I'm with you, I'm hoping 11 turns on the others. I'm still not sure Front Man knows that his cohort is taking bodies on the black market, it all seems entirely too under the table if he was in on it. Maybe 11 goes to Front Man, who finds it insulting somehow. Or maybe she slowly uses her position to make things harder for the team. Orrrrr maybe she becomes a spy for the players. Not sure yet. I loved this season, it stood up surprisingly well to the first one. Only thing I didn't like was ending on a cliff hanger, but I get it.

needing lights on and off is a human thing. Not a computer thing The lights on them off as a strategy move. By Bernard. the AI would have no need or no reason. to assume that it needed to turn the lights off to trick humans. Bernard knew that the power being on in it. would cause people to be suspicious. Computers do not take human suspicious. into account in calculations. Also, I did not predict. it just informed. the a delta level event was happening. in the silo.

He is probably Solo's son since you need to be confirmed as shadow by AI inside the vault. So Solo made him his son shadow of the shadow because no one else can be the shadow if AI does not recognize you. All these shows are now focusing on this big mystery reserved only for the last moment, like in Dune Prophecy and bunch of other shows.

7:53 Electricity. What if Lucas is already relaying info to Mechanical? He found out that Judicial and IT has an outside link when he was in Barnard's office and somehow relayed that to Mechanical? They took that info and crafted the message for the confetti launcher and then shut off the power.

I still don't understand if the 'Solo is from outside' theory stands, how did he get into the vault and lock the (presumably real Solo) out. The legacy is not the AI, it's the archive. Think about it, the word legacy means things left for successors, which one is more suitable for that title, the knowledge or a computer?

I don’t know for sure, but I also believe that Solo does not have access to the legacy. I think you’re right about his knowledge being limited to the books. It was very cool to see Lucas get to use the AI, since it clearly has a knowledge base beyond his wildest dreams. Also, I agree that it was weird that the AI knew there was a problem but didn’t turn off the power to disguise that it had another source, since the system is set up so that most people don’t know the IT head is in charge. It was also weird that it referred to Bernard as “mayor” when everything we’ve seen shows that the mayor is more of a figurehead and Bernard’s true power comes from his position in IT.

There is only food in the vault how would another person eat? This is critical without that figured out you have zero. The bends is a real thing and she will suffer from them. It’s a hatchet not an axe. The Wizard of Oz is a story about a man controlling a town from behind the curtain, a true charlatan ( Bernard) he also escapes from the town in a hot air balloon before the angry crowd goes after him.

A couple of observations: - The symbol delta (Δ) is widely used across various scientific fields to denote change or difference. Maybe the Legacy AI is informing the head of IT about a deviation from the most probable course of events as documented in "The Order." - I don't know anything about the bends, but I sure do know that an untrained person cannot hold their breath for as long while engaging in physical activity, such as swimming quickly to the surface from such a depth. - I’m surprised that Bernard acts so condescendingly in a direct confrontation with Simms; that motherf***er looks like he could knock him out with a single punch. - When fake Solo was entering the vault pin, It was 4 digits, but Bernard is entering a six digit code. - I don't buy that the battery in that tablet is still working after 350 or so years.

When solo said, don't ascend quickly while diving deep underwater to prevent decompression sickness, but i think decompression sickness causes if you dive deep and breathe compressed air from tank, but she is not breathing compressed air, she is breathing pumped air from surface which has normal pressure.

It's possible that Solo came from another silo. I don't see how he would have come alone, though. Maybe the collapse of silo 17 was an invasion. The character that I believe came from another silo is Judge Meadows. She seemed to have knowledge that didn't fit with the education in silo 18. She'd turned down the chance to shadow Barnard in IT. So, she hadn't seen the legacy? Another thing with Meadows is that she seemed to be wiser and more experienced than Barnard.

Solo could have been from 17 for all your theories to work. He could have been a descendant of survivors that didn't go out. I think he lived on that floor because passage was demolished and he was scared to cross it. If he had been from another silo who entered later, he would have had a system to cross.

Solo was the kid in the flashbaacks.

I'm afraid to post any guesses because I read the book years ago and don't remember them at all well so I have no idea what is a guess based on the show and what is a spoiler from my subconscious.

I have NOT read any of the books, and I'm convinced that Lucas will become the New Villain. The point being that Power Corrupts. As for Juliette, I'm hoping that she returns to Silo 18 from the corridors down below. And, I see the Sims' as a Macbeth-style villains, who will actually kill Bernard.

My wife falls asleep every episode. Really interesting show, but throw us a fucking bone! Especially with only one episode a week, lame.

I feel that the cause for the quick body decay might be due the actual reason why the world ended which it wasn’t nuclear at least not at first. ..Solo not being from solo 17 is absolutely possible.

Judge Meadows deciphered the 115 year old message but couldn't tell Bernard. It affected her so badly she left for 4 days and came back and quit and drowned herself in alcohol, eventually was committed to "ending" her prison sentence. "I didn't dare tell you the truth" IT is being strung along like puppets just like the rest of the silo.

People on reddit deciphered the code on the computer I dont if this is considered a spoiler but it reads THE PACT IS RIGGED TO THOSE FELT THE CHOSEN ONES BUT ???? ??? THE FOUNDERS DIDNT BUILD A SINGLE SILO THEY BUILT FIFTY AND THEY CREATED THE SAFEGUARD

There’s something in this episode that confused me. I’m not going to say whether it also happened in the books or not, only that if it did it wasn’t explained there either. You ready to hear it? Okay, here goes. I don’t understand why Bernard is so set on Lucas decoding the letter, to the point where he makes Lucas his shadow so he can give him access to the legacy. Bernard knows more about cryptography than Lucas and he’s had access to the legacy for a long time, so it seems like he would be able to crack the code more easily than Lucas. And while it could be argued that Bernard doesn’t have time to decode the letter while dealing with the rebellion, there’s no reason that letter should be urgent for him to figure out. It’s been there for 140 years and the Silo has been okay. Bernard can go a little longer without knowing what’s in it while he deals with the rebellion. Bernard knows Lucas was sympathetic enough to Juliette not to turn her in when he knew she was breaking the law. That was the whole reason he sent him to the mines. And now that he’s done that he knows Lucas has a reason to be unhappy with him. He also knows that Lucas is scared of him because Lucas knows he can strip him of his shadow position at any time and send him back to the mines or out to clean, but even so, it seems like an unnecessary risk to make Lucas basically the second most important person in the silo so Lucas can do something that Bernard could do himself. I don’t get it.

I don't think Lucas will betray Bernard as you theorize.....i feel like he's the perfect shadow. He seems loyal and principled

During the era of 22 episodes they're were several episodes that were kinda mid or unnecessary.....in the era of 6 - 8 episodes we've come to expect every episode to carry a huge weight..... so I think we should cut this episode some slack.

This whole season is dragging so badly. The storyline is like 2 episodes worth of stuff happening in 6 episodes

He could've just brought the recovered file to the AI and killed Lucas. 4:45 If Bernard dies before he decides to kill Lucas, then Lucas will survive. 8:15 Keeping weapons for the next rebellion is a bit of a waste of resources and waiting for trouble. If they need weapons, they can craft them when they actually need them, but keeping them around requires them to be on high alert all the time in case raiders come in. And those don't look like high end weapons, there's really no need to save them. Rebellion did happen many times, but I doubt that people would pass down knowledge of rebel movements, since every time it happens, the mechanical suffers. Knox said he sort of guessed it based on the writings on the wall, that's the only thing passed down from previous rebellions. Eps 6 dropped the tension in the second half, and that lack of Juliette and Solo's scenes kind of creates a void for audiences like watching a Transformer film with very little Transformers in it, yes the show is about the silo but people do like to see more of the hero character in the story when they watch the story.

I just watched Pete Peppers video and now Q-dads’. Neither mentioned the parallels between Knox and Amundsen on the stairs with the sheriff and raiders from silo 17 in episode 1.

Juliette will need to drain the silo completely before she can reach the tunnel. The siloes don't seem to be directly connected, though. Silo 18 would also have a water issue if they were. I thought that there are power connections to judicial and IT from outside. Are those tunnels or just power lines? I enjoyed this episode. Most storylines make good progress. The rebels gained 10 floors, Mrs Sims going her own way, just as Dr Nichols and Billings. Bernard gets desperate as all his plans seem to backfire. I think there's something in his manual about the Sheriff choosing sides because that upset him quite a lot...

Underwhelming! It was one of best IMO. Intrigue and backstabbing within judicial! The Sims vs Bernard! Luke becoming Bernard’s Shadow! The initiation of the rebellion and negotiation resulting in gaining a farm. Billings and Dr Nichols picking a side. Billings overcoming The Syndrome! Billings realizations and protection of Knox and Shirley. And so own…

Sorry I didn’t watch this at first. I didn’t get around to watching episode 5 until last night (US Central Time) and then I watched episode 6 right after. So, now it’s hard to remember where one episode ends and another begins, at least when it comes to the Silo 18 action, so I can’t even comment on this that much. Lots of great discussion in this video though. I enjoy hearing your Solo theories. Also, when you come out with your episode 6 video, I’ll be interested in hearing your thoughts on Lucas, if not in the video then in the comments. Looking forward to it.
