M to tractor started out leaking this hay season. I finally pulled the radiator and soldered it properly. It was a lot of work and luckily I have the time to fix it.

Cabot Deckcorrect 1 year review
Переглядів 4,6 тис.3 роки тому
I painted my deck with deckcorrect and the accompanying stain for the other surfaces. This is after a northeast winter and most of a summer. I think it held up well. I also think better prep simply with a higher pressure washer and turbo nozzle would be the key. Also, no filler.

Revive a lava lamp with Epsom salt mixture experience
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
I picked up an old lava lamp at an estate sale. I was unsure of its age but I know it was at least 20 to 30 years old. Unfortunately the liquid was cloudy and the wax had separated. I tried to shake it hoping to mix it but it only became worse. I then researched how to fix it. When it was cold I drained the Liquid leaving all the wax in the bottom. I then turn on the light and allowed the wax t...
The Old House
Переглядів 324 роки тому
In the midst of the Great depression Bill and Mamie Dahlgren moved into this chicken coop with their 4 boys. They left their rented house in Jamestown to live on their property in Busti. Bill had been told all you needed was a small farm a few cows and you could raise a family. Water came from a dug well and they used an outhouse for most of those years. In the fifties Bill and his younger boys...

MURDER HORNETS! Destroying a German wasp nest.
Переглядів 1754 роки тому
I discovered this wasp nest at the beginning of October. Because of the proximity of the exit to our animals and a water spigot I have to destroy it. Since the majority of this building is unheated I believe they would die in the Winter time anyhow but I don't wanna risk that or have any animals stung.

My SCR on my 15 ram diesel dually became plugged and I swapped it out with a used one. This is the portion where I had to exchange the DEF injector.

Just spend the 40 bucks and enjoy for another 20 years..
It would’ve been great if you had showed every step instead of cutting scenes because I have no idea how you even got that spring out.
Think you cooked the gasket when heating, Probably why it was loose after first bolt out
Great information thanks !
Did you convert this from 2 6v batteries to 1 12v battery?
Thanks for showing the whole process. I have a HUGE farmers wraparound porch that could use a coat or two of this product. Good job!
@@dr.f.3199 Remember, prep is everything. Areas I prepped well are still covered. Poorly prepared areas are bare wood again. This stuff even holds up to modest traffic.
Is that a fe35 or to35
Oil analysis will tell you about fuel dilution and coolant leaks. Blackstone labs is a good one. 58 USD with TBN. New temp probes too.
Heat the bolts up with a torch once bolt turns spray wd 40 will come right out.
I put a little stronger bolts and put some antiseize.
Hey Chris, I’m not sure you check comments anymore, but we’re cousins! Your videos brought back a lot of memories.
I just did a 20 year old deck that I was told needed to be redone with this. It looks great. I will be happy f I can just get a few more years out of it due to the price of lumber!
@@morningcalmlove2700 you sure can. Adhesion is always an issue with older wood. I'd say using high pressure pressure washer, although it may give a rough surface, may yield the best adhesion.
What a stupid unwatchable video
If your 6.7 ram is loosing a bit of coolant and is starting to have emissions codes, your EGR cooler is probably failing. Replacing the DPF and not replacing a leaking cooler will result in replacing the DPF again, along with a few sensors.
I’m a mechanic who was quoted 2400$ to re-core a radiator for my Clark 664 skidder, which was totally absurd considering the core is in great condition. All I needed was the top pan, a drain valve and one mounting bracket re-soldered. Your video and the knowledge you have learned from your neighbour is a godsend. You’ve given me the confidence to attempt this repair. Thank you sir! 😊
@@danjette8238 Confidence, just like WD40 and a rusted bolt. Just kidding. This radiator is working amazingly well. I use it as a primary tractor on my small horse farm.. I've baled almost 2,000 small squares just this year with NO issues.
PB blaster not wd40. Use anti seize on the new one
Delete it.
I'm kind of new with the 479 I'm having trouble with mine seems like it's digging into the ground too much getting dirt on top of the sickles and do you not have to run these at the higher RPM I'm running around 1600 RPMs maybe I should slow it down
please, I have a question, can we mount this engine on a ferguson tef20 4 cylinders, my second question is can we mount a cylinder head from a ferguson tef20 on the engine block of this engine . thanks in advance
Do you think the deck correct would be a better choice for the railing? Despite cost. My railing is in quite rough shape as well
I do think so! It will have a bit of texture but I think it's a great product. My deck now needs reposted but it was in such poor condition to start, getting more than a couple years is great!
We need a video of how to get to that piece. I can’t remove the smaller pins.
It's a film forming coating with minimal solid stain properties in it. It's a masking product with high failure rates. It doesn't Bond without professional cleaning, and the second coat doesn't even bond to itself. It's a last resort lipstick job before early failure. DIY waste of time and money. Just like Behr Deck over and Rust-Oleum restore a deck.
Naw, it's okay for what it is. Ultimately the wood needs to be replaced. "Film forming coating with blah blah", you sound like a salesman trying to sound like a chemist. But it's fine for a kick the can scenario. Depending on the condition of the wood, you need to clean it to get to good fibers. If it didn't bond it would peel off, hasn't done that yet. 2024 now. Does need redone but damage is from use and abuse-not product failure.
So wrong. If it is done CORRECTLY you will be fine. And it most certainly does adhere to the second coat. lol For some DIY's yes these products are to much for them to take on and they screw it up. Going on 4 years with two coats. No issues.
How hard was it to remove? I have to drop mine to fix those bolt snapping
For the secondary canister. Could i mount both vortex chamber and vapor catch can for lack of better words next to each other and weld a small hose barb for the vapors to go from the vortex to the catch can/over flow? I'm curious as to what happens to the vapor in the vortex can...I'd imagine eventually the pressure needs to bleed off or? Is that what the radiator cap is for on top?...
I think it might work. The exit from the vortex must be center top ( or end of vortex).
The intention is that all the bubbles/vapor go to the canister so the most efficient cooling occurs and there are no locations of vapor inside the engine where you can avoid it. With luck the vapor qill return to liquid or blow off if the pressure gets too high.
The fan is still working well. If the light fails I think it becomes disposable. Again it should be 1k-1.5k lumens. I did have a problem with the plug inside it losing continuity. While geeks say don't mess with a plug, I made the contacts tighter- on for a few more years.
Good luck finding the led puck.
at about 6:04 you point out one of the rings is most important. but you do not indicate which position it is. there are 3 on that piece
You measured from your axle stub..not your balljoint
Forgive my confusing misspeaking. I guess I meant the center of the wheel. 😕
Awesome slow and easy wins the race
I need to turn it on. She's been sitting unused almost 2 years.
I let truck idle spray it wd40 while hot loose up right away dipp it on hot water let it clean and with toothbrush clean it got rid of the 5mph service see dealer
I have a dodge ram pickup same problems from what I see dodge has the most problem of all the pickups and they have recall on these pickups but they don't get the problem fixed tks
I bought this instead of a Ford because it's easier to work on. Almost 400,000 miles for me. I think most of my exhaust problems actually came from a sticky actuator in my turbo.
FYI. There is a spring right inside of where you “heated” it. That spring is most likely toast.
Thanks for the information. Can you give more details? Spring inside the flange? Do you mean inside the DEF injector? I replaced one with my old one. The entire reason I acquired the exhaust was the DEF injector failed so the guy deleted because he didn't want to goto the dealer as he was a self employed carpenter. Parts of the exhaust can see awful high heat.
Great video just what I was looking for.thanks 👌
Appreciate the comment. Hunt the front?
Would you have a video how to remove the trigger?
I don't think so but there's just a pin you push out then the trigger comes right out. I purchased a battery powered metabo HPT nailer. No more compressor, no more air hose. I do miss the larger magazine-20 nails geos real fast.
@@spudth yeah battery operated are nice especially for occasional use as we don't need to fire the compressor. They are heavy though.
@@spudthit’s not just one pin. I got out the first pin easily but I can’t get out the other “spring pins”
Very good and informative video, thank you
I appreciate the positive comments. Brass radiator repair is a lost art today. Most just replace it. This tractor is going strong without a problem!
I’m trying to do this on my ls3. Does it matter if the exit hose on the pot is below the radiator inlet. And should the cap of the pit be the highest point of the cooling system
In a nut shell, the container is a place to accumulate air that may be in your system and to exhaust said air when the air or water gets hot. I would be sure the cap is the high point but barely. You need to be sure there is a way to bleed air from any part of the system that could trap air on its own. You should be able to start an engine with this tank with the lid removed an top up the coolant. Best of luck.
Those chunks are the actual filter 😮
Yes, and I learned it truly is a filter. Nothing is to pass thru it until the soot ash is burned away. But eventually they fail, become plugged, as not all products of combustion get burned away no matter what anyone tells you. This is why commercial trucks get their filters cleaned. Small trucks, they expect us to throw them in the trash and ante up for a new one only from the OEM.
Wait till you have to replace the boards. Trying to un screw the screws is going to be tough!
Thank you for the interest. When it gets to be time that the boards have failed, likely the underlying framework will have deteriorated to a point where it will require replacement. A full and fast demo with complete rebuild will punch the ticket.
It is easy to do - all I did was drill out the holes on a few and wrecker bar the board up. Easy work
Same model I am ordering parts tomorrow and will repair using your help thanks for the video now to find parts
good video ive been replacing o rings on a hitachi nr 90 ae. trigger assembly i didint see any repair video on this gun anyway i still havent got it right

Very helpful, thanks
I couldn't make it more than 2 minutes with that annoying speed up.
Then you for the video and showing the post number to this starter The official db website is maintained by leftists... I couldn't find it... Still have the rig???
Is there a granular texture or is it pretty smooth?
Granular I've heard on other videos
I think gravel or dirt is better than concrete for adjusting toe in. The softer gravel let's the tires rotate without grabbing the way they would on concrete. Alignment jigs have rotary platforms for the tires for that reason.
O finally abandoned this relic and moved to a Heston.
Can you put Deck Correct over scrapped and sanded paint?
I absolutely would. It's time for me to repaint my deck. It may seem a bit soon but considering I started with an aged deck, I'm quite happy.
Thank you for taking the time to make the video...helped a bunch.
What color is that?
I'll have to check. It was a while ago and needs to be recoated. If you do an older deck, prep is everything. Pressure washing to the point of eroding the wood to create adhesion is not a bad idea.
@@spudth any update on the color? thanks.
