That thumbnail, tho! Got ME to click, lol.
I would say check out the new version of this set from Alpine, include the 6x9s, and the 3” midrange which also has 3/4 inch tweeter mounted on it😎👌
From what Ive read those dont sound all that great unamplified compared to other brands. Have you installed the Alpines in an unamplified system?
@@Mtfarmboy24 not the 6x9 and 3” 3-way set, but we did the 6 1/2 components up front and 6 1/2 coaxles in rear powered by alpine w650 head unit and they sounded really good and then we amplified them with the small 4 channel amp and they sounded like $300 component sets, real bang for the buck👍
Great Job!, I was just about to pick up a set of these for my 2022 Subaru Legacy XT,---The problem I always fight is the location of the door mid bass and the spot in the dash for either a mid-range/Tweeter. On my last car I had the Infinity Kappa 2 way and mid range was lacking, It felt like it was just highs on dash and lows below and did not blend well. I ended up making it a 3 way and it helped fill in the vocals. I was looking at this set because I don't like harsh tweeters and I like hearing good vocals without tweeters killing my ears. But now you have me thinking I would just be missing the Higher frequency of a crisp tweeter. In terms of hooking up using both speakers on one channel is >Amp to Crossover> On the crossover there's One input and 2 outputs to each 6 x9 and tweeter? I emailed kicker, they claim it still keeps a 4ohm load on amp .I wonder if this is true when you tie them together in parallel. What Amp (how much power a channel) are you using to power these fronts?
Rd400/4. I have them all off 1 channel but I recommend putting the midrange and tweeter on 1 channel and 6x9 on another. I e heard the kappa perfect 600 are the best speakers for the price
What year is the Tundra?
