Sonic can go on adventures without leaving the Wachowskis behind. I don't understand why people think Sonic having a legitimate family is a weakness. If anything having a family actually gives Sonic a tangible and relatable thing to fight for. Something I've seen a lot recently is that "Sonic is as free as the wind." If that's true, doesn't that mean he's free from anyone's personal expectations of him? Or said another way he's free to embody many things for many people. To say that Sonic has to be a certain way, doesn't that contradict the idea of him being as "free as the wind?" I'm not trying to disregard anyone's opinions on the movies, but I think the idea that the movie franchise has to become exactly like the games undermines what these movies bring to the table, that being introducing a new audience to the world of Sonic. You'll always have the games and comics for traditional Sonic stories and characters, let the movies be the movies. Additionally let fans of the movies be fans of the movies.

Rachel overstayed her welcome a little bit in Sonic movie 2, but it’s a mild blemish compared to the screen-time and treatment of the human characters from the Knuckles TV show.
Despite not usually being the most interesting part of many movies, the main humans were surprisingly a lot more interesting and fun to watch than what I have originally expected when watching the sonic movies

Not to mention the copaganda present in these movies by positioning Tom as a “good cop” (when in reality policing in America (ESPECIALLY in places like Montana) is very oppressive and goes against everything Sonic stands for as a character) but none of y’all seem to ever be ready for that conversation.
Stone and Walters are technically OCs but they are in roles that any Sonic universe should have filled out. We need a GUN Commander and an Egg Lackey. To be honest as much as I adore Towers, I do kinda like the idea of the GUN Commander being a role that can be shifted as needed to give each universe their own tone. It had basically always worked that way for the Egg Lackey.
Agent Stone is an awesome original character in these films. His relationship with Robotnik is compelling (especially with what we’re shown in Sonic 3) and the actor is clearly enjoying the role. He’s easily the best original character in the trilogy.
At least Crazy Carl made it to the top 10! I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him in the 3rd movie shouting, "Hey Sonic, have a chili dog!" He tosses him one from the grill. Just that little cameo would be nice.
About the watchoskis, you can be a confident action hero and still live with a good family. Honestly, I wish more stories focused on the hero’s relationship with loving, supportive parents, adopted or otherwise, like the sonic movies do. Also, I find it interesting how robotnik is implied to struggle with his own care for Stone. He tells Stone he won’t miss him when he’s gone, yet he makes an imaginary friend modeled after Stone when he’s stuck on the mushroom planet. He repeatedly says in sonic 1 that he only trusts machines, yet according to sonic 2 deleted scenes and the sonic 2 prequel comic he entrusted Stone to enact contingencies in the event of his disappearance. He tells knuckles that Stone means nothing to him, and later says that friendship means dookey to him, and yet his first instinct after grabbing the Chaos Emerald is to teleport to Stone in Green Hills. Remember, all his enemies; sonic, tails, knuckles, the watchoskis and GUN are all in Hawaii at the time. Literally the only reason robotnik has to travel to green hills is for Stone. I think it’s clear that Robotnik cares for Stone, despite his attempts to tell everyone, including himself, that he doesn’t. One may think that it’s simply because robotnik likes having someone praise him due to his narcissism, but I think there’s something more here. In sonic 1, robotnik responds to Tom’s breastfeeding comment by saying “rub that in my orphan face.” In a deleted scene from sonic 2, when Stone says “mother” in response to robotnik’s physical abuse, robotnik’s response is “I never met mine. Thanks for reminding me.” One may think these are simply typical crazy Robotnik comments…until you see the sonic 3 trailers, and you see that Robotnik is legitimately ecstatic to be reunited with his grandfather. I think him lacking a family in his upbringing, and the incident with the school bully mentioned in sonic 1 that gave Robotnik his “be smarter and stronger than everyone else philosophy,” caused Robotnik to get scared to get to attached to people nor to allow people to get to attached to him. The lack of love he experienced as a child due to his absentee family likely caused him to close himself off, and yet when Agent Stone entered the picture, some part of Robotnik began to see Stone as a genuine friend, creating a crisis in his worldview. One part of Robotnik likely wants to push Stone away like everyone else, while another part, some deep, long repressed part of him, the part that is still that crying kid who was just punched in the school cafeteria reaching out for love he could never have from a nonexistent family, is now getting genuine unconditional love for the first time in his life ( and to be clear, I think it is FRIENDSHIP love) from Stone, and that part of him desperately wants to accept it. Based on the sonic 3 trailers, I think Robotnik is going to gravitate to Gerald and Shadow, seeing it as an opportunity to finally have a family, only for them to betray him once it becomes clear that they have conflicting ideas with him for whether to use the ARK to rule or destroy humanity. If that’s the case, and if my theory that Robotnik gravitates to Stone despite himself because of his subconscious childlike desire for the love and support he never had as a child is true, then I wonder how Robotnik’s relationship with Gerald throughout the movie will affect his relationship with Stone. I wonder of Robotnik will push Stone away even further, not wanting to open himself up again after being spurned by his grandfather’s betrayal, or if the betrayal will cause him to realize the genuine care that Stone has for him in comparison, causing him to finally acknowledge him as a friend.
Poor Wade, he was made a disservice with the Knuckles show :') Alongside movies or media that put comedic relief characters in the main role, I always think of Timon And Pumba. Good writing that knows how to make it work can truly go a long way. My favorite have to be Tom and Maddie, as a pack, they're highly likeable and make for a precious family dynamic with Team Sonic. You're right, eventually we'll have to move on and I've known that from the start, but having had this in the first place is still insane to me; SEGA would never explore these concepts in the games so seeing them be prominent in this universe is just lovely , I adore that the writers had so much leeway thus far. We could've seen more of that fun family dynamic in little shorts before things got more serious aaaa no matter 🤣
Honestly, I really like the human characters in these movies. I think a good compromise to get more Sonic characters involved would be to essentially pull a Sonic X with this universe.
The humans in the Sonic movies are this generation’s equivalent to the Freedom Fighters. Original aspects in a Sonic adaptation that play a part in its identity , both have their hardcore defenders and detractors.
agent stone could Replaced Cubot and Orbot Tom and Maddie could be The Supporting characters like They are lecturing and teaching sonic to be a good Hero
I agree with the top 3 pretty much. But I do think Randall and Rachel should be higher than most of the Knuckles cast. I genuinely liked Randall's more bro-like performance, even if he didnt do a lot for. I also just like Rachel being a genuine hater, especially in Sonic 2 for very valid reasons. I like her performance, and even if I dont really like loud people, I still like how her loudness is used to amplify her anger when it makes sense
I really love Tom (donut lord) he's a great father figure to sonic and is my favorite human character. Loved when he stood up to eggman and even fought him in the first movie when sonic was down. I really hope he doesn't die in the third one

Well I personally like Rachel. I think she has great potential, she just had the misfortune of being only in scenes that break up the pacing of the movies. I’m hoping that in Sonic 3 that Rachel will get more character development, especially since it looks like she might end up joining GUN. At least for Sonic 3 (My money is that after they find out about what GUN did to the Robotnik family, Tom, Rachel, and Randal all quit GUN in protest.).
7:03 I remember seeing a theory on reddit that Carl shot Maria, and that's why he went crazy when he saw Sonic for the first time, he likely had flashbacks to seeing Shadow destroy his G.U.N breatherens.
Before I watch your video I want to make one thing perfectly clear, I really like the humans and the Sonic movies in fact the only human I don't like is Wade's sister
Wade and Agent stone are my favorites I think wade and knuckles bond is really nice and the show should have focused on that because as a duo they get along really really well
One thing you have to give Randall was how he was handled. He actual does care about Rachel and to an extent Tom and Maddie, not hiding his true colors or anything. He even shows guilt for tricking Rachel into marrying him.
As much as people like to dump on the humans in these movies, I genuinely love Sonic's relationship with Tom and Maddie. It's so wholesome, and I REALLY want them to keep exploring it. I'm fine with them becoming less prominent later on, but I will be legit sad if they're written out entirely.
Tbh Agent Stone and the Wachowskies are humans I don't mind seeing in more Sonic projects. Though I agree with you that they might need to take a backseat and focus on the lore.
I LOVE AGENT STONE! As soon as I watched the movie, I knew he was going to be my favourite. I love him so much!!! He has my favourite qualities. 1. Assistant. 2. On the evil side. 3. Intelligent. 4. Is most likely in love with his boss. 5. Intelligent. I'm very surprised you didn't compare him to Waylon Smithers Jr. I mean, they're basically the same character (this is a joke). But, you compared other characters to Simpsons characters.. which is why I'm surprised you didn't compare him to Smithers. I love Agent Stone and Waylon Smithers Jr
The idea of the Wanda character was terribly executed 1) In the end she is as much of a loser as Wade but never gets a redemption arc to up herself unlike Wade. They should have made her an FBI agent but a successfull just to point out how much of a loser Wade is but in the end showing that Wade was capable of saving her. Also the fork scene was the most mean thing I have seen so far in the movies, there is no point of return after that, it would have been more salvageable if they did this on the flasbacks when they were kids, not as full grown adults Also regarding Rachel, I actually liked the wedding subplot because it shows how petty GUN can be, and she played her role perfectly, the only issue was the scene of the humans rescuing sonic but thats not Rachels fault, just that it was unnecesary
I know right? She bullied Wade through childhood, criticized him for thinking he made up GUN, and then stabbed him with a fork in front of the mother. And Wades mother never does anything to stop it, even judged Wade for leaving like her husband. The worst part is Wanda never apologizes even when GUN attacked them.
I'm glad to finally find someone who doesn't hate Commander Walters! After his actions in the second movie, several people started to dislike him! There was even one UA-camr who would NOT shut up about "Oh, Commander Walters is a heartless monster; he deserves to die!" Not that he's my favorite character, he just doesn't deserve as much hate as he gets.
... Eh eh ahem... I believe we said ""Every" Human Character In The Sonic Movies Ranked"!... We have totally forgotten all of our favorite mad scientist... ... Dr. Robotnik!!!
@thebrickbros.1294 ... Um... funny... and understood, so apologies on my part... but while I might've missed that, shouldn't these words be in the subtitle as well seeing that such things can be missed otherwise?!!!
*Wanda Whipple should get her own spinoff show. She is the best character in the entire Sonic Franchise and she should get more scenes with her.. SEGA should rebrand the Sonic Franchise to focus more on Wanda The Human...* (I will not stop f*cking lying.)
Not gonna lie, when it was first announced, I was pretty sold on the idea of Sonic working with a cop, mainly because it’s just a way better and more interesting idea than sonic being friends with an immature kid for the hundredth time.
You should do a ranking of Eggman/Robotnik lackeys across all iterations. Let's see how Agent Stone stands up when compared to the rest of the franchise.
I remember really liking Rachel in the first movie, to the point where she was what sold me on being the character to pay attention to as the most understandable for shenanigans (cranked up to 11 with the absurdity of Sonic in her world) making her life difficult. We leave her off with an amused daughter quoting him around her as she's unapologetically tied up for not lending support to a mascot character. Tom and Maddie were obligatory and I just through their quippy fuzzy stand-in roles and Agent Stone was likewise just there to compliment a character I was already set to like. Very unfair and dismissive as character study but this is humans in a Sonic story and I like the character the feels abrasive and halfway meta (like a parent roped into being familiarized with the brand) in a way for it.
Rachel is honestly one of my favorites characters in these movies and the wedding scene is awesome. Wanda is disappointing because her actress, Edi Patterson, is fantastic in The Righteous Gemstones (great show! Watch it!). It felt like they just told her to do a PG version of that character without the context or complexity that made her so great in that show
@@yay29823 She's the most important element of Shadow's lore, I don't see any reality where that's not worth exploring in the movie more than Rachel's sub plot. Even the fan film could manage that.
Relax, the director already said Shadow and Maria's story will be the focal point of the movie and the part of the story that's given the most respect and care put into it.
Well, Randel had a poster for the last film as well despite barely being in that film. I think Walters had more screentime then him overall despite not showing up until over halfway throught the movie yet i don't think Walters ever got a poster or even got to show up in any posters for these movies.

“You don’t become human until at least 21”
B-but… *I’m 21…*

Wade and Agent Stone better be everyone's favorite
Wade Whipple the 🐐
THE FLAMES OF DISASTER 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
Agent Stone, yes.
The manchild with daddy issues who stole Knuckles' show? Hell no.
@@KeltkeGH agent stone hater? Unexpected
@@TeamEmerald3I think they were hating on Wade
I actually really like Wade. Say what you want about his portrayal in the Knuckles show, but he had a really good character arc.
Bro I love agent stone. He’s a fun character in the movies and he’s super chill with his fans.
As someone that likes humans characters i really liked this video
Honestly, I really like the human characters in these movies. I think a good compromise to get more Sonic characters involved would be to essentially pull a Sonic X with this universe.
…I thought the sister in law was hilarious😅 Not in the first movie but in the second one? HILARIOUS
3:18 I love Rachel she is funny but to me she is an independent woman you don't understand how much I respect her
Same being so fr 😭
The humans in the Sonic movies are this generation’s equivalent to the Freedom Fighters.
Original aspects in a Sonic adaptation that play a part in its identity , both have their hardcore defenders and detractors.
Good comparison tbh
Tom and Agent Stone are the greatest.
Wade is great...
In small doses.
it was pretty obvious who was gonna win. What characters from the movies besides Agent Stone have been modded into Sonic games themselves?
Agent Stone and the Wachowskis are characters I wouldn't mind seeing in the games. Although I wouldn't really know what their roles would be
agent stone could Replaced Cubot and Orbot Tom and Maddie could be The Supporting characters like They are lecturing and teaching sonic to be a good Hero
I love Tom and Maddie, don't get me wrong... but they would be seriously out of place in the games. Stone could work, though.
Yes...he should have been casted as Fang the hunter. That is ingenious.
I really love Tom (donut lord) he's a great father figure to sonic and is my favorite human character. Loved when he stood up to eggman and even fought him in the first movie when sonic was down. I really hope he doesn't die in the third one
i'mma just say it.
i think maddie and tom are sonic's best parents and i want a agent stone type charater in the games.
Rachel made me laugh honestly

Well I personally like Rachel. I think she has great potential, she just had the misfortune of being only in scenes that break up the pacing of the movies. I’m hoping that in Sonic 3 that Rachel will get more character development, especially since it looks like she might end up joining GUN. At least for Sonic 3 (My money is that after they find out about what GUN did to the Robotnik family, Tom, Rachel, and Randal all quit GUN in protest.).
Stone is definitely the best human in the series he’s basically a better Orbot and Cubot
As someone who loves Orbot and Cubot (they're my favourites in the games).. agreed.
I'm sorry, Orbot, but.. Agent Stone is just better.
I love when Minion said banana in Despicable Me. 🍌🍌❤
The olive garden guy is a legend
7:03 I remember seeing a theory on reddit that Carl shot Maria, and that's why he went crazy when he saw Sonic for the first time, he likely had flashbacks to seeing Shadow destroy his G.U.N breatherens.
Before I watch your video I want to make one thing perfectly clear, I really like the humans and the Sonic movies in fact the only human I don't like is Wade's sister
Wade and Agent stone are my favorites
I think wade and knuckles bond is really nice and the show should have focused on that because as a duo they get along really really well
9:35 It actually makes sense on why these franchises attach so many people down in their luck.
Crazy Carl was the agent who led to Maria’s demise-
we dont know that for sure its just a theory
Babe wake up channel pup just dropped a new video
Oh wait I’m single
Damn
Justice for Wade
Hell YEAH 👍
#FLAMESOFDISASTER
@@TheDigiDogI agree #FLAMESOFDISASTER
One thing you have to give Randall was how he was handled. He actual does care about Rachel and to an extent Tom and Maddie, not hiding his true colors or anything. He even shows guilt for tricking Rachel into marrying him.
I agree about Commander Walters, he's a good character and I want to see his connection with Project Shadow 🙂
1. Dr. Robotnik
2. James Marsden
3. Jack Sinclair
4. Agent Stone
5. Maddie
Not me forgetting every human character from the Knuckles series
Great rankings man on sonic the hedgehog human characters in these movies.
Agent Stone is the most beloved human character!
For those asking “ WHERES EGGMAN?” He’s part egg, not a human, why do you think his name is eggman.
Lmaooo
As much as people like to dump on the humans in these movies, I genuinely love Sonic's relationship with Tom and Maddie. It's so wholesome, and I REALLY want them to keep exploring it. I'm fine with them becoming less prominent later on, but I will be legit sad if they're written out entirely.
I need to watch the Knuckles TV series. I have to see more Wanda The Human representation.
The episode with the musical and motorcycle duel alone makes Wade an S tier character for me.
Wade better be number 1
Tbh Agent Stone and the Wachowskies are humans I don't mind seeing in more Sonic projects. Though I agree with you that they might need to take a backseat and focus on the lore.
Rachel is probably my favourite supportive character
Ladies, get yourself a man that thinks of you the way Agent Stone thinks of Dr. Robotnic
The idea of the Wanda character was terribly executed
1) In the end she is as much of a loser as Wade but never gets a redemption arc to up herself unlike Wade. They should have made her an FBI agent but a successfull just to point out how much of a loser Wade is but in the end showing that Wade was capable of saving her.
Also the fork scene was the most mean thing I have seen so far in the movies, there is no point of return after that, it would have been more salvageable if they did this on the flasbacks when they were kids, not as full grown adults
Also regarding Rachel, I actually liked the wedding subplot because it shows how petty GUN can be, and she played her role perfectly, the only issue was the scene of the humans rescuing sonic but thats not Rachels fault, just that it was unnecesary
AGENT STONE IS THE BEST PERIODDD
I'm glad to finally find someone who doesn't hate Commander Walters! After his actions in the second movie, several people started to dislike him! There was even one UA-camr who would NOT shut up about "Oh, Commander Walters is a heartless monster; he deserves to die!"
Not that he's my favorite character, he just doesn't deserve as much hate as he gets.
Prediction: The bottom of this list will be every new character from the Knuckles series. Besides maybe Wade's mom.
Nice Soap Shoes😃
... Eh eh ahem... I believe we said ""Every" Human Character In The Sonic Movies Ranked"!... We have totally forgotten all of our favorite mad scientist...
... Dr. Robotnik!!!
Eh ahem, I also believe he said that doctor robotnik doesn’t count because he’s a game character. Did you not Wach the video or something
@thebrickbros.1294 ... Um... funny... and understood, so apologies on my part... but while I might've missed that, shouldn't these words be in the subtitle as well seeing that such things can be missed otherwise?!!!
@@anricquet that’s ok I hope I didn’t sound too harsh, I was kind of going for more of a joke vibe.
Wade whipple s teir
*Wanda Whipple should get her own spinoff show. She is the best character in the entire Sonic Franchise and she should get more scenes with her.. SEGA should rebrand the Sonic Franchise to focus more on Wanda The Human...*
(I will not stop f*cking lying.)
Agent stone sweep
Pretty much perfect top 3.
I love every human character a lot. Almost all of them should be number 1. They add so much story to the movies and knuckles show.
The best humans are agent stone and WADE (plus Tom)
i feel like doing this before sonic 3 is a good move because maria and gerald are kinda in a league of their own
Donut Lord and Pretzel Lady are gonna end up adopting Shadow, aren't they?
Not gonna lie, when it was first announced, I was pretty sold on the idea of Sonic working with a cop, mainly because it’s just a way better and more interesting idea than sonic being friends with an immature kid for the hundredth time.
10:56 oh my god live action fang would go crazy!
RANDALL!!!!!!!!!!! 3:48
You should do a ranking of Eggman/Robotnik lackeys across all iterations. Let's see how Agent Stone stands up when compared to the rest of the franchise.
Yeah, Wanda is awful. Everything good about Wade stripped away and all his flaws blown up x10.
I'd like to see the Commander in the Shadow movie (if they make it).
I feel like Wanda could have been a lot better if she was just toned down only a tiny bit.
Rachel is honestly one of my favorites characters in these movies and the wedding scene is awesome. Wanda is disappointing because her actress, Edi Patterson, is fantastic in The Righteous Gemstones (great show! Watch it!). It felt like they just told her to do a PG version of that character without the context or complexity that made her so great in that show
They should kill wanda of camera but she could be another character.
I love this list
Agent stone is the goat of these movies
The fact Randall and Rachel have movie posters and Maria doesn't tells me we aren't getting the Shadow movie we want.
To be fair, Maria is more of a backstory to Shadow than her own character, at least if we're trying to introduce his story to the audience
@@Dante-k4c I hope that's true, but I'm just going by evidence we've actually seen. I'll be thrilled if that's not the case.
1. Robotnik
2. Donut Lord
3. Agent Stone
4. Rachel
5.Wendy
6. Maddie
7. Commander Walters
8. Wade
Even looking at the Thumbnail, I am confident Agent Stone is #1

Agent stone deserves to be the new main human villain continuing after robotnik in sonic 3
