Thanks Bryce! This is the most practical real world review I've seen so far on UA-cam. You had me on the limitations using the focus motor in vertical mode. I am glad you found a work-around to remedy the issue. If it wasn't for your vertical camera solution mentioned in the video, I probably would've just stop down the aperture to F5.6 or F8 for a garaunteed wider zone focus, adjust shutter and ISO. I've never own an electronic gimbal (I am upgrading from an old fashion physics based glidecam from 2011). I was about to go with the RS4 but after watching your video, I have a better idea the differences between the RS4 and RS4 "Pro". Sooo back to the drawing board. I may look into the RS2, or RS3 Pro gimbals to save some money.

I bought mine and returned it immediately because its soo contrasty and there is no option to tweak the colors, you would need to spend money to buy some sort of an adapter to connect it to your pc to be able to make changes. I kept my Desview monitor which was way cheaper and I can simply make changes. I was extremly disappointed on the Atomos which I think people buy just for the name.

I have a VERY similar setup Nikon Z6/Nikkor Z 14-30mm f4. I am about to try this setup too. I need this to work, I do Real estate photo/videos for hundreds of houses

Counter Weights! Buy yourself some counter Weights to add more weight to the right side of the gimbal. You can also ditch the quick release plate and use a normal plate to bring the camera into the center more. There is nothing wrong with the gimbal, you just need to counter your payload. Simple fix.

Can I ask a question to some awesome knowledgeable commenter here? I’m super confused about something…. I have an FX30. To shoot in log, I understand I how to change it in “log settings,” yada yada yada. But what’s the deal with Picture Profile via Exposure menu? Can’t I also shoot in log going this route? When I change to log shooting in log settings, picture profile is greyed out. Is picture profile just so you can plug in an additional monitor? Can someone explain this to me? Sorry for being a dingbat. 🙏🙏

I have this issue with balancing the camera upwards when connecting the focus motor. My rs3 pro and the adapter was much better

Don’t cage it up when going vertical and try it out. R5 with Tamron 24-70mm works fine for me. I had to really be tight with pushing the camera all the way over on the base plate.

bro! i just bought this today and I am a fx3 with cage user and have also been using the Rs2 pro since its release...and I am probably sending this thing back tomorrow because of all of the same things you're saying...there is one other thing which is a major problem which you didn't mention...which is actually what led me to your video because I'm trying to find a solution. On the RS2 Pro if you have the original focus motors that it came with...i used to use those for zoom and a feature it has is SMOOTHING on the focus motor in the gimbal menu! Why in the world do they not have this one the RS4! The zoom now is terrible! Anyway...glad I'm not the only one thinning this gimbal is a bit of a downgrade or at least not much of an upgrade from the RS2 Pro.

The first problem that you are Having in justifying the purchase is you referring to it as a monitor it is not just a monitor it is a recorder
