So helpful! Would love to see a video on how to stick to your time blocking. I tend to plan it all out, but then don’t follow it and work more in the moment and end up doing what I “feel” like at that time, or go way over the time slot when I actually get in the flow. I know you mentioned this is good at times, but I end up not doing what I need to be doing lol!

Incredible video! Question: if you don’t complete a task that has been dragged into a timeblock on AkiFlow, does it still show as undone on Notion? I wouldn’t want tasks to disappear especially if I never got to them! I currently use Asana and Google Calendar, so I am still exploring digital ways to manage tasks and time. Thank you for your videos! 🤍

On Habit 1 - before COVID, I used to spend 2-3 hours on trains and found it great to get focused work done on my phone. However, I have since moved to driving to work and use the drive time (total 90 mins to 2 hours) to listen to great podcasts. I've found the extra time saved through driving makes up the difference. But I can see your perspective and how it would work for you.

Hi, I've watched several of your videos. You are amazing. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Would you please consider not using persistent background music? Background music and sound effects create an additional unpleasant cognitive load. When people are speaking it is unnecessary to have background music or sound effects. A little bit of music goes a long way. Music is okay when people are singing. Music is okay used in small amounts when people are NOT talking (but it is still unnecessary). For people who are listening to their own music, your music is just interfering. For people who are hard of hearing, who speak the video language as a second language, for people who are on the spectrum/neurodivergent, or have other learning challenges, then any background music or sound effects are always extra challenging. Also, for people who are listening to the video speeded up or slowed down, then the music becomes unpleasantly distorted. Please consider just leaving it out and/or at least making a music-free version of the video and prominently offering the link to it. Thank you.

Usually I prefer silence to study, but when there is loud people or music outside, I really like to use white noises. I am kinda fan of classical music, but sometimes it distract me so I play it only for reading and not very difficult tasks. And time to time I find very useful just calm noises of rain 🤗

Habit stacking can be one of the worst things you can do to your mental health, if you're not careful. Stay in the present as much as you can! Multitasking can be just as bad as doomscrolling. Productivity is not the ultimate goal of life. Good time management includes moments when you're concentrating on the one activity you're doing at the moment.

For work and reading I listen to Lofi 100% of the time, that chill feeling is unbeatable. And noise cancelling headphones really help you get into the zone by tuning out the rest of the world. For working out I listen to upbeat music that makes me feel sexy because exercise can feel like a chore sometimes but if I feel confident with my body then it makes me want to continue the workout and push harder.

since a few days ago, I am writing my master thesis. When it is over, I will continue with writing that book I started before I choose to return to school. It is already a lot better than the first two I have written before. When I write "the end" I will completely rewrite it so it will be an even more interesting read. After that, I will start my next book and publish this one. I can't wait to finally defend my thesis. I can't wait to publish the book. I can't wait for my next project going after this. I am so happy just imagining the future I am building for myself in this and other aspects of life. And when I get there, I will continue with building and building until my body starts to decompose. It is nice to have something to live for after years of just surviving. 😊

Thank you. I found your advice most helpful. I've been stuck between 1600 and 1700 in my Blitz chess rating and have been trying to find a way to increase it. If I can improve by ten rating points or 0.6% a week (I'd need to win two games), I will have increased my rating by over 100 points in three months. This will set a new high for me. Over a year, this will increase my rating by over 500 points or about 30%. More importantly, I am more confident about improving by ten points than passing the 1800 mark. Once I hit my goal of a ten-point increase, I can stop for the week instead of trying to raise it 100 points in one day. A bonus will be playing less chess online, freeing time to work on my fitness, writing, chess training, and other interests. This small weekly goal will improve my chess skills, overall well-being, and productivity.
