Great little bike, thanks for the detailed owners review! Unfortunately we don’t get this model here in Hong Kong, I nearly got a CB190R but ended up with something else. Honda also make a CB190SS which is like a cafe racer/neo retro styled one, we dont get that either.. Too bad about the ground clearance, like you say lots of modern bikes have this issue because of the underslung catalytic converter, before emissions regulations small bikes could just have a straight pipe from the engine to the muffler can.
They recently released a new 200cc model. Looks a little taller. Maybe you can get that in hong kong. The SS model is also available here in singapore but it did not spark much interest.
This air cooled honda engine along with the cb190r, cbf190x, cb190ss, cbf190tr all need to change EO very frequent. Above 1000km EO already kopi-o. RPM also cannot whack, not recommended to redline at all(think of it, it works harder, gets hot faster, only cooling system is the external fins and air while you move;SG hot weather air.). If there is one thing this bike lacks is that it should be liquid cooled. New buyers of bike just ask yourself these two things 1 - liquid cooled engines have to check and maintain for your cooling system and your engine. Cons, costlier maintenance. Air cooled, just check and maintain your engine. Cons, more frequent trips to the workshop for eo change. 2 - ABS brakes are not necessary for 2B bikes in my honest opinion. 2B bikes doesn't have the power in the first place for it to need an abs to help you stop. Pros of this bike, - Good fuel consumption, 40kmpl is highly achievable. -Cost of servicing is minimal -No aftermarket nonsense, no need to upgrade this and that, this is not a performance vehicle, you are not riding on a race track. - Good for pillion cause of its huge rear seat. Cons, -chain and sprocket issue due to its thick rear tires, Frequent need to tighten the chain slack. -Air cooled engine, TLC on the way you ride. -its a fairing type of bike, looks big but all fairing. - side stand a bit too low, have to get a big foot attachment for side stand Personally, I would have chosen some other bike with a liquid cool engine but I'm a tall guy and most 2B are very small, this is like the most appropriate 2B around. To the guy who made the video, please ride safe and so to everyone out there.
Thanks bro.. i agree to u.. for the side stand, i change to the one for yamaha rxz. Its much more upright.. the bike is more suitable for the uncle2 type of riders. The more chilled type.
Own this bike for 3 years already.... Recently just change my fuel pump and throttle body because the bike seems like lost of power and stuck when throttle.. after i change both, solve the problem... 💸💸💸
$240 for the fuel pump... And $250 for the throttle body... The throttle body come in full set with the electronic sensor... You can get cheaper online maybe.. but need to wait bro...
Wow.. thats more pricey than i thought. Thanks for the details.. maybe when my bike have that problem, i can try change the parts myself and we can see the difference in the price.
I just got a second hand 3 and a half year Fighthawk. I have watched most of your videos and it has been very informative. Thank you and keep up with the videos. I have 1 issue with this bike and hope you can advice me. When engine is cold the bike will start up but will not maintain the idle. I have to keep on revving or wait for the engine to warm up. Full pump recently changed. Injection and throttle body serviced. Any advice much appreciated
If u done all that and it still fluctuates or sometimes die off, its possible that your fuel is contaminated. Meaning theres water or the fuel tank have some particles choking the fuel lines.. because if u leave the bike overnight and theres water in the tank, by morning it will settle at the bottom. So the first few minutes of your engine running, it might be struggling due to water mixed in with the fuel. Thats my point of view. I cant guarantee thats the prob... to confirm my theory, ride the bike until u reach reserve tank.. empty your tank as much as u can before topping up. If it improves after about 3 cycles, means my theory is correct.
bro, for your suspension, go to Belwin motors and get their bracket suspension installed. it cost $50 and will harden and give leverage and height to your suspension, trust me, no need to change suspension once u installed that

Hi Bro. Saw your solo trip to Thailand. Very nice. Regarding to your CBF190X there are some advise needed from you. 1) You mentioned the seat is comfort. Will it be good for long distance ride? 2) At what speed is good, stable and comfort to ride? Is it good at 110kph? 3) You mentioned you understand your bike. At what rpm is best and will not over stress the bike? 4) Is the LED light bright enough for night ride in Thailand? Can't really see from video. 5) Why like to ride in the night? Cooler weather? 6) Is your bike stable in the rain? Has been sometime looking for 2B bike like african twin look alike to have upright position riding. Appreciate your opinion.
Hi. Im glad u enjoy watching my videos. 1. Yes its good for long distance riding. But of cos after a few hundred kilometers, your bum will still hurt. The limit is up to your pain tolerance. 2. At 110km/h my bike is at about 8500rpm and its not so stressful for the engine. More than that, your engine will start to burn your engine oil. To me 100-110km/h is the best cruising speed when touring with this bike. 3. The engine will run hot right before 9000rpm especially if its not windy. 4.My headlight is more than enough to light up a pitch black road.. BUT due to my heavy weight and the soft rear suspension, its pointing a bit high and the first 10metres ahead of me will seem dark. Thats why i add on a flood light to point low to shine the area thats right infront of my bike. 5. I prefer night ride cos it cold and the traffic isnt as crazy as day time. If weather and traffic is like that in day time, i dont mind riding during the day. 6. Stable in the rain, yes. The problem comes when u hit a deep puddle at speed above 60 or when u r leaning over and your tyre hits the road markings. But i think its the same for all bikes. But if u just bought the bike first hand, try your best not to ride in the rain cos the tyres from the factory is hard compound (duro tyres) and it performs really badly in the rain. I hope that clears all your question.. if theres anything i missed, feel free to ask me about it.. i'll answer to my best knowledge.

Would also like to ask you if ur engine gets hot very easily. And where did u get your crashbar from? Thanks so much.
The engine noise issue i only have it when i full throttle at low rpm. Its normal cos the engine is overcoming the load. Hard to explain but in simple terms, nothing to worry about. The crashbar was included in the free gifts when i bought the bike. U can find it for a low price at taobao. Nothing to worry about also cos the original parts are made in china😅.
