I’ve been on a spiral of watching amputation videos because I am about to have an above knee amputation and I happened to see your #crps and that is exactly why I’m getting mine amputated. Is there any advice?

I hope ur doing well,followed ur journey 3 yrs ago,wen u were getting socket cast.U stopped updating.Do u walk un assisted now.Just curious,im a AK also for 6months,just recently had my 1st fitting,and rehab gait training,very difficult,only trust paralbars atm.

I will be picking up my prosthetic here this next week, and I have been AKR since August 17,2023. I am so ready for more freedom. I am curious, do you drive? I need to get back to driving, as I don't have anyone else. My son is 15 almost 16 but he's high functioning autistic and probably won't ever be ready to drive, at least not in the near future. I would love to connect with you somehow and get a crash course on things if that would be ok with you? God Bless you and your journey.

Your such a strong lady. You have alot of courage. First time seeing someone walk with a amputation on crutches and can get yourself in a truck by yourself. Amazing. Good luck on your new artificial leg your about to get. I no there,s a different name for what you tried on but forget it now so sorry if didn't say it right but you understand what I mean. I am so grateful to find this video. I have CRPS in my left leg it took three years to diagnose me and they have tried just about everything you have tried minus the SCS or drug pump or ketamine since ketamine is not covered where I live. I have been begging for an amputation since May 2023 when my leg completely stopped working but my doctors haven't agreed yet because I still have a pulse. This video gives me a little bit of hope that it is possible so thank you.

Looking at the possibility of amputation, injured when i was 16.5, im 20 now, its scary and I honestly dont know what to expect

Your doing good! Im a new amputee myself i was T boned May 04 2022 by a 1 ton truck on my motorcycle and lost my left leg i have half my knee cap. Ive had many complications with my prosthetic and socket this past year and i dont know alot about it. Its been a learning curve this past year, but i was curious to why it is your orthotics specialist ofset your prosthetic from the socket? Mines mounted center of the end of my stump. Is there pros and cons to why they did yours this way?

First time seeing your video I must truly appreciate seeing the joy in your face. I'm also experiencing a amputation above-the-knee on my right side as well. I haven't been to a amputation specialist . But I know that it feels good to be able to take that Walk again Congratulations 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 you doing well and too see that y'all are both happy and thankful that you have a good prosthetic doctor. I’ve gone trough a stroke ad an amputation including as a fodder I’m on my third effort and learning to walk again keep the determination but think on your toddler years it takes that kind of time and learning curve
