I used to make doll quilts for a local antique store. He was always getting antique cradles and cribs. I went through an entire book of quilt patterns, making them fit a cradle about the size you're working with, and cribs. I made a ton of money using scraps and remnants. 😊❤

I raised my two nieces, so much so that my daughter and my nieces were sisters. When the oldest was expecting, she wanted me to sew everything. Nobody else, me. I used to sew their pajamas, and clothes, curtains, quilts, Halloween costumes, and dress up play clothes. I even made them aprons to use for anything. I used my husband's jeans to make their aprons. So, she wanted covers for the changing table pad. I had to box the corners ever so smll, but enough to go around the pad. It came out so cute I made 4 more. I made them like a envelope pillow, except I overlapped toward the top, as I realized she could change the pad with one hand if she needed to. Everyone was so thrilled with all the things I put inside the diaper bag I sewed. The crib quilt, burp clothes, receiving blankets, covers for the changing mat, even pacifier clips, oh, even a bunch of bibs in different sizes. Now my grandbabies both have a painting apron. My ex husband's wife asked if I could make some for her preschool. I made 24 aprons. She was the envy of the other teachers...48 aprons later, all the little ones had aprons. They supplied the denim jeans, I just cut and sewed.

What a great little bed for Tilly! Love the quilt too. I think you should quilt on your sewing machine as it will keep the batting in place better, as you'll need to wash it.

Love that blue metal bed! You did a fine job explaining how you made the mattress! You might want to sew ties to the four corners of the mattress to tie to the four corners of the bed frame. That will keep the mattress in place when Tilly gets on and off the bed. The little quilt is so sweet!
