Man... I feel ya on these new parts. I remember a time I replaced an alternator right before I left to HRPT 2022 in my wife's 86 Mustang to be safe. Got to the first stop and the dang thing stopped working. Thank goodness for a nice guy 😉 in a red F350 that took me to three different auto-parts stores until we found a replacement alternator. Not only was it hard to believe a new alternator went out that fast but how hard it was to find a alternator for such a common combination like a Ford 5.0.
@@frizzellracing yep! I even spent extra on the "higher quality" alternator in attempt to not have that problem. It didn't matter, less than 200 miles and it was fried.
I don't personally care for the newer cars either. I call them parts cars. LOL But I don't hate on them to their owners. I am that guy that drives old stuff every day and I have built my vehicles. It also takes a while to get a project vehicle done too so that also detours people getting into this hobby. My newest thing I have is a 2000 Excursion. I rebuilt the drivetrain and Cummins swapped it. I daily drive a 71 Camaro with a 5.3 and a Super T10 or a 72 K30 Chevy with a p pumped 24v with compound turbos. I can see where the newer cars would be nice. There is something to be said to have all the creature comforts, reliability, and nice ride. Sometimes you need a break, so I get it. I hope you had a great time in your trip! I swear I saw you in a SRC video at Plates and 28s. Was that you?
I have never owned a modern car till about a year back. Before that the newest thing we had was a 85 F350 to haul the race cars to the track. So I’m still getting use to the new car thing. With the hurricane that came thru, then I had pneumonia also and time crunch I just feel like I’m going non stop to get a car ready so I just want a break to enjoy the event. Then back to the grind as always. Thank you for watching
@ how much spray you think he is gonna use on that 302? I wouldn’t guess more than 175. If it’s a decent converter, I don’t see it blowing through the converter at that amount of nitrous. Maybe through the clutches on how he is saying it’s shifting. lol.
I'm not hating on you Bobby but, I subscribed to your channel a while back because of my love of the Galaxie. I'm very disappointed that you quit on Legacy to mess with all these other junks! Maybe I'll come back if you ever return to The Lagacy. 😪 Sorry! 🤧 Bye.
@@jamesburkhalter3548 legacy hasn’t went anywhere. I’ve just got around 25 vehicles here and they all get their turn. Legacy will be back over the winter getting the new engine finished up

Quality control isn’t what it used to to be that’s a fact

I'm loving that Autometer Tach!
I picked that up at a swap meet brand new in the box for like $30. Kinda had to buy it
I love the wagon.
@@FlameInGa thank you. We do enjoy it
I’m in the same boat!! I have two projects going right now and I just can’t stand to be in the shop working on either one.
When you do it every day it’s easy to get burnt out on it. Sometimes a few days away can make a world
Of difference and get you refreshed

Probably more fun with a late model...plus if you don't have a Nitrous Convertor it won't help the Cougar much
@@drcracinggarage8047 why would not having a nitrous converter keep the nitrous from improving the cougars time much?
@davidross7791 it will help some but not much cause it blows thru the converter
