I think of it the other way around with the stones. I feel like The Rolling Stones improved blues and rock. They made old blues artists known who had fallen off and took massive inspiration from muddy waters and Chuck Berry. If you listen to a lot of the bands the stones covered a lot of them would take inspiration from each other and did sound alike.

If you're a musician/singer/songwriter and you never have anything nice to say to or say about your fellow musicians/singers/songwriters, you're most likely a NARCISSIST. Just ask David Crosby.

Richie dislikes anything that’s more successful than him and seems to be full of self loathing. He burned his bandmates in both Deep Purple and Rainbow and discarded them when he was finished using them. I even think he has contempt for his fans but values the money they bring him. He’s blown off many while touring with Rainbow and Deep Purple and even proved it while he was present with Ronnie James Dio which we’ve heard on several occasions. The only time he’s shown any respect for his audience was when he was with his wife Candace Night at Renaissance Fairs while playing his other music not many are interested in. More sour grapes from Richie.
