Hi Dave. Again, after a long time, a beautiful video, my friend. I am still amazed by the beautiful contrast in your work. This is so beautiful and buttery soft, I really enjoy watching it. 6x17 at 24mm worked well. This was sort or a nostalgic video because the first video I watched of yours, "Processing RAW in Affinity Photo," was the same scene, also showing your process in the software.

Lesson learned for me! Don't plan a nature shot! React! I'd neve bother with LF! Ever! I quit my Linhof 50" years ago. Nice video.

I have told you before but you have one of the best eyes for the details shots that I have seen on youtube. Don't know if that comes out of your journalist background where one looks for something to highlight the topic or just that you have a great internal sense. But you got some really fine photos.

100% with you. I’m thinking in black and white since art classes at school. Always preferred to do ink drawings instead of colour paintings. Do you use a monochrome converted camera or turn it into black and white in post?

I feel your challenge, as I always say,:" what you see today might not be there tomorrow ". I can spend days on or at a preserved crime scene, but one always feels like you missed something. What would work the best is if one can spend a few seasons at a precise location, no warranty of success. For this location a drone might save you some heavy hauling, or hauling of the right equipment for the day. As for myself and in my country this type of outing has a 90%+ chance of one becoming a victim of serious crime, regardless of the value of your gear.

Some really inspirational images. I also love photographing trees.
