I hope you remove batteries before changing blades look after your hands brother
Festool brought the world first brushless drill to market many moons ago they have had those special chuck right angle and eccentric for about 20yrs in verious form
Lithium graphine batteries will soon come to market they will be lighter and more powerful you can buy the lighter festool 18v batteries which would give you more balance 3ah
Good info. Iam just a hobbyist. The UJK clips work just fine for casual work. However, for accuracy it’s better to clamp the ends of the rail to the table and use dogs like the UJK super dog/similar or TSO’s chamfer dogs that can be secured from the bottom ( the best dog design that I have encountered for my kind of use) no chance of any wiggle or shift
I own 6 routers, and none of them are Festool... the reason is Festool really doesn't work well with a router table, and I don't like how it really only works in one direction and may give kick-back going the other direction. I also like the lever on a plunge router that's a very standard design on other routers.
Their are pros and cons with each tipe a question of choice you will notice both mafell and festool use both tipe festool 2200 suit your equipment but of 1010 and the new mafell is ideal for working on track for shelf pin holes the tipe you have is not ideal but maybe you use yours for other functions
That’s one good looking edge guide. I wish they would make one for the 1400. The current fence for the 1400 is the only Festool product I ever returned. I found it really cumbersome to use.
Festool/Makita/etc.
With Google Translate A good comparison, but not entirely correct. When you're sawing, do you have the tire lying on the table, as you show? No, it lies on the material, and if we say it’s typical plywood, 15mm, which means that the tire is raised above the table. Moreover, usually, in addition to the part, I also put scraps of the same material on both ends of the tire so that the part can be easily removed and another one can be put in. So in practice, this real drawback of the first option is not so serious. Yes, clips are indeed more convenient, but there is nowhere to attach them to a Mafell/Bosch tire. And not everyone has Festool/Makita/etc tires. I understand what you are saying. Thanks for checking out the video.
THE MANUAL STATES FOLLOWING: Squaring the Blade (90%)to the Fence (0" Miter): Remove battery pack. 2. Place a square against the fence and blade and ensure that the square is not touching blade teeth as this will cause an inaccurate measurement. 3. Loosen the miter lock lever and move the saw to the 0 miter position. Do not tighten the lock lever. 4. If the saw blade is not exactly perpendicular to the fence, use the supplied wrench to loosen the screws that hold the miter scale to the table. Move the scale left or right until the blade is perpendicular to the fence. Use the square to verify that the blade is perpendicular to the fence. Retighten the screws. 5. Loosen the miter pointer adjustment screw and reposition the pointer so that it indicates exactly zero. Once the pointer is properly positioned. retighten the miter pointer adjustment screw
Thanks for the information. Obviously, I did not read the manual. Also thanks for checking out the video.
I'd rather have more accessory support than the bi-directional rail.
I get where you are coming from. I guess I just wanted it all. Bi-directional plus the accessories. The Dewalt was my first track saw so when I moved to the Makita and Festool it felt odd to only be able to use the rail on one side. Also since I started with the Dewalt I did not even know about parallel guides and rail squares back then. Thanks for checking out the video.
Ya know.. for the expensive planer.. there comes with it a Guard or rail guide of sorts. - i have it.. i absolutely dislike they dont have a detachable cord. (That its permanently affixed to the tool itself).
I tried to purchase those accessories off of Ebay but I got outbid. I kind of feel the same way about the TS60 and TSV60 track saws. A plug-it cord would have been nice.
I’m a small time woodworker n the first I did was electrical the dust collector off fb marketplace it makes a world of difference and them hate any woodworker or hobbyist would be lying if they said they wouldn’t buy all the cool tools if they could keep doing you hard work and dedication will get you there already know your a nurse how many people had to say about that
I can totally relate to what you are saying. Thanks for taking time to check out the video.
sounds like adding proper amount of receptacles should be a priority. Romex is easy to DIY.
I have considered it. However, that does not solve my hours of operation problem. Having neighbors close is limiting.
BUT, I don't think dewalt circular saw will fit, only the track saw
No, I don't believe the circular saw works. Thanks for checking out the video.
I have the 3AH batteries with CXS18 which would save around 200 grams at the base. Will save quite a bit of bulk. I’m currently considering the CXS12 for smaller tasks. How would you compare the noise levels? It’d be cool to see a a stress test to see how far the 12 can push the 18.
Thanks for the tip. Using a random sound meter application that I downloaded from Google Play I got 79DB for the Festool CXS18 and 84 DB for the Festool CXS12. The 12 has more of a piercing sound when compared to the 18. Wear hearing protection. I will look into a stress test video and I may upload a clip of the sound test as well. Thanks for checking out the video
Great video !!!! thanks
Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate the support.
Nice unit ! I put my Kapex120 on a Bosch folding trolly stand that has pull-out side extensions ( Bosch GTA 2500 W ) . Also bought the Festool Kapex side extension supports ( Festool 494369 ) . Have found that a second wood clamp ( Festool 494391 ) is useful ( for other side ) to stop long pieces flipping up when cut in the middle somewhere .
Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to check out the video. I have also considered picking up a second clamp.
Have you ever heard of a "broom", also, do you know you can cut clips?
All feedback is useful. Thanks for checking out the video.
Just my opinion I think the CT Cyclone would save your HEPA filter from plugging up. I have been grinding an expansion joint inside my home. Had to rent a large dual grinder machine . My Festool MIDI could not keep up with the dust left on floor from this monster machine. I realize if I had a AC36 Festool vacuum it would have kept up. I am picking up a CT Cyclone unit this week anyway.
I agree that is why I purchased it.
Stop building oversized and then cutting the ends of. You keep doing this on every project i've seen you do. It's a waste of material. It makes everything more difficult and in this case the cutoff ends don't look good being cut of with such a rough tool as a recipro saw. You also did this with your miter saw station and hitting the metal underneath as i understood you correctly in your last video. Bro, you need to start measuring your shit. Also, let's say your planter box is not on a level surface but you're making the "roof" level, it will look off even when the "roof" is level. You should just measure from the top of the planter box up to the desired height and repeat that on every vertical stud and just use those lines to screw the roof... In this case the roof needs to be level in correlation to the box. You should screw the vertical studs to the planter box, measure around them and pre-assemble the roof. Then just attach the roof and done. Nailing supports to the wood to keep it perfect level is all completely unnecessary. I would have mitered the edges also to make it a bit nicer instead of having the cutoffs. Could have challenged yourself even a bit more and use domino's to attach the roof instead of screws... I mean, you literaly have all the tools a man can dream about. Even most pro's don't have the range of tools you have xD That's just my advice i can give you. Grtz
I hear you. All of my projects to date have been unplanned. There are no drawings or sketchups. It also does not help that I don't purchase plans. I am trying to better understand my tools by building very basic projects. As I get more comfortable, I expect to see more consistent results. I did consider using the Domino; however, I did not have any Sipo tenons for outdoor projects, and I did not feel like picking them up. I appreciate the feedback and criticism. It will challenge me to get better. Another big challenge is that I have had no formal training in recording and editing video, so I am trying to build a project off the top of my head while making a video in the little time I have available. I believe I will get better. It is just more challenging when juggling many different things simultaneously.
Nice piece of equipment . I find that the FSK needs a piece of wood that ( maybe ) is 10" wide or the rail is too tippy for me unless you can use the table's edge and a same-dimension block or two . I default to the Kapex otherwise . I'm using a TS60 on that rail often .
I think the Festool HKC is a cool tool. I do wish it was a little bit more powerful.
Hey, voble less, but still present. If you put bit in regular chuck you have same results. Fore this price you can buy few DeWalt, or Bosch and have for every bit that you use own drill. As result you don't lose time to change bit, have same voble as Festool and extra tool if something will die. P.S. what is premium in this product: cheap plastic, less numbers of attachments, terrible less functionality rightangel attachment, or something else?
I do understand your perspective. Festool's solution may not be perfect, but there is an improvement in the wobble.
@@daddysharespace fortunately right now I take part in russian-ukraine war, but when we overcome russian invasion I plan relis video about Festool. Yeah, I actually was very disappointed by Festool when see that it have more wobble than my Makita (I also have Bosch, DeWalt, Metabo, Panasonic). So, lote of my tools better than Festool what cost mach more. I hope you know Festool centrotec is actually wera rapidaptor, but wera cheaper and same problem in many cases Festool jigsaw blades actually make by Germany company MP.S but MP.S make it more quality and cheaper. I would say it have global scale, for example Hilti cordless drill was made by Panasonic, grinder, hammer and some other tools make by Bosch, vacuum make Kärcher. But if Bosch grinder costs 150$ Hilti well cost proximity 300$. What interesting in this situation that owner Hilti or Festool believe there is in this tool something magical. This faith more seems like religion fanatics (I don't mean believers, I mean fanatic). My friend asked me about how urgently fix his tool and when I say he can take Bosch parts he can't believe this and behaved like I was his enemy, like I say something tried to him.
Have a look at the youtube clip by Dave Stanton on setting up this tool. You might find our Australian accent a thing, but he explains it very well. I just bought this tool and am a bit worried about the learning curve.
I will check it out.
The provided hose adapter you have is what you need. Insert the shop vac in to the end it where it will fit, and then plug the large end of the adapter in to the jointer. That's the way it works on my Cutech Jointer. Hopes this helps
Thanks for the tip. I did eventually figure that out.
@@daddysharespace you're welcome
Nice job, I like how you could use the old stand.
Thanks
Nice job
Thanks, I appreciate the compliment.
Do you know if any ring or controller would work with the blade...?
ByNorth was the brand that had the ring functionality. I have used both Bluetooth mice, keyboards, and gamepads. I do not believe that Vuzix is getting much third-party support. Maybe that is why they have tried to become more of a supplier of smartglass tech.
OK OK good lookin out I've looked for the focals but a hard one to find
I have a pair. They were discontinued and the support was removed along with application. The company was bought out by Google. When they shut down they gave us all our money back. Rare for a company to do that as I had already owned the ByNorth Focals for over a year.
Great video !!!
Thanks for the compliment and for taking the time to check out the video.
Wish Nz had them, absolutely love the old CXS We seem to be years behind, why !
Sorry to hear you guys don't have them over there. Thanks for checking out the video.
Great video! The annoying and loud noise has kept me returning the new drills. Can’t fathom how they did not manage to get the same sophistication on the new ones. The TPC/TDC are also brushless and nice and quite and powerful. I hope they fix this soon, or at least that my old CXS keeps working like a champ for another decade. 😂
Thank you for the compliment and for checking out the video. There is definitely a distinct difference in the sound. Who knows why that is. I am going to use my noise canceling buds to block out the sound when it get annoyed with it. LOL. I will also be keeping my old CXS for when I want a quieter operation.
Why is their 12 volt battery so large when compared to the same type of tool from Milwaukee 2505-22 M12 Fuel Installation Drill/Driver Kit?
My guess would be the form factor. Multiple batteries. One charging solution. Having a single charging solution across the whole stack keeps the cost of manufacturing down. Its just a guess though.
They also have a „T-Version“ that is smaller in the hand. But I have to say the „C-Grip“ is still my favourite. It just has unbelievable control. And trigger feel and overall build beats the M12 easily in my opinion.
I can not disagree with your assessment. I do not believe we have access to the T-Handle here in the States. We can however purchase the 18-volt version in both styles.
I have it and I love it. Fantastic for hardware cabinet installation.
Nice to hear. My initial impressions lead me to believe that it will work out for me as well. Did you have the older model? Did you keep it?
Was wondering where you went Disappeared out of no where But your back now
Yeah, I had to recalibrate. Thanks for the support.
dope
Thanks for checking out the video.
Do you have same set up for ks 120?
No, not yet. If funds permit I will purchase some time in the future. For right now I am will make a simple stand to put it on.
Just discovered your channel. Gonna watch all the CSC50 videos now. ;-)
Thanks for checking out the channel.
£65 for this it’s crazy
Yes, it is very expensive. Thanks for checking out the video
Title is incorrect
Thanks. 18-125 This is where I got my info www.festoolusa.com/products/cutting/cordless-angle-grinder/576824---agc-18-115-eb-basic-us#Overview
i dont think your using it correctly lol
LOL Thanks for checking out the video.
Hi Quick question. 1. I searched bench dog website looking for parallel guide for Dewalt , i could nt find one. 2. i am going to try my Dewalt with Festool track, if that works, can i order parallel guide for festool to use in my Dewalt track.?
It looks like they may have discontinued it. Poor demand maybe? When I get home from work I look into your second question. Thanks for checking out the video.
Thanks for the review. I did this process in reverse to the norm. I bought this jointer on Friday and now I’m watching your review. Good to hear you’re happy with it. I’ll be practicing before I start a project. Cheers
Thank you for checking out the video. Good luck with the jointer.
Nice clear explanations. Thanks
No problem. Thanks for the compliment and checking out the video.

Please reinstall the riving knife, and use the push stick. The saw comes with both. All that face shield is going to do is keep the blood out of your eyes when you saw off a finger after being punched in the guts by the cut that twists slightly and pinches the blade.
Thanks for checking out the video and for the tips.
I have this saw. For the first generation cordless table saw it was impressive. My issues include the batteries which have three lights, you had best not use the saw when it is down to one light. This is a DeWalt design failure. The saw does exceed in making dust. Did yours not come with a riving knife? I don't regret buying mine, however if I needed a cordless inexpensive table saw I do not think it would be a Flexvolt table saw. I keep mine around for rough work, like fences and such. Thank you for your videos.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the video. Yes, mine does have a riving knife.

Ran to the same issue recently, same saw,but the detent adjustment with the 4 Torx screws did the trick.
Thanks for checking out the video. I plan on adjusting mine as well.
That performance was impressive
Yeah. Not bad for a battery powered saw. Thanks for checking out the video.
