I put Cajun seasoning in pretty much everything. My mum has a secret cumin salt recipe that makes everything taste amazing. I’m an ex restaurant owner. I like adding eastern flavours to my western dishes. I adore Caribbean flavours. I’ve been told that I make the best curries ever. I live in the UK with my wife Sonia and our dog Milo. I also spend a lot of time in Canada. I hope you try and enjoy my recipes.
Punjabi style Chicken Curry
I’ve been eating Punjabi chicken curry all my life, and I’ve been cooking Punjabi chicken curry for the best part of 20 years, but I’ve only recently realised that oven cooking curries creates so much more intense flavour and depth in flavour.
When you have the time or when you have a special occasion please start cooking your Punjabi chicken curry on the stove as usual, but finish cooking in the oven.
This works particularly well for meat on the bone. If you are using boneless chicken or chicken breast which is leaner then please remove the chicken before placing in the oven and add it back for the final 10 mins, otherwise it may overcook.
Please try this punjabi chicken curry method and let me know what you think.
Don’t worry if you don’t have all of the spices. You can even make this recipe without the whole spices. As long as you have Garlic, Ginger, Onion, Tomato and Garam Masala you’ll make a fine Punjabi chicken curry. Enjoy 😊

Where the Ceylon or black pepper powder@? Cud ultimately save time by make a honey and ginger extract soak in a jar over over night in a crock pot, then u cud just add lemon powder(not citric acid) and a fatty base for the turmeric to heat up in the water like coconut or olive oil. in the the end wud be much faster cheaper and culinary…. Yes absolutely, leave it out all together and just add stock or broth, or add a splash of vinegar to balance it out. 🙂

Yes adding peppercorns to simmer makes a different and adds an extra kick for taste too 🙂
There are so many varieties to the tea, you can add coconut milk or whole milk as the fat enhances the body’s ability to absorb the key nutrients from the turmeric.. enjoy ☺️

Thank you glad you enjoyed the video. I prefer to simmer gently to avoid losing any of the key nutrients in the turmeric. It’s still a nutritions drink if you boil it rather than simmer.

According to Ayurvedic science Never boil honey, you can add it at last because when you boil honey it becomes poisonous so prefer add it at the last..

interesting you did not need the egg as a binder, the crumbled crackers did that instead.
Yes I’ve made variations of this recipe a few times and. I find that the salmon is oily enough so the mixture doesn’t require egg to bind it together. However I do always leave the mixture in the fridge to set for about 4 hours before I mould into hotdogs. They always look and taste better once set. 😊
@@Mreffindelicious Thanks for the inspiration, I made salmon burgers yesterday it came out great, I actually used the food processor to chop up the salmon, bread crumbs and kicked it up a notch with shallots and other seasonings. I am going to pick up a burger press. and next time around I'll leave lumps of salmon to make it like a salmon "cake" patty. It was super easy and fun to do and quick! Shrimp patties should be fun to do too.

Looks yummy!!! I´m going to give it a go. A few questions: can you add the honey while simmering it or just when you are pouring it? Once cool for how long can it be kept in the fridge? Also, I read that adding some black pepper is beneficial to "activate " the turmeric and all the goodness. Is it so or is it just personal taste?
Yes I often add black pepper too, it helps your body absorb the goodness from the turmeric, and yes you can add the honey while simmering. I keep a large jug in my fridge and it typically lasts about 4 or 5 days. Hope that helps. Please let me know how it turns out 🙂
