Yes, us Giants fans are hoping for the same. To be honest, I’m very envious of the Dodgers ownership group. It’s the best in baseball and I could respect that because of their desire to win.

I think they need to be in a position to do something quickly and don’t wait too long. Otherwise they will miss out not just on Burnes, but any of the players you mentioned as well.

It's already that, lol. There is nothing any NL West team can feasibly do at this point this off-season where they won't be looking up at the Dodgers to start next year. If they get Roki, Scott, and Kim(the other players they're in on), this team is unquestionably the best team baseball will see in a while.

I totally agree. It’s the Dodgers pennant to lose. I don’t think anyone comes close to them in the NL West.

DePaula and Hope are about two years away, so the timeline makes sense. Year 3, Teoscar will start declining as those two are coming up, and come 2028, the OF is theirs along with Rushing.

As much as I'd love that as a Dodger fan, I don't see the fit anymore. Teoscar in LF, Edman in CF, and Conforto in RF is our OF. Pages will spend some time platooning with Edman and Conforto, and Rushing could debut this year. Taylor is also still on the roster.

It felt like he was going to stay with the Dodgers all along, even though I wish the Giants can sign some of these free agents who are signing for lesser deals. Not all guys want 7, 8, or more yr deals. The Giants may have to stop waiting for Burnes and look to other free agents. Santander is still out there

These things are cyclical, but the Giants and Dodgers goes back to the 1880s. It’s a historic rivalry where the Giants are down right now but if you want to try and talk Smack, the Giants still have three full season World Series titles in the last 15 years and the Dodgers only have one full season World Series title since 1988. If you’re going to have recency bias, then I just pointed out that the Giants actually own the Dodgers when it comes to the most World Series Titles in the last 35 years. But I have no problem saying the Dodgers are dominating the Giants right now. I can respect that.

Really bad time to be mentioning rivalry when one team has literally been best team in the last decade and the giants struggle to finish .500 !! For teams to have a rivalry they have to be competitive. Giants have been irrelevant for years !! Padres are the NEW rivalry for the Dodgers.....

I LOVE to hate the GIANTS. My two favorite teams are the Doyers and whoever is playing AGAINST the Giants. I know, the new best rivalry is now Dodgers/Padres. But, it just isn't the same. It's like big brother vs. little brother. Us in Los Angeles don't really HATE the Padres. But we all do HATE the Giants. I miss the rivalry. 🫤
