It's because there was more to follow, Ray: But people are afraid to report these things. Peter: Yes but no one's ever advertised about it before. And it makes sense because people who believe they've seen ghosts are afraid to tell anyone especially the authorities because they think no one will believe them and call them crazy or think they're delusional. Peter is basically telling them all they have to do is say something like, "If you've seen a ghost, don't be afraid to call us about it because WE BELIEVE YOU." If they do that, they should get a lot of customers. And it's true like when they arrive at the hotel to bust Slimer, the manager says the 12th floor has a history of bizarre disturbances and 2 weeks they started happening again. He says until he found out about the ghostbusters, he and the owners never wanted to report it or even mention it which shows Peter's advertising idea is already showing results.

i feel like you don't see comfortable friendly exchange type scenes today in movies. everything is so intense, and it's clear the actors have drilled thousands of times and are trying to exude their character. this is more comfortable and accessible to me, imo anyway
