You need foaming wasp and hornet spray, not ant and roach. The stuff that shoots out 15-20 feet. Seems I got a two-pack for about $7 and best to spray either when it is cold or, if in the summer, as its getting dark. I didn't wear a mask or goggles but it is advised. Might even keep an epipen or some benedryl handy. Where are you in Western New York?
One time i was about to spray and they had 2 look outs that was staring at me. They was sitting on a shelf. But lucky i seen them

Too tight of an area to go in with and empty can.
Luckily it was a little cool so they were slow. They'd likely have died naturally in a week or so.
