I'm a fan of pausing too. 🙂 That's too funny about Brad Pitt, LOL! Thanks, Tarunpreet.
@ThistleAndSea Hi. Their split second cameos in each other’s movies have been going on since Deadpool 2 where Brad Pitt’s face was only shown for a few seconds then in Bullet Train Ryan Reynolds appeared for a few seconds. In this one, there was no cameo but they still mentioned Brad Pitt as the invisible character Keith. 😁

Cool review. I got this confused with imaginary which is another movie with imaginary stuff involved but thats a horror movie haha This one seems family friendly haha. At first I thought the purple stuffed animal looking guy was the mascot guy from Mcdonalds haha I think his name is grimer? 😅
@MKF30 Thank you. Yes, his name’s ‘Blue’ and he does look like McDonald’s Grimace. 😁 This is an animated comedy film. It was released a few days ago. 😊

Great reaction! This is considered the best live video game movie and you can see why. At the time there were only 2 MK games out that this was based off of, its very accurate and close tp the original source material for the first MK game. As an 80s and 90s kid this movie left great memories after seeing it in theaters. Also MK has by far the best video game soundtrack theme song. Its still to this day amazing! Happy mothers day to your mom!
@MKF30 Thank you. Belated wishes to your mom too. 😊 The movie was very fun & entertaining and the soundtrack was amazing. It must have been fun watching it in theatres. 😊
@@TarunpreetKaurGill Oh yes for sure it was a lot of fun for sure! @ThistleAndSea The movie was very cute. I can watch it again & again and not get bored. The little girl was so adorable. I loved Hugh Grant’s dance too. 😊

If you're interested, I can tell you a few things, without spoilers, that aren't detailed enough in the film: Galadriel (the Lady of the Light, from the elven word "galad") is a very powerful sorceress who in her millennial life fought many battles (most likely as heavy artillery) against the original dark lord Morgoth, the one who taught Sauron the way to the "dark side". Galadriel and Elrond, the elven king of Rivendell, have telepathic powers, can communicate at a distance and he also has the gift of foresight. Galadriel's daughter married Elrond and therefore Arwen, the one who swears eternal love to Aragorn, is Galadriel's granddaughter. Galadriel's gifts to the company are enchanted and the two daggers given to Merry and Pippin have already been used in combat, as she tells them. the palantir, Saruman's seer stone, is not the only one, there are others (another is kept in the city of Gondor, where Gandalf went to find information about the ring) and looking into it for too long can lead to addiction and folly. Saruman doesn't actually seek the ring for Sauron but he believes he can bend its powers to his will. Pippin comes from a noble family and he is the heir to the title of earl of the shire.
@sonosoloio Thank you for taking the time to write. Really appreciate. Such interesting bits! 😊
Gandalf the Grey died. I'm not even spoiling it, the movie showed him dropping into an endless abyss, and later Galadriel stated that he fell into "shadow" (which presumably is darkness, a.k.a. death). I recommend you know this established fact moving forward for context's sake. Sad, ... I know. :( Great reaction btw :)
@shamlotbestrhapsever7437 It’s like I’m reading the words but my brain absolutely refuses to process this information. ‘Denial’ is what I’ll choose for now. 🙈
@shamlotbestrhapsever7437 And thank you. 😊

Gimli on entering Lothlorien: "An elf-witch lives in these woods, and everyone who enters falls under her spell" Gimli on leaving: "True dat"
@seanmcmurphy4744 Yes, indeed! 😁
And when he leaves, in the book, he says: I feared death and torment in the dark, but I did not let that stop me. But if I had known the danger of light and joy, I would not have come." (That's from memory, so don't judge me if I'm off a bit.)
@@custardflan Great quote!
Sam isnt just brave. He is deathly afraid of the water. Being in boats is considered a kind of mental illness among hobbits. But Sam doesnt let that stop him.
@custardflan Who says Hobbits are not warriors!
Fear of heights and water over my head, same Fear here.
You're in for a great ride.
Enjoyed watching the movie with you! And sorry to break it to you, but Gandalf the Grey is really dead.
@johnwalters1341 My eyes say ‘We won’t be reading the second sentence. We are just not capable enough!’ 🙈 And thank you. 😊
"Why are you breaking my heart?" It's a...uh...repeating theme.
It's a fair tale, but a sad one, as are all the tales of Middlearth, but it may lift your heart." -- Aragorn to the Hobbits.
When I first read Gandalf falling in the 1970s, I buries my face in the pagea and had to shut the book. I still shudder when I read/watch it. I read the books every couple years, btw.
@markwarner5554 @custardflan It was heartbreaking to watch. Reading it would be so much harder. 💔
@custardflan I kept on waiting till the end of movie to see Gandalf again. I genuinely thought ‘This can’t be happening!’.
Wonderful, Tarunpreet! I'm so glad you are enjoying the story! Yes, the breaking of the fellowship and the death of Boromir is hard to watch, but beautiful too in that tragic, heroic way. Tolkien was steeped in the epic stories of the past, and he understood heroic literature very well. So, the day this movie opened in the theaters I took off work to attend an 11:00 AM matinee. I LOVED it so much that I walked out of the screening and straight to the box office to buy a ticket for the next showing! And while I waited for it to start, I sat in the concession area and ate two bratwurst sandwiches. 😋 Just like a hungry hobbit tracking through the wilds, LOL! You did a great job with this first movie. I am excited and looking forward to sharing the next one with you. Thank you for this. 😊
@ThistleAndSea Thanks for sharing your memory from that day. It sounds so fun. You must have enjoyed it so much that you went to watch it again right away. Also, the hobbits’ love for food is so cute to watch. 😁
@ThistleAndSea I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. 😊
@@TarunpreetKaurGill Very much!!
At 19:17 you ask, "Where is he?" He is on the hill of Amon Hen, the Hill of the Eye. The Men of Numenor built a great stone seat atop the hill, represented in the movie by a throne made of four Eagles with upraised wings. A person sitting in the seat was sometimes granted visions of things far away. In the book, Frodo wearing the Ring sees all the West of Middle-earth crawling with Sauron's creatures. He becomes aware of the Eye of Sauron searching for him. The Eye is resisted by a Power from another source, and as the two battle, Frodo slips off the Ring and escapes. The breaking of the Fellowship that follows proceeds rather differently in the book; on the whole I prefer the movie's version. In the book, Aragorn is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. In frustration he leaps to the top of the hill and gazes from the seat, but he sees nothing useful. Incidentally, across the lake from Amon Hen is another hill, Amon Lhaw, the Hill of the Ear. It doesn't figure in the story, but one imagines there might be a similar seat on its top that grants useful hearing. Just another example of the intricacy of Tolkien's vision of Middle-earth.
@johnwalters1341 Thank you! Yes, they hadn’t shown that place before so I was wondering where he was, after removing the ring. And when Aragorn came, I thought it was Boromir again. 🙈
Nothing that differs in the movies is better than the books ;)
At 14:22, the movie doesn't make it clear, but Galadriel is Arwen's maternal grandmother.
And Elronds mother in law.
@johnwalters1341 @custardflan Both, Galadriel and Arwen had a very powerful yet soothing aura. They were lovely and warm yet intimidating.
@TarunpreetKaurGill Arewen's mother, Celebrian, and Galadriels' daughter, was captured by orcs and tortured. When she was rescued, she left for the Undying Lands because she had lost all joy in middle earth.
Fool of a Took! 😆 That's a favorite line between my sister and me, LOL! Gandalf can be a bit harsh, can't he? But also very wise and very kind. On to part 3!
@ThistleAndSea I felt bad for Mr. Took. 🙈 But it was also funny. 😊 I’ll use it on my sibling too. 😁 Yes, Gandalf can be a bit harsh but he’s so loving, too. 😊

@namvet69-71 Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words. 😊
Great job, Tarunpreet! Wow, that part flew by fast. Yes, a simple life is not a bad thing at all, is it? 😊 On to part 2!
@ThistleAndSea Thank you. I agree and as I said, not a very simple saying! 😊
Most people don't notice two successive lines from Gandalf: "This is a foe beyond any of you. Run!" and "Lead them on, Aragorn. The bridge is near." I have a theory that Gandalf knew he was going to have to fight the Balrog and might not survive the encounter, because he was the only one who could match the Balrog's power. A note about angels. In Tolkien's world, there was a supreme being, Eru Iluvitar, and two orders of angels, the Valar and the Maiar. Gandalf is a Maia, sent to Middle-Earth to battle Sauron with four other Maiar: Saruman the White, a third wizard named Radagast the Brown, who has no role in these movies (although he did in the books), and two "Blue wizards" who went off into the east and were never heard from again. Surprisingly Sauron was also once a Maia, but turned to the Dark Side, to use a term from another cinematic universe, as were Balrogs.
When Gandalf said that, the next few scenes, he was leading the pack. In the book, he was behind casting spells to slow down the pursuit of the Balrog.
@BobBlumenfeld @RoadDoug That whole sequence with Balrog and Gandalf was very stressful yet beautiful!
@BobBlumenfeld Thank you for telling me about the angels. 😊
YAY! Off to watch all three! 😃
Gandalf did not begin his confrontation with the Balrog until the others had gone off the other end of the bridge. He did not want their help.
@Henngist But I still feel bad. 🙈
Another extremely enjoyable reaction... I love how you pointed out the Peace that Galadriel exudes, as you emit the same lovely Resonance. We usually Recognize what we are within the other...

The next one is more intense - something about the kicking of a helmet and broken toes, I believe. And I can confirm, you have seen the last of Gandalf The Grey. 😔 Oh - another preet-y beret!!! 😊
@chrisbanks6659 I’ll have to prepare my mind & heart, then. 😁 Regarding Gandalf, I am going to choose to live in denial for some time. 🙈 And thank you! 😊

Nope, that career started well before this. :) Look up "Caravaggio", "The Patriot Games" or "GoldenEye".
@Tango_Elite @geminicricket4975 I saw his character (Ned Stark) dying in Game of Thrones and it was heartbreaking. Now, Boromir! It was just crushing. 💔
Frodo survived because of the gift of the Mithril shirt that Bilbo gave him in Rivendell - which in turn was gifted to Bilbo by Thorin, Dwarf King Under The Mountain- But that's another story, from a time past (The Hobbit) 😉
It was probably Legolas baby shirt 👕

"Such beautiful mountains." - Heh, in addition to being a marvelous trilogy of films, it really acts as an effective tourism advertisement for New Zealand, doesn't it? I do highly recommend reading the books after this, by the way. They create a marvelously complex, detailed, and vibrant world with a rich history to explore. The amount of work Professor Tolkien put into makin his creation truly feel alive is astounding.
