Compassion is a great charity to support! My first two sponsor children were girls from Rwanda, but they have now graduated (at 21) from their local programs. I now sponsor a lovely little boy from Bolivia. One of the positive things about Compassion is the low percentage of monies received that get used for administrative purposes. Anyway, I’m a relatively new viewer from Australia 🇦🇺 and it was pleasing to see the work of Compassion being highlighted. 👍🏻

My mom would finish a book and put it in a box in her trunk. After a few months she would go through the box and decide if she wants to read it again or donate/sell. Super easy way to manage a book collection and have it not take up personal space. She usually gave them to friends or sold them at a thrift book store for credit to buy more used books.

From your show I'm living up so great memories in London and all over England. I was nearly every months one weekend in Brighton and traveled to Scotland and all over England. Joel I get you ! Anxiety and panic disorder sucks... I've been in therapy myself, but I tried hypnotherapy, and its helped. I used to have panic attacks daily I'm now down to 1 or 2 a month and sometimes none at all. I believe it's about finding what's the correct road for you to go down. Also, I go to meditation at a bhuddist centre, and I'm learning how to cope better. But the most important thing is TALKIING about things and dont keep things bottled up..

Hi, Joel. THE book that helped change my thinking and gave me peace of mind was “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. I purchase the book, audio boo, and dvd. The behind the scenes on the dvd, especially Science & The Secret was astounding. I read “How to Stop Worrying and Start Living”. However, it did not have the effect on me like “The Secret” has had. Good vibes on your spiritual journey. Bless you & Keegan and y’all’s fidelity to one another.

Joel, so nice to know that you've sponsored a child for a long time now. My husband and I started sponsoring when our first child was born (1986) and then again when we had our son. Of course, it's been different children as they age out but I think it's a good thing.
And I'm not at all surprised to hear about it from you because you are such a good soul.

Bear in mind that Dale Carnegie died in 1955 and circumstances and people were VERY different at that time. The basic premises are still valid; however, you must allow for the societal changes that have ensued and adjust the premises accordingly. I read some of his books when I was very young [in the '50s and '60s] and even then, they were decidedly dated. Just a warning so you don't freak out and think you are "out of step" somehow after you read some of his theories. Best of luck in your new home!
