Heck yea brother!! Man I don’t fish tubes often, only when I would fish Havasu, that’s how I’d rig it as well. Now that I’m in the Midwest, I’m sure I’ll be throwing it more so I don’t suck less. Well done on the video man. Finish your week strong.
The Stupid Tube is a great rig. I tried some Owner Weighted Tube hooks this year for one day at the end of the season and didn't catch anything on them, but the spiral flutter action was beautiful, and I knew I could bump that sucker along bottom, in between and over rocks, and be almost completely snagless. It was a sweet little rig, but people say the weights break pretty easily, so I'm going to try some new jigs with your technique next year. Looking to smash some smallies in the spring. Thanks for the tip Rich!
I’ll have to try out the stupid tube. It would probably work good in shallower grassier water. I’d also probably go with a lighter head then I’d normally use out deep for smallmouth
I throw lots of ned, senko and jerks but have recently been looking for more weedless. This rig really looks good. Do you normally like 4/0 with 3.5” tube?
Scott - they look pretty sweet, might have to buy a pack or two to try out, looks like they would work well. Although the reviews on TW suggest they are not very durable
Agreed. At times I think that can help it from getting hung in rocks as well. They probably both have applications based on cover. I would think I the phantom would be better around vegetation
The stupidest thing is that "Pros don't want you to know" BS. You did prove it though by filming a dark lure against a dark background so viewers can't see how you rig it. So it's still a secret.

Interesting idea for skipping docks. Going to give it a try, thanks Rich.

Spring can't come soon enough!
Advertising works. Saw the UA-cam tag on your truck in AV and am now subbed.
Right, good to know there are some BassHeads neighbors just to the north!

@@HellaBass just enjoy watching some fishing videos. UA-cam suggested this on my home page. Of course I had to check it out.
Right on!
@@HellaBass 😎😎
Have you tried the Owner Phantom weighted hooks for this technique? What's your thoughts on those hooks?
I have not, will take a look

@@HellaBass The other difference with your rig is it blows out the head a bit and makes it look more gobyish.

Good video something I’ve never done is fished a tube

Thnx for the background feedback, always trying to improve the filming craft
