This is standard push to start your never supposed to put the key in unless fob is dead . Thats the emergency start spot. Now somes don't have the smart key
Yeah. Mine is a N14 pre-facelift but I never start it with the key in the ignition. Together with the button on the door, it is the whole point of having comfort access - your key never ever leaves your pocket or purse.
Yea some older models didn’t come with the comfort package. So this is geared a little more towards people who didn’t have that feature. Thank you for watching and commenting though
Yea Step 1: get in the car, close all the doors. Step 2: turn on car with key for 10 seconds. Step 3: turn off car, take out the key, and push the start button with 3 seconds. Now you can open doors and leave the car. And take your keys
It will work on any Cooper if you do exactly like he did in the video but if you have comfort access then it will start without the key at anytime as long as it senses the key is inside the vehicle. So with comfort access the idea is that you should never have to take the key out of your bag or pocket to get into and start the car.
Most models are like that now. You can start with the keys in you pocket or backpack. You can also enter the car without the key too.... As long the key is close to your car, the door will open for you with a small button. So any newer car or even older model that have a little black button on the door handle, you can key-less entry.
With some models yea you can but not all models come with comfort access. So you have to put the key in before you start it. And remove and turn on again with in the ten second period with your doors closed. Then you can climb in and out the car with your keys in your pocket. Trust me this is helpful for warming up your car and going back inside your house and locking your car.
If someone steals your car...., they think they are all set since it's running. When they press the "stop" button. The car will no longer be able to start. See it? 😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️
Never knew this. Worked on my 2014 R60 Countryman 👍
fantastic, I always had this problems
Came from bimmer dude's channel. Nice tip will be using this in the cold mornings cheers .

Bimmer Dude yeah I had a 335i before my mini Cooper and it had the same feature.

This is standard push to start your never supposed to put the key in unless fob is dead . Thats the emergency start spot. Now somes don't have the smart key

Good to know that's pretty cool
How do you change the color of the lights on the door handle
Honestly some models come with a toggle switch that allow you to change the ambient light.
Switch on the roof some if you keep it pressed cycles through the colours automatically to
How do you know if your alarm is on or off??
On my 2013 with keyless entry I never have to put the key in the ignition. I just leave it in my back pack
You have the newer model feature. My 2013 still can't :(.
Yea some models don’t have that feature
Didn't think you needed your key in the slot to start it anyway.
Yeah. Mine is a N14 pre-facelift but I never start it with the key in the ignition. Together with the button on the door, it is the whole point of having comfort access - your key never ever leaves your pocket or purse.
You are correct!
Yea this is for people who don’t got comfort access
Thought you said you can not open the door. So how would you run inside?
Any chance you know what speaker sizes are in that model and year?
Can open the door before turning it on again once it's on you can open the door.. works on my 2009 and 2012 and for speaker idk.
Meant to say that as long as you don’t open the door before you start it again. Once it’s on you can open the door and leave the car unattended
I never put the key in the holder the only time I ever put it in the holder is when battery dies in it
Yea some older models didn’t come with the comfort package. So this is geared a little more towards people who didn’t have that feature. Thank you for watching and commenting though
Mine is 2009
It didn’t work ! Could you tell me please how to

Thank you
Yea
Step 1: get in the car, close all the doors.
Step 2: turn on car with key for 10 seconds.
Step 3: turn off car, take out the key, and push the start button with 3 seconds.
Now you can open doors and leave the car. And take your keys
Have you tried driving the car without putting the key back in??
Yea it works
If you dont have a clutch??

Any chance that you can roll down your window with the key fob like Audi ? Any one bow how to?
Yea you just hold the unlock for a couple seconds and to roll up the window you hold the lock
Works for bmws as well
Yea my bmw used to do this. This is why I found out my mini did it too
I can start mine without the key anytime! 10 sec lol as long as the key is in the car! “Smart car”
Yea you got comfort access some models don’t come with that. That’s why I made the video to show how to do it on cars that don’t have comfort access
Nice, you need Comfort access to make this work?
No works on any Cooper

Great thanks
This is awesome!!
Does this work for 2013 automatic?
It worked on my 2013 manual, most likely it'll work on an automatic too
Yes, it worked on my 2013 auto.
I can start mine without putting the key in as long as it is in my pocket.
very useful Man! thx
I don't understand why you can't just start the car with the key in your pocket to begin with, that is the point of having a button and not a key.
Most models are like that now. You can start with the keys in you pocket or backpack. You can also enter the car without the key too.... As long the key is close to your car, the door will open for you with a small button. So any newer car or even older model that have a little black button on the door handle, you can key-less entry.

Yeah cool man

It's a good feature. Stupid people just stoopid to find it useful !!! 😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️😂❤️
Bruh it's stupid, you can just drive your car without a key in it. It's a cool feature but there is no real point in using it.
