Mine went out one day on the road while I had my 98 1500 with a tbi 350 and I swear I checked every plug and wire and fluid to make sure nothing broke. Drove another 30 miles and it came back on till I demolished the frame. That light is my safety 😂

Has a fairly new jasper 350 and rebuilt 700r transmission. Didnt realize at first yours is the 5 speed manual. Still a very good video and explanatory video on what to do and what not to do. I'm sure you missed one or 2 things in the videos but that's not to hard to figure out. Very sweet truck as well as your pops Camaro. I'll definitely keep up with the videos buddy.

I have a 94 silverado 4x4 and I'm putting a 97 Vortec bored over 30 and stroked to a 383. Im putting a Holley Sniper on it as well . I'm have trouble finding a sniper pump or one that's works just as good. To mount to the factory tank without any alterations to the tank. Do you know of a good pump? What did you use?
I have a video out on this one In the muscle truck playlist. There are two pumps out there. One is an accel pump from Holley a quick search will pull it up. The other is a walbro 255. I would recommend the walbro. I can’t remember part numbers for that one but the accel will provide a cross ref.
I have a 90 454 with a cam that gives me low vacuum. I installed a hydro boost for the brakes. I’ve been holding back on this Holley sniper. I thought it would not work for me because of my cam. But I think this kit will be just perfect
I have a 243/249 @.050 cam in my 383 stroker, I’m running the sniper x flow and it works great, there are lots of small things you can do to tune in the idle

I have a 2000 k3500 quad cab longed with a 454 and I'm debating on the sniper. 14 bolt full float rear and 4l80e should be able to handle the power. Lol. You think one of these could be put on with a stock fuel system?
You’ll need 60psi for this system I highly doubt you’ll be able to do that. I would advise using the accel pump from Holley. Drops right in the sender no mods.
Try backing off that throttle adjustment screw... get the IAC to 2-10% then key off and back on ! That’s what I had to do. The screw is EXTREMELY sensitive. That should get it man
RP Motorsport go into the software and check your IAC ramp down values, IAC Hold position should be set around 30%, also check your “RPM above idle to start ramp”
What are you doing for fuel tank / fuel pump etc? I'm running a fitech efi setup on my truck with an inline pump, but I was curious as to what you did with yours. More specifically are you using the stock tank, and what are you doing for a pickup etc

It’s holleys 650hp kit. You will need the accel fuel pump and the hyper spark ignition system to duplicate this kit I have. It will use the stock pump / sending unit. It’s about as good as it gets.

I can't get heat in my 92 k1500 cause it runs so cool and can't figure out what I can do to get it up to 180!!!! I've asked dozens of people and a few of them are mechanics and they look at me like I'm speaking French! And tell me I should be grateful it's not overheating....

Have you drove it enough to get a gas mileage? I have a 350 tbi and gets 14.5 mpg. I plan on building a Vortec 350 with sniper kit. I was wondering if it would be the same or worst or maybe better?
Might be an old video but I just installed the sniper kit with the cdi box and everything and having trouble with the timing. Noticed you set yours backwards lol. Not saying it’s wrong but did it cause any issues and were the plug wires routed differently than it normally would be? Thanks for any info that could help me
Sounds like you need to make sure the engine is on TDC and the rotor is pointing at number one. Technically you can mount the cap in any direction but I’ve since then put it facing foward. I would also verify in the snipers wizard that you are telling it you are using a CDI box for ignition. I am running the hyperspark so Holley is controlling the timing.

I’m around 400 crank HP and torque. I would say I’m pushing it so with your setup I’d be careful! Give American powertrain a visit online. Great turnkey trans swap packages

My stock 350 runs that cool with the new radiator I put a 195 thermostat to see if it would help and it did but still runs under 180 lol and I can see it reach it and go back down 😅

I honestly didn’t even think about that 🙄 how did the bracket and throttle cable work for you I had issues with another bracket and couldn’t get the right tensions for both the throttle and trans cable I couldn’t get it to run right
I would consider costs first.. an LS would probably end up costing you a lot more. Goals for the truck would also come into play. If this is a street truck I would stay with a 5.7 and go Holley EFI. A 5.7 is basically a SBC with the newer heads.
Travis Campbell this is a 98 3 door that will be a daily driver, and I’m wanting to bore it 20 over and put a mild cam in it to start with and basically freshen up the engine.
Summit racing can guide you though cam selection and the kit with lifters / springs/ pushrods. I actaully did the same thing to my 4.3 before I pulled it and went 327. Nothing wrong with building the original engine. The computer will not like a huge cam, so if you want to go that route I’d consider running a stand alone sniper kit like I used. ALOT more power and retains the benefits of EFI.

I’m having a problem on my 1406 carb where it will go through first and second gear kinda sluggish but whenever I want to go full throttle the engine does not accelerate at all and idk if it’s something with the transmission or something with the fuel or spark timing I have a 700r4 and I’ve tried adjusting the tv cable but with no difference
It actaully makes more power than a crate LS3. I’m less than 5k into it and it’s all new with a warranty. The LS3 is 425hp for around 7k. This engine makes 490TQ and 460HP. Dollar for dollar blueprint is the way to go if it’s a rolling chassis.

Honestly it should work just fine. If you are worried about it give Holley a call. They may recommend something better for your application

@@DAGOLFER34 I checked out an airtex e3947m fuel pump assembly, minimum psi is 75 and max is 105.
I’m having the problem of the iac shooting up to 100% and not coming back down. Idle is set correctly. I’m calling Holley tomorrow about it.

I had similar temperature issues. Found out it was a halfway open MR. Gasket POS thermostat.

Most of them I tucked inside the inner fender and made a cover to hide them lol

I don’t think I’ve actaully done a how to video on the sniper. However Holley has some great stuff if you want a step by step.

Basically yes it will bypass all the sensors... I’m just using a hot wire that has power with the Key on to run the Holley ECU

Did you have to switch your ignition module and your distributor or you can use the stock OEM distributor and ignition module...
A one wire distributor takes the place of everything with an external coil. I would lose the factory stuff

No I’m using a Edelbrock air gap dual plane.

These are all stock just upgrades to an ACCEL pump

love the sbc kinda of tired seeing ls motors at This point the power is cool but who the fuck can afford an ls powertrain ,sbc all the way!
It actaully makes more power than a crate LS3. I’m less than 5k into it and it’s all new with a warranty. The LS3 is 425hp for around 7k. This engine makes 490TQ and 460HP. Dollar for dollar blueprint is the way to go if it’s a rolling chassis.

@@DAGOLFER34 My son in law is a civil engineer and has a degree in drafting. He doesn't use either anymore and is sales for the nations largest crane rental company. But, he does make lots of money with sales. Go figure.
