially with the ending. Reapers were supposed to be sentient and sapient flesh machines, ie created from organic beings, and whose aim was to solve the dark matter issue. The ending of mass effect 3 almost leaves no room for a sequel. Also, traveling to another galaxy should be impossible because all tech is dependent on mass relays and without mass relays, all of them would be stuck in tiny corners of the milky way galaxy.

Eh. The Reapers was Shepard's story. I think it was important for this game to establish that it's telling a completely separate story.

In every other game, no one ever actually heard that sound. It was only for us. It's said that it's the sound you hear when indoctrination fails. That's why it keeps happening during key moments in me3, like the "dreams." The fact thry play it here is kinda dumb. They did it just so you would feel nostalgia for the reapers. Sad

This is so stupid they built and arks quicker based off a hunch. It would have made sense they believed Sheppard story based of intel and evidence from higher ups. The council believers Sheppard deep down they just did not want to alarm the galaxy. They knew of the cycle.

Plot Twist :
The Benefactor was Harbinger who lured the species away so they can use Reaper tech to populate Andromeda and give Reapers a reason to attack Andromeda
I think it was someone like a shadow broker (pre Liara), because to know the reapers and organize the Initiative:
-it was necessary to know the Protheans (works of Liara)
-It was necessary to have contact with the Geths who apparently had located them in the Abyss ... we learn in Andromeda that the technique they used at the time (Gravitational telescope via the relays) was taken over by the Initiative to observe Andromeda and discover the Eden worlds before the launching of the arches.
-It was necessary to have the means, to build arches and to bring the material to build the Nexus is not nothing.
-It needed relationships, for secrecy in particular.
In the end The initiative is a Noah's Ark to allow the main species of the Milky Way to survive the harvest.
Kind of randomly collected memory fragments when they were directly in my way, but when it became clear that news from the Milky Way might be available, it was literally the only thing in the entire game I cared about.
Would have been cool to see a scene where the arks could be seen leaving the milky way at the same time the reapers were starting to enter it...and nobody could have done anything, if they tried to send a warning, the reapers would notice them and taken them out in dark space

For all its flaws, I don't necessarily hate this game. Obviously it can't even begin to hold a candle to the trilogy, but there's plenty to enjoy about it.
Its kinda lucky the Hyperion didn't bump into the Reapers when journeying into Dark Space. It would've been nice if they could've shown a date at the beginning of Mass Effect Andromeda as all we know that the opening Earth scene is based between Mass Effect 2 and 3.
Unless the Hyperion and The Arks took off while Shepard was on ice or fighting the Collectors allowing the Arks to use the Alpha Relay out of the Milky Way before Shepard destroyed it.
Its not luck, the Milky Way isn't surrounded by reapers, it's more than 100 000 light years in lenght
The Andromeda initiative left the milky way at the end of 2185 mass effect 2s ending the reapers lie outside in dark space and the reason they reached the Andromeda so quick was because of some sort of geth relay they found in dark space that was pointing towards and surveying the Andromeda it acted as an ftl relay and a telescope

@@lucashonorato_ they traveled that fast due to there being a geth relay called the "Kholas relay". It was 3 mass effect relays, joined together with a strange tech. It acted as a real time deep space telescope. The geth had no interest in any other galaxies, the put it together because they were looking for something out in deep space either were the reapers presided or something more.

If Andromeda had it’s own army of reapers maintaining the cycle, and if they were across the universe, and upon discovering the destruction of the milky way’s Reapers they decide to go and investigate/invade. Nothing ever states that the leviathans stayed in just the Milky Way, so that would be plausible. And it would be a big step towards bringing mass effect back to the quality of the original trilogy. Looking forward to 4 though, so very excited.

My bet was that the kett were the remnants of the races in andromeda that modified themselves into an organic version of the reapers. Or at least something close to that, maybe the last remnants of the protheans. There was a lot of directions they could go with andromeda but anthem killed that hope.

When you arrive on the blue alien ppl planet (the new guys) , you can read messages that they plan to write to the human race in the milkyway (it’s a side quest). And one in particular say’s "I don’t believe you are adventurers. I believe you left bc of something terrible and it may follow you here" which clearly eludes to Reapers. Especially if you discovered the real purposes of the Ark by unlocking all of the AI guy’s memories

They were almost all killed due to a virus outbreak turning everyone into zombies similar to husks (why would someone endanger their own habitacle ? …Unless they were indoctrinated)
My theory is that while they were leaving a Reaper followed them (they were still to be catalogued and preserved in Reaper form) , it then sent a swarm to assimilate/indoctrinate ppl on board and then turn them into a Reaper army to take the humans/Quarians/Krogans/Salarians/etc. trying to flee the milky way.
Which then could’ve made for a pretty good dlc where the "Last Reaper" attack our colonies (specifically alliances) meanwhile leaving the Angaran (I just remembered their name) ppl alone. As seen in the series before a lone Reaper CAN be killed, it just is very tough. So anyways, I think they definitely had plans for a last dance with a Reaper but when the game failed miserably they just scratched the whole idea.

I remember how people quickly created theory that this "mysterious benefactor" was no one ELSE than Cerberus founder Jack Harper vel The Illusive Man (and Cora is his daughter) which sponsored whole initiative before he started to tinker with Reapers tech and become completely indoctrinated by it.
However, one of the big question marks in Andromeda lore is why someone like Harper, who supported openly racist and xenophobic movements on Earth would even consider an alien involvement (NOT to mention commonly despised by Citadel civilizations Quarians and Krogans which at the point of Nexus launch were on the verge of extinction) in "rescue operation" of this magnitude considering his background is beyond me and this is just one of the many "issues" which practically dissconec Andromeda from the core OT lore... and move it into "alternative aka what if... timeline" section of the franchise.
I agree the theory that it's the Illusive Man is really a stretch.
Whoever is the benefactor they would have to have a monumental amount of resources, galaxy wide influence to get approval, and know of the reapers plus have a strong traffic of information to know an approximate timeline of when they come back.
The Illusive man has the resources and the knowledge but like you said I can't see him wanting other races unless he had to accept making this a galaxy wide initiative to get galaxy wide approval for the project as it wouldn't be seen as a Human expansion and wouldn't get interference from the citadel also it then makes sense why he hand picked Garson (human) and Ryder (human) as the two major influencers and leaders of the initiative
Another candidate is the shadow broker- he has the capital, the influence and knew of the reapers but the problem is then why was he looking for other ways to save himself in ME2 and the benefactor is clearly alive past ME2.
I really can't think of anyone else that we know of which really bothers me and as bad as the game was I wish they put in the work to fix it and give us a better story with the benefactor, the quarian ark, the reapers coming to Andromeda and everything else.

Your mistake is thinking racism and xenophobia are simple to understand concepts. Cerberus was all about human advancement to the top of the food chain, not hating the other species. It's about carving out a place for humans in a galaxy in which humanity's first contact with other life was war.

Shadow Broker makes a bit more sense, especially since we learn that he was investigating the Reapers before Liara took over.
Although, TIM makes a bit of sense, even while saving the other races. If he was trying to keep Andromeda on the down-low, it makes sense to operate against his MO, and not just save humanity.
I wish the files from mass effect moved over to this one I chose the Leviathan path and created a new form of DNA for merging synthetics and organics into one

@@jackylee5850 I believe from reading the novels that the Initiative started as all the species going together, by the time Illusive Man figured out Shepard was right there weren't any other options and the other species were already involved.

I don't understand why this game got so much hate. I knew it wasn't going to be the original trilogy. New galaxy, new aliens, & new story so I went in w/ an open mind & really enjoyed it! Andromeda was like the Star Trek mission .

I just got it. Trying to give it a chance. I know, it's set in stone that the original and this is poles apart. But I'm willing to give it a chance with an open mindset?
If I may ask, is there any tips going in to make a smooth transition from religiously playing the Trilogy? Or just go full on open mind?
It's a very similar play style in Mass Effect 1. A lot of planet hopping, driving around, multi-step side quests that take you back and forth, etc. That's what I can say without giving anything away. But really give the story & the new aliens a chance.
However, my favorite thing is that is your combat powers are NOT class-specific! So you can mix Tech, Biotic and Combat to your heart's content to get that perfect set that suits your style. You have the weapon and armor crafting is also great that is just as modular as non specific powers.

I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I like to play a lot of side quests happily in between missions and pretend I'm actually a good guy helping the universe. Level up and casually get back to missions once my OCD is fed. So I guess it'd be familiar.
I do hope that it's very exploration based. It calms me. But I heard of the frustrations of traversing its beautiful locations. Been among myself up for the next installment and the remaster. It's a breathe of fresh air to hear your open minded take to Andromeda, in the past and since launch the negativity around it just ushered me away. And the reviews. Tbh, ME3 wasn't so bad in the end. It was marvelous. I think the reaction was louder than the offense. I found it interesting. And never seen anything of its nature since. Jeremy and fellow ME dude, it's a pleasure meeting you. I went in with the same mindset as you. I knew there wasnt gonna be a "lovecraftian ancient invincible enemy" and they were gonna focus more on exploration and finding settlements. They blatently said this in the trailers. This series has so much potential. The main reasons why people hate this game are very superficial, like the facial animations. Who honestly cares? Gameplay, crafting, and rpg elements were the best in the franchise. Im just sad that i wont know what will happen to that ancient unstable angaran AI. That was pretty interesting
If only Andromeda could've held up to the trilogy.

You know what? In the future where Shepard decides to shoot the catalyst and the Reapers win, Andromeda is probably the next place they went since it's the closest galaxy. And they don't have a Citadel or Crucible to be able to take on the Reapers.
Granted, the canon ending is for him to destroy the Reapers and live. It's still kinda fun to think about that alternate future.

I recently been playing andromeda again love the game despite what anyone says and I had a thought the rem tech what if it's connected to the reapers I mean they dissapear to dark space (from what we know) after every harvest who's to say they can't make it to andromeda in that time and made or had a part in the remnant technology cause from what we can tell there's no trace of any of the remnant organic bodies it's all machinery unless its more than just machinery and the reapers are super advanced and highly intelligent what if the reapers were in andromeda the whole time changing and adjusting the heleus cluster to their preference to start new life and harvest it as well and the archon or the scourge interfered with the progress when they left to the milky way when you think about it the timing makes sense Sam said over five hundred years ago so maybe the reapers were on they're way to the milky way and the initiative passed by them at a parallel path the possibility is not impossible if the shepard indoctrination theory from mass effect 3 is true and the reapers were successful in the harvest they would be on the way back to the andromeda galaxy cause I mean this last memory may have been a hint and the reapers are ancient so it's possible cause I don't see the creators of the remnant just up and dissapearing cause we never saw any remains of any organic bodies to hint the remnant beings were actually living creatures I started theorizing this as I played andromeda what do you all think

I'm still confused as to how the Reapers could miss the Andromeda and all surrounding galaxies. The way the lore is set up your led to believe that the Leviathans were a very advanced civilisation getting further ahead than any other civilisation because there was no Reaper extinction event to stop them. Knowing that you'd think they would be able to get around to all these galaxies with sentient life and by the time they created the Reapers they should have been able to reach Andromeda and all other galaxies containing sentient life. It seems silly that this huge threat which was the main focal point of a whole trilogy can be bypassed simply by running away to another galaxy.
I think that the Leviathans were not interested in what was outside their territory.
It is quite possible that when they tried to invade other Galaxies, they were given a strong rebuff and they lost interest in other Galaxies.
And as for the Reapers, the developers themselves said that they are not interested in other Galaxies

@meng dude. The reason they left the milky way factually speaking is that they wrote themselves into a corner and fcked up the story in the original trilogy, especially with the ending.
Reapers were supposed to be sentient and sapient flesh machines, ie created from organic beings, and whose aim was to solve the dark matter issue.
The ending of mass effect 3 almost leaves no room for a sequel. Also, traveling to another galaxy should be impossible because all tech is dependent on mass relays and without mass relays, all of them would be stuck in tiny corners of the milky way galaxy.
