I love that we say with a straight face ‘hardest 10 days in the army.’ This is in no way even remotely true-any day in Ranger school is harder than every day in AASLT school and that’s not even getting into the Special Operations side of Army Training. Scuba/Combat Diver, freefall, pathfinder (academically much more challenging), sniper, Sapper, EOD School, SERE C: all much harder. Airborne is easier.

The Board is nonsense and should be abolished. it's just an opportunity for high ranking NCOs to intimidate junior enlisted whose not able to swat or regurgitate a bunch of unnecessary stuff. I did two boards while deployed in Poland, I did well on both, but it was just nerve wracking and very intimidating for no reason
