You're on the cusp of becoming my favourite UA-cam car reviewer, methinks. This looks a hoot. We are now starting to see the fruits of the spoils when you lure the Head of BMW's M Division to set up Hyundai's N equivalent.
I have a 2023 Kona N-Line Ultimate and it isn't as race forward as this model and has less horsepower but it's so much fun and super zippy. In sports mode, it really goes and it's light so the power and zippiness really shines through. Love it
A vehicle I totally don't need, and would likely draw a lot of unwanted attention to myself, yet I want one so bad. You made the Kona N look like a total blast with yet a side of practicality any enthusiast who doesn't need such a vehicle would still want. Bravo!
Something nice Love that it asks you if you want to put it in N mode as there are corners coming up, that's brilliant Hyundai/kia have come a very long way in the past 15 or so years, give it another decade and I'll reckon they will be one of the top manufacturers kind of like how Toyota is

Lucky Brits can get this vehicle with cooled seats, heated steering wheel and adaptive cruise control... comfort/convenience features that U.S. buyers are denied for some reason. I would order those options if reasonably priced. :(

Nope we get a stripped down model :( with only heated seats no heated wheel lots of buttons missing on the console didn't even see the read out on the top of the dash sad they did that.
Would be cool if the car had 4wd and about 8 inches of ride height. Basically a little bit more explicitly gravel-road friendly. Even in fwd, I wish the N series would eventually have something with a truck bed just for laughs.

After seriously considering a Panda 4x4 I decided to probably go for a mini clubman Cooper S. I got a budget of around £4.5k which is a stretch for a Cooper S. What are your thoughts?"
For that money it'd be the weird 3-door one with the door on the wrong side for the pavement in the UK. On the other hand I bloody love a Panda 4x4… so I'd go panda.
Still struggling to see the point of this - it's closer in size to the i20N (boot is only 10l bigger and I think the i20 looks like it actually has MORE room in the back seats), and it's the same price as the much more practical i30N... It should have been priced at £30k, had an uprated i20N drivetrain (230-240hp) and filled the middle ground between the 2 hatchbacks and been a proper competitor to the Puma ST.
In the US market this makes a lot of sense as we don't get the i20N and the Veloster N is pretty compromised for daily driving if you've got kids or dogs, etc...
Love this car and this review… just a comment about pronunciation (I know Brit’s think those of us English speakers outside of the island don’t know the mother tongue well) but it is poo-ma not pee-ewu-ma

Joining the Kona name gags... In portuguese it reads the same as a "not that politically correct" name for a lady's vagina. That is why in Portugal it's called the Kawai -.-' Similar story to the Pajero in Spain i think xD
This is a $35k BP car which equates to roughly $50k USD. Pfft...Maybe $40k at most...It's going to sit in lots for that pricing. I'll get a Genesis for that price.

Great review, I was worried about the suspesion being too stiff on our roads, but sounds like it normal mode it will be fine.
It’s pretty stiff even on normal mode, but not too hard

Seen 3 for sell in Arizona all stripped down models. Not sure if the US will ever get a fully loaded model.

I’m surprised you said the exhaust sound was nothing special and that the infotainment was laggy as all the other reviewers have said the opposite.

Nope we get a stripped down model :( with only heated seats no heated wheel lots of buttons missing on the console didn't even see the read out on the top of the dash sad they did that.
Even the standard Kona is a delight to throw into corners. Standard 235 section tyres stay flat on the road.
