@@youngsumma yes it need constant power and a ignition or auxiliary power as some call it. That way it knows when to turn on and off. But if you have the prefab wiring harness, then you should be good. Also go to IL maestro website and it’ll tell you what wires and colors to use without having to guess or call Crutchfield if you bought it from them, they have the best customer service. Another option is also to just reflash the unit. Maybe it didn’t flash properly the first time I’ve had to refresh mine sometime when it was too hot outside and it would quit, but it would go back to normal.

@@shahidyt add the amp you won’t regret it. Always amp aftermarket speakers or it will sound as it sound be. This way you get the full potential

@@mildaudiophile3879 I have a pioneer after market head unit too, which is 50 watts x 4. The head unit gets plenty load for me, before it starts to distort. I will search for a local dealer, see what they can offer

@@Dhawnasraoui you need to provide power to the module and then have a wire from each separate blinker and reverse wire so each camera gets a individual signal. So you should have 3 separate power trigger wires. Watch the video again. Also make sure the negatives blacks are all hooked up properly as well. Good luck

@@RobHTech yes name brand amps will usually not have noise. It’s the cheap Chinese amps that make noise. Always check the THD noise ratios you want less .001 %

@@Morbecknaga1928 no you need a different connector bc it’s car brand not one size It’s all. You could damage something if you don’t. She’ll take the time and just get the right connector and splice everything the right way. I recommend using Crutchfield because they’ll give you a wiring diagram or you can even pay a little extra and they’ll do it for you.

Honestly, I tried the adapter, and I kept having connectivity issues with the wireless Apple CarPlay. I highly recommend using the GPS antenna that comes with the head unit and placing it up by your mirror so when you put it on your phone mount, it has a shorter distance Also if you have one of those cases that have a magnet on it cut down by 50% and the wireless CarPlay can be very spotty. It’s annoying. Bluetooth works fine and has great range no matter what but the wireless CarPlay has issues if you use the GPS adapter. I know it’s a pain in the butt to have to run, the GPS cable try it out and see if it works fine for you if it doesn’t then run the antenna. Take the extra time to do it in my opinion.

@@mildaudiophile3879 Really appreciate the reply! That’s a bummer on the GPS adapter. I’m running a non Maestro Pioneer 2770NEX, but I’m upgrading to a 4660NEX that is. Honestly, I have an awesome harness from Spiral Audio that does everything except the vehicle data. Maybe I’ll just stick to that and save myself some money. Thank you man!

@@damon323 trust me I tried it the adapter and the WiFi CarPlay was spotty. Plus you can just shove those wires in the headliner without have to take it off. I have other videos that might help your install. I will say if you radio starts to act up or be slow it prob the maestro needing to be reflashed or updated. Mine last 3 years before I had to get a new one.

@@mildaudiophile3879 I believe you man, I'm skipping out on Maestro, especially since you said it only lasted 3 years. I got the Spiral Audio harness that has everything but vehicle data, and it was only $82 and it works perfect. It even stepped the backup cam voltage to 6v as needed in Toyotas.

Are you sure you tapped into the right wire? You’re supposed to provide power to the module and then power from your right signal for the right camera to turn on and then power from your left signal for your left camera to turn on so you’re gonna have three circuits to module to power it up and the other ones are to signal when the camera is turned on.

@@mildaudiophile3879does this prevent the turn signals from showing a flashing image if I use this to install reverse cams as turn signal blinker lights?

He you tried reprogramming it? Mine did they same thing but I reflashed and it worked if the module is old then it just might be time to replace it
