What is the specific place you go to get a VA loan. Most realtors don't know the application process. Do we apply through navy federal? Or veterans united ? I've been searching and asking and no luck!
Most realtors do know what it is. I’ve had 3 and all three knew it. If they don’t know find a new one. You can get your home loan through a ton of different lenders. Usaa and Navy Fed can help.
@@HeresTheDrill Thanks SFC, I've asked 3 realtors in California as well and they all told me that I had to apply myself... veterans united have been helpful but their name is veteransunited but the fine print says they are not affiliated with the VA so I was assuming they are like a lender similar to USAA and navy federal?
Some amazing information, makes me want to stay in the military for longer just for a home. My question is wouldn’t you be paying three mortgages in your example? The two rental homes that you own and the house youd actually live in? Or were you referring to the fact those who are renting will be paying off both those mortgages so they are kind of cancelled out? Overall amazing information I wish my unit would teach these sort of things to us
Thanks 🙏 great tips

I own two, one I rent and one I currently live in. Yes I pay both but one I receive the money from and pay out of the rent. So really only 1
@@HeresTheDrill thanks for the clarification! Do you think that’s something a single soldier could get into? 😆
Most units do when they get promoted to Sgt they can move out of barracks and could definitely do that.
Is there a difference between getting a VA loan as an active duty soldier vs getting it as a veteran?
No difference
I specifically went on this deployment so i can save up and buy a house with the VA home loan and have a decent down payment even tho its not required
Now you got money for home improvements
