    Please respond I just bought this bike preassembled from Walmart but the front tire sounds like it’s rubbing on the brakes just slightly yet I don’t see anything touching. Is this the same for you? I’ve never had an e bike so idk if it’s normal

    • @InfiniteMishaps
      @InfiniteMishaps 2 дні тому

      Mine did not rub on this bike, but I have had bikes that have done that before. I would ride it a while and see if it goes away. You may need to loosen the bolts that hold the brake caliper on and realign it with the rotor. Basically, you back those bolts off then press the front brake lever and then tighten them back down. This is how I have done this on my other bikes. Before you do that though, I would take the front wheel off and put it back on. Sometimes the skewer is just too tight and causes the front wheel to not spin as freely as it should.

    Shimano mt200 brakes, nice flat pedals, and a new saddle and grips make this feel about as nice as most DTC ebikes with hub motors and tourney 7 speed groupsets. With new bars and stem I made one into a nice upright cruiser for my dad. With the brakes and touch points upgraded it feels like a much nicer bike than the $700 I spent to buy and personalize it. An entry level suspension fork from SR suntour would make it a nice mtb. The lack of derailleur clutch will suck, get a chain stay protector. A 27.5" x 2.25" tire will fit i'm pretty sure. Be sure to inspect the old tube to see what caused the flat! If it was too low on pressure you probably have a snake bite puncture.

    • @InfiniteMishaps
      @InfiniteMishaps 12 днів тому

      @@stephenartner I’ve found with this bike the gear selection doesn’t matter much. It will climb at a steady clip as long as you are pedaling. Really the selection of gear only impacts how much effort you want to put in on top of the motor output. You won’t go much faster, but you will get a better workout using higher gears while going up hill/down hill.

      The two eride mountains I had (which have the same motor I believe) did the same. I found it happened most when I stood up on the pedals and pedaled hard. My eride city does have little tick but not like the eride mountains did. You could pull the crank arms and reseat them. That said I returned my eride mountains and kept the eride city. For that reason and a for lack of confidence in the stock suspension.

After I checked it out, it looks like the crank is loose on that side. Would this be enough for an exchange? Or should I take to a shop to adjust? Thank you so much for the detailed review. I'm homeless and waiting to move into my apartment but it is 5 miles from my current job. I'm not very fast on a regular bike and I need something more reliable concerning time because I go in to work early. Your reviews are really, really helpful! 🙏🏻

    You do great informative videos. I bought a Concord 27.5 inch step over but it was returned by someone and they didn't return the owner's manual with it. Nowhere I can find online has it. It would be nice to see a video of your owner's manual so I know what's what and part numbers and where to order. Thanks if you can I would appreciate it.
