these sound killer when run active with a ton of power on them. the 3 way set for the money right now is a fantastic deal. and I've run multi thousand dollar components. are they THE best imo no but they are up there and sound fantastic. they simple destroy the previous perfect set
@@mildaudiophile3879 all depends on the application you are working with. i personally tend to prefer my mids sealed in an enclosure they dont need to be but i like to try to install them that way. my personal application one had them in custom fiberglass pods on the a pillar along with the tweeter. i did spend a lot of time aiming them and testing with my rta to get them where i want them. my other application i mounted them in the floor near the kickpanel along with a 8" sub next to them. then the tweet is up higher. again spent time with the rta and alignment. the only part that i wish they changed besides the size of the crossover is the tweeter. its def not at all a bad tweeter but i tend to prefer a larger soft dome personally. in your application what i have done before for a larger mid is make a ring from plexi or mdf and wrap it in matching vinyl and mounted that to the dash and then the mid into the slightly raised ring this gave me the depth and i did not have to mod the dashboard since they wanted to keep it stock. if you didnt know they didnt belong there you would not even know.
Does this set sound better then the precious 6.5 Kappa component set? Considering purchasing these new ones as I already have the previous model. Worth the upgrade for $300?
I agree but right now I’m going have to go passive I will eventually go active. These speakers deserve it. I have the 300M and going to install today. Hopefully it sounds good in passive 3-way. I’ve seen you setup and it’s that my ultimate goal.
They still make kappa perfects? I have them in my car from 2005. The 6.5 bass is excellent and deep, but tweeters are crap bright. They last forever though. I have them running on 200rms x2 Kenwood excelon amp.
I replaced hearts Mille for these I’m running 3 way on front amd 2 way on rear with a mosconi gladden amp 200 rms per channel and it sounds clear and loud

60CSX is what I bought, but looks like the 60CSX's on crutchfield is discontinued?! I wasn't sure if that back magnet would fit in my doors for the perfect's. I'd like to hear how they sound👌🏼
They are sold out now but I’m sure you can still find them. The the perfects are the flagship but if you have the jbl stadiums they should be the same as the regular kappas.

As someone who installs perfect, where do you mount the midrange? Does it require custom mounts?

Yeah infinity kappas sound good... I have all 6 by 8 and will be running a helix mini dsp

yeah they are good midbass but the tweeter is overly aggressive and bright. im using a different set of speakers now
