All 4 Zones of the Edinburgh Christmas Markets 2023
When I lived in Bathurst, I was told, you know, when it is going to snow because it gets a little warmer. We were in Orange for the day. It got warmer and snowed. Beautiful, I love it ❄️ You're probably back here now, enjoy the humidity 😅
Yes have made it back to Sunshine Coast and enjoying the sunshine 🌞
Wow that guess though 😂
Too good 👍
Soooo cool 😍😍😍you guys must be locals for getting through without the long line 😉
Secret local knowledge or just cheeky 🤣
You almost missed 😍😍😍
❄️⛄
It would be nice if we had proper Christmas markets here in Western Australia. Thanks for sharing.
Christmas markets in Australia definitely have a different feeling. Thanks for watching ☺️
Sooo sad i can’t be there this year! My most favourite city on the planet❤
Well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💕
Thanks 😄
Why not put in a wide threshold doormat section - that's what I have, and it means you can wipe your feet as you come in!
Thanks for watching ☺️
What a beautiful place. 😍
It certainly is!! Thanks for watching 😊
How spectacular ❤❤❤ should have left the stray behind 😅
Nah, she's a keeper 😂
How magical! ❤😍
☺️🚶🏻♂️🚶🏾♀️🚶⛰️🌲☔
Hi guys, I don't know how sheltered the garden is, but you have a good chance the wind will rip your fence in any storm since there is no gaps in between the slats. Love your channel, BTW
Thanks for your concern and for watching our videos This section of the yard is sheltered from the wind. Also, as the wood dries out, the gaps will appear. I made a similar fence back in Australia that experienced big winds, and it held up for the 15 years I was in that house.
5 hundred ISH??? 50 seconds in and you are breaking my heart Bro.
What broke your heart around the 50-second mark? Was it the depth or digging under the concrete? I didn’t dig under the building's foundations, if that’s what you were worried about. I ended up digging that hole to a depth of about 600mm, and the concrete I referred to, was made up of chunks in the ground. If I had removed all of it, I would have needed 10 bags to fill the hole. In the end, it only took 2 (20kg) bags. The flaring at the bottom is to ensure it doesn’t pop out of the ground if it freezes over.
Carpet would not have been my choice. Too hard to keep clean
We still may change it... however we originally thought carpet would be good for warmth and sound proofing. Thanks for watching ☺️
I love your videos and especially your very positive attitudes! 💙💕💙
Thanks 😊
That is a fabulous shed! Did you need planning permission for that?
From my understanding, I did not need planning permission as it falls under permitted development. The main things I had to consider was, staying under 2.5 metres high and where it sat on the property.
@@taylors-explore ok thanks! It’s such a minefield in Edinburgh! I’m thinking of doing my shed like that. The previous one the criminals put their foot through.
Now I want to build a podcast studio.
😊
Looks great!
Thanks 👍🏻 and thanks for watching
Haha love the TimTam demonstration 😂
It was our international obligation to share the life changing experience of Tim Tams...
Make sure your shed is vermin proof, lots of rats in Edinburgh.
Good advice 👍🏻 thanks
Oh noooo last of the timtams 😂
Lucky we found that Tesco sells them
Specialist at hired help Jackstarrr also the Boss 😅
Boss lady approves ☺️
Carpet specialist: Josh 😎 guys love the 🧦 🧦 🤣

Hello, We are also diy renovating in Edinburgh 😅 Do you want to get in touch?
Good luck with your reno. Have you been recording your progress? Renovating can be a hair pulling or happy experience. Happy to share some tips if you need any ☺️
You are just amazing my heroes you just get on with it. We have just moved to Errol. We had lots of fly paper in the 1950. We have lots of new bedding and new toilet and other stuff if you need it. Good luck. ❤
Thanks for the offer and thanks for watching 😊
I would have done flooring not carpets in case of flooding in future. But as you are doing it I hope they won't be too hard to keep clean.
Thanks for watching ☺️
Looking good!that brought memories back when I though that it can’t be that difficult to lay carpet. Yeah I learned the hard way. Is there a reason you laid carpet instead of say, laminate?
No real reason why we chose carpet over laminate... we just made a choice and did it 😀 thanks for watching
Can’t wait to see the end result! Well done guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💙💙
Thanks 😊 still a few things to finish off, but we are fairly pleased with the results 🙂
Great video ! Isaac says it looks nice and that he is missing you guys ❤️
Thanks Jo, Isle of Skye is an amazing place to visit. Missing you all too ❤️
Between the dryer and the light fixture giving safety I think that is how many shelves or space for them. Everything is looking good so far and seeming more near the finish line not sure why you are keeping stuff I would get rid unless you are using them later.
We have done several dump runs since filming the video and just keeping tools and essentials. Thanks for watching ☺️
*edit* have never knew.. remove the "have"
all good 😊👍🏻
Good find! i live in Edinburgh and have never knew about that route to the seat :)
Thanks for watching ☺️
What a transformation it’s starting to come together
Thanks for watching 😊
What’s that area like for noise?
Like most places, generally ok 😊
Keys... Jim ?
??? ☺️
@@taylors-explore Jim Searle
Or Graeme Barker ☺️
The place is going to look great.
Thanks ☺️
Put in a high shelf for Xmas decorations, etc.
Thanks for the excellent idea 💡 🎄
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks for watching 😊
Please keep those lovely internal doors
No sorry, we didn't keep the doors... Thanks for watching ☺️
Can i ask where u guys got ur lining paper from ive never seen paper that wide. Ive been on a decorating kick and this would be helpful hehe thanks keep up the good work.
We got our lining paper from Screwfix. We started with 1000mm when we did the cupboard but changed to the smaller rolls as it would more readily available and easier to manage.
Move to Edinburgh to live the picturesque life in granton.
Ha ha, yep living the dream 😀 thanks for watching ☺️
The flat is looking fantastic. All credit to your hard work!
Thanks and thanks for watching 🙂
Is Edna Samoan? Talofa from another Samoan living in Edinburgh alofas would like to meet other Samoans in Edinburgh :)
Yeah, she is Samoan, but has already headed back to Australia. We miss her !! Thanks for watching 😊
Sorry Derek, yeap, next time i will make sure to hit you up for a special Samoan welcome in Edinburgh
Vailima!!!!
😊
Love the project, just cringing slightly with putting in bolts with a drill, especially on full power. You’re bound to crack plastic at some point doing that.
Thanks for watching 😊
found you guys and really been enjoying the series as it was cool seeing you guys live in edinburgh, but i didnt expect you guys to go to the morrisons outside the college i go to! safe to say that was a pleasant surprise, hope you guys are enjoying the process and the house is looking great 😁
