I use the NVX baffles on both my 6"x9" fronts and 6.5" backs, and they work incredibly well. I was blown away by how much of a difference these baffles made in improving the low-to-mid range sounds in my vehicle.
Thanx for the video,I literally canceled my order I made and switched to NVX
Happy to help
I bought the slim boom mat baffle and cut it in half. It acts like a roof and prevent water droplet go into the speaker.
Also, all the wire connect are tightly wrapped by waterproofing tape.
your why was literally like 5 words. But I understood you. Just wanting to confirm what I already had in place. Thanks!
Nice detailed review. Agree with everything. I believe both brands are useful vs none at all. So I highly recommend using them for their metal door / speaker flange gasketing affect + their rear, in-door dust/dirt/H20 protection. 👍
Why would you want it to stay folded? Isn't it suppose to seal up against the door panel so all your sound is being pushed out rather than leaking in between the door panel and baffle? My biggest concern would be that they don't press up against the door panel or if they at too tall that they don't fold over into the speaker, but I guess thats why the outer flap is flared outwards. I have the NVX baffles as well and they do feel solid, I still need to install my system but I'm hoping I didn't make the mistake of not going with the fast rings instead. BTW I'm also a fan of the Infinity speakers but I went with the 90CSX Kappas. How are the perfects?
Some speakers protrude out more than others and hits the door panel so in order to combat that you can fold these back and make them sit flush with the panel. The purpose of a door baffle is to channel all the sound into the cab and not into the door panel. I’m in love with Infiniti Cap perfect I’ve reviewed and listen to a lot of speakers and for the money these hang with the bigger name brand SQ manufactures. I will be reviewing more infinity kappa products in the future. Hope this helps thanks.
I think that you are supposed to trim size. Same way you would if you decided to use foam rings
@@mildaudiophile3879 they're supposed to sit out further than needed so the door panel will compress it when you put it back on and "self adjust" the baffle.
Yea I don't see how that is a negative at all that is exactly how they are designed to work... Honestly it would be worse if they DID fold over and stayed like that
Cool build!!! Will this improve stock speakers?
Thanks for the info and review
What did you have to do with door trim panel ?
Ive got tacoma going from 6x9 to 6.5 round . The speakers ,adapters and baffles all installed fine. The problem is the back of door trim panel .An incredibly over engineered piece of plastic that has ridges and tabs to seal the factory 6x9 against back of door trim with no leakage . These round rubber baffles do not match .
Did you have to modify door trim and remove ridges to get good seal ?
Depends on how deep the speaker is but I just move the speaker til it cleared everything. The baffle does hit a bit but nothing that affects sound quality
Said he can't really say nothing bad about them but just made a whole video of saying bad things about them
What speakers is it?
