Hi Dave.
Another great video, friend.
When I see you at work everything seems so simple from easy.
Your compositions are so good because they are simple.
I'm getting more and more respect for the work you make.
Even if you say it yourself it is not always gallery proof.
And I really mean this, friend.
You show that simplicity is important to make a good composition.
Thank you for this video I really enjoyed watching it.
And give Shela a cookie from me, will you?
A friendly Dutch greeting,
Antoine.
Thank you Antoine, you are so kind, and yes I will give my little girl a treat from you, she is a special one for sure!
Great video, Dave. I really enjoyed watching it.
Thank you Terry!
Nice video and images David. Love the daisies!
Thank you
Love what you are doing. You have the eye for sure. Thank you.
Thank you Louise
Once again you managed to get some really beautiful images!!
Thank you Robert!
I do like the daisy images the best
Often the simplest ones are the best ones!
Some of those older lenses are magic
And amazingly affordable Lol I added a couple more very compact old primes to my lens lineup this week, looking forward to taking them out for some photos!
Nice walk and inspiring images. Nikon mirrorless user here .Thank you I enjoy your videos much appreciated .
Thank you!
Wonderful set of images David, those Nikon lenses are getting some good use great glass, love your processing of these images.
Thanks Mick, it’s been a lot of fun combining fairly new tech with some old to make images, sense I don’t do a lot of action photography there’s really no reason not to use these old lenses
Photos great as usual. You have an especially good eye for those detail shots. One of the great things about mirrorless cameras is the ability to adapt some really neat glass to them. Thanks again for your time and presentation.
Thank you Erich, it’s been very enjoyable adapting lenses to a mirrorless camera, it’s been fun exploring a new way for me to make photos.
Nice outing Dave. Interesting how that nikon lens performed on your camera body.👍👍
Thanks Terry!
Great set of images and video David! Every time I see you near that bend in the trail, I'm always wondering whatever happened to that maple leaf? I don't know if that's the same bend, but it seems like you talked about it there once, so in my mind, that's where it lives! Lol!
Thanks Brent, yes, that maple leaf was taken out by a late winter snow storm, I was sad to see it go, I would have loved to have got a couple more shots.
Nice work nice tones Dave. I think your words 'not everything has to be a photograph...' sometimes you just make it. i'm paraphrasing the exact words here but how I relate to it and think what you meant is sometime you as a visual artist work within in the limits, present opportunities and I would add, it's not always about waiting ever with the photograph, the perfect one, it's all part of the craft and it's important just to make an exposure. I work with film and paper. negative so at times in my technique it's more of a commodity, in both large format and pinhole. I subscribed and enjoyed this video. Keep up your muse!
Thank you Jim and thanks for stopping by the channel and introducing yourself, I have a soft spot in my heart for film photography, until about 6 months ago I made most of my BW images with film but unfortunately for financial reasons I’ve had to set that aside for awhile, maybe someday I will be able to revisit that way of working :)
@@seeingmonochrome You're welcome Dave! Film is very special. I was away from it for nearly 40 years because I thought it died plus another muse I was involved. I got a realization was very much alive about 2 years ago and came back to it. It can be expensive these days though I mainly do b/w and do several DIY approaches one being homemade developer (Caffenol) and currently exposed for most part on enlarging paper instead of film, meaning a paper negative. I do large format and pinhole. So there are ways to save but if doing color it can get expensive. Anyhow your attn to detail and attn to light is what it's about!
