What causes the poer steering to stop working. My 2007 toyota yaris 1lt just had alternator replaced & suddenly i can hardly turn my sterring. Its gone completely stiff like i have 4 flat tyres. Whats happened. Please help
Hi there, does your model have hydraulic power steering or electric? to find out check in the engine compartment to see if there is a power steering fluid reservoir, if there is this sounds like a fluid issue which could be from a leak or the pump itself being faulty. is there isn't one it could be the electric motor or a wiring issue. sorry I cannot be of more help its hard when I cannot see the car. Ross
Where's the power steering Reservoir located? I didn't know you have extra space when adding brake fluid! Thank you!
Hi there, if your model is the same as this one, it has electronic power steering that doesn't have fluid. Thanks for watching and your comment. Ross
Hi Ross, I have a 2006 model. Same body style as yours but engine is slightly different, its been sitting up for a few years but when i drive it now the steering pulls hard to the left and right on its own. Any ideas on what it vould be?
Thsnks Adam
I can't see a power steering reservoir so I'd say it's electric
Hi Adam, sounds silly but have you checked the tyre pressures and made sure they are both at the same pressure, they did make the earlier models with a hydraulic power steering but the one in my video was electric. if it is the Hydraulic system have you checked the fluid level and filter? if electric it could be the motor sticking.
Were do you put power steering fluid
Hi Lily, It depends on your model/year but this one had electronic power steering. If yours does have hydraulic power steering the reservoir would be easily seen and not hidden. Ross
2:00 what is the circular window on the bottom left? it has a turning knob on top of it too.
Hi there, that is part of the air conditioning system.

I have yaris 2010, is power steering fluid reservoir same Brakes fluid reservoir ???????
electronic power steering.
@@RossPerryProductions thank you sir
@@RossPerryProductions accidentally I put power steering fluid into the brake fluid reservoir a year ago and it worked very well.
Now the reservoir is low , will I just add the right brake fluid to the reservoir or I have to empty the reservoir first ??
ON my Yaris I can hardly see the level of coolant (so much cramped inside) it is a low power model., the reservoir has the same shape as the one shown here. what can I do ?
if you shine a torch into the top of the reservoir in low light it should light up the level other option could be to make a dip stick just to test it, and top it up as required.
Thank you but can you show us where the powersteering fluid reservoir located at?
HI there, the car has electronic power steering, no fluid required.
@RossPerryProductions Hi u have yaris sedan 2011, it steering when I'm turning is stiff doesn't want to turn easily what can help me please
Hi u have yaris sedan 2011, it steering when I'm turning is stiff doesn't want to turn easily what can help me please
does your model have electric power steering or fluid?
is there power steering fluid reservoir somewhere?
Not on the models with electronic power steering like this one.
I'm new to cars. Does this model not have steering fluid tank?
Hi there, this one in particular had electronic power steering, I believe there are some with a hydraulic system too, If your model has a hydraulic system the reservoir will be on show not hidden.
thank you
No worries at all, thanks for watching and your comment. Ross
What about the power steering fluid? Or does it have it at all?
If it is the same as this model then it has electronic power steering. no fluid. Ross

Oh yes it is. Of all car I owned in the past this is my first Japanese car. I am pleasantly surprised how simple it is. Im sure working on it should be a breeze (unlike German cars).
Does Toyota Yaris have steering fluid reservoir?
Not if it has electronic power steering like this one. Ross
Can you tell where we add steering oil please??
If your model is the same as this one, it has electronic power steering, no fluid. Ross
I have Toyota yaris 2009
Yes, I believe that has electronic power steering. the Power Steering reservoirs are pretty obvious so you would see if you had one.
thanks
How about power steering fluid?
If yours is the same model as this one, it has electronic power steering. Ross
Power strewing?
Power Steering is electronic on these.
Your car is broken!
The steering wheel is on the wrong side.....
technically it is on the 'right' side of the car..
where is the power steering fluid go?
Electronic power steering on these Rick.
thanks for the reply
Where is the power steering deposit?
If your model is the same as this one it has electronic power steering.
@RossPerryProductions so if the steering wheel light comes on how do we fill the fluid
If the light comes on then it is more than likely an issue with the electric motor, or the EPS module. Here is a good video for how it works : ua-cam.com/video/KuY_DTgGHW8/v-deo.html @@ce-rf3lg

Where is the Warp Core?
it's pretty close to the flux capacitor, find that and your warp core will be to the right.
@@RossPerryProductions I'l on my way to the engineering deck!
