For those making complaints about the chute time out the door, that truck has to build air pressure for those air brakes to work. It’s hard to base it off one video how long it takes to fill the air tanks up that supply the brake system for that apparatus. It typically can be 45-90 seconds from the time the engine starts for pressure to build to correct level. Safety is always first priority.
We have a law that when an urgency class 1 alarm comes, the fleet must be on the way 1 minute after the alarm arrives, regardless of the time of day. There is no time to wonder and wait in such peace.
What do you mean a law? Like if you aren’t pulling out if the station in 1 minute after the tones go off you get arrested? Or law as in that’s the unwritten rule of your department?
nah NYC is still a pretty cool place to go. A few other big cities, like Philadelphia, LA and SF have become not worth visiting, but NYC is pretty much back from COVID and is a pretty good time.
I mean I know this is a modern, well-equipped fire truck, but the aesthetic of 'murican fire engines is just so strange. It looks like some sort of antique truck they polished up for a big parade or carnival or something.
very mid response time, we're out the door in 90 seconds from when the first appliance is assigned, and a few stations even have their own inhouse policies of 70 seconds.
Ok 2 thing 1 there is no way that is a Legit station and 2 Every second counts and will that time they got out of the door is not good a Volunteer fd is out of the door Faster than that. And FDNY is a Paid department

Not gonna lie, Half of me was anticipating the Ecto-1 Siren
Same!
1:34 it almost sounded it would… but we were denied 😅
God bless the FDNY and all emergency personnel!
Guy at the end running...........like they were in a hurry for something.😂😅😂😅😂😅
Such a cool firehouse with so much history. The outside looks beautiful.
Engine has a nice rumble to it
the amount of time it takes theses guys to get out the door is ridiculous.
1.5 minutes is pretty typical of most departments
It took around 90 Seconds, so where's your problem ?!?
They left the Ghostbusters sign on the building... They should incorporate Ecto-1s unique siren on the trucks too!
God bless the FDNY❤🇺🇲
but good Lord over a minute & half to get a rig out??? wtf
Fire engines aren't a puny as they were a century ago.

I still would love to acquire this LEGO model, but it became waaaaaaaay too expensive 😢
3d print it.
Where from and how much please?
“Who yer gonna call?”
“Ladder 8?”
Anybody faster than them.
Someone else.....
The British fire brigade would already be putting the fire out before these guys have even left. 😊

That's so awesome!
Cool Video
I know NYC has become a complete disaster and it's not even worth visiting anymore, but it's pretty cool they still use that building.

Was expecting the ghostbusters theme to play instead of the siren
1:23 to respond???????
It’s a shame they don’t use the ghost busters siren 🤣 that’d be fitting 🤣
They get a new sign? I know they kept the one from the second movie, but took it down because it was a prop and not built for continuous weather.
WHO YOU GONNA' CALL? GHOSTBUSTERS!
Genau mein Gedanke!😊😅😊
Talk about slow! The fire brigade here in the UK would’ve been half way to the incident by the time these blokes have got their boots on!
Take your time, no need to hurry.
nice catch!!!
Why call them "Emergency Responders", no sense of urgency.
I grew a beard waiting for them to get out of the house. Sheesh.
love how they move sooooooooooooooo slow
I mean I know this is a modern, well-equipped fire truck, but the aesthetic of 'murican fire engines is just so strange. It looks like some sort of antique truck they polished up for a big parade or carnival or something.
the cops at the end holding rifles?
No need to rush, nobody's in a hurry.

Guys sure take theire time to get going
Everyone here is commenting how long it took them to leave, even though I’m pretty sure 90 seconds is normal for most fire stations.
Everybody is wrong. This was in the original film, Flash Gordon.
who you gonna call?
The firefighters act like they got all day to get there
A firefighter may have been caught on the shi**er when the alarm came in. Been there, done that. Sometimes, it aint pretty.
Who ya going to call..?
Ghostbusters
They were in their way in less than 1 and a half minutes.
1 minute and 28 seconds to get out of the door! Seriously?????????
By the time they leave the house will have burned to the ground.
Probably could have run faster to the scene
Охотники за привидениями
The smallest fire station I have seen
WTF? Either its an emergency and you need your lights and sounds or its not an emergency and you can waste half an hour before even starting...
Apparently this should have been a non-code response. Because there’s zero hurry on their part. Hate those electronic QE2 sirens.
I've seen this fire station. It was in the Squid games, right?
In the 90's an episode of Seinfeld was filmed at this station.
Kramer's got the caboose!
Come on guys nys burning
In sorry but that took a long time before it even moved to slow
Sure hope no one was trapped. Took them forever to get out. Typical FDNY.
Some truck have to build up air for the brakes
Out in a minute and a half is pretty typical across all departments
If it’s burning when they get called it’s gonna be burning when they get there
Clearly don’t know what you’re talking about
@@miltontrautman6413 most fire apparatus have an auto disconnect shore line for air and electric. even my '81 has air and electric for battery
Looks like they’ve going to lunch
Stop complaining about how slow they are you could do any better good job FDNY
yes
Not a hook and ladder.
SOOOOO slow! In my day 40-50 seconds and out the door. The horses used to get out quicker than those guys. I hope they weren't going to a fire!!!!
If they were going to a fire they’d be flying out
Ok 2 thing 1 there is no way that is a Legit station and 2 Every second counts and will that time they got out of the door is not good a Volunteer fd is out of the door Faster than that. And FDNY is a Paid department
It‘s just that - a legit station. Hook & Ladder 8.
Not much sense of urgency.
100 plus year old fire stations. how stupid
Why?
No u.
I don't see the issue with having old fire stations. If it isn't broken, don't fix it.
you must be from Europe...
Typical co@k thing to say from a keyboard warrior
Who you gonna call?
