    Agreed. But minus 6 to 8 hours of sleep (which you did) Work and travel 9 hours. Working out one to two hours (with travel) . Eating one to two hours with prep, cooking, and eating. You really have 4 to 6 hours for enjoyment. Which is a fair amount of time. But, than add in being a parent, having a second job, school, etc . . . That "free time" gets eaten up quickly. Obviously not everyone faces the same challenges in their life. My point is, yes, strive to find enjoyment in your life. Take some you time when you can. But, instead of trying to carve it out in what limited time you may have in a day. Find joy in your work, your workouts, your additional responsibilities. Otherwise you'll be chasing happiness rather than living in the moment.

    Agreed. People see the excitement of other people's lives. Traveling, relationships, events, etc . . . But, these are small moments that are only temporary. Most people live a simple and basic life. Borning isn't bad. It's stable. Sure, shake things up on occasion with the exiting. But, for the most part, just relax and enjoy the normal. Because while it may be fun, new, and exilerating to meet a potential new lover interest (for example) most people, when they find their person, are happy just to enjoying the feeling of safe and familiar. And the same with people who love to travel. Nothing feels like home when you get back.

    I disagree . . . I could die of embarrassment.😁 But, seriously. Agreed, people tend to put so much press on specific events that are going on in their life. And not that those moments, tests, and situations aren't important. But, for the most part, they are not life or death and you only increase your stress and anxiety by putting on more pressure. Instead of just accepting what happens, happens. More important is how you react to the situation and face the challenges that follow, regardless of success or failure, which helps to determine your character and next steps in life.

    I understand the perspective and drive. That's great. But keep in mind that you and your friend chose to end a hiking trip early and get back to work after a day. In your conquest of success, just remember not to sacrifice friends and family. Time is a valuable commodity you can't get back. Just be careful you don't make the mistake of spending all of it on just one area of your life. For example, you've mentioned wanting a girlfriend. That type of "connection" takes time, energy, and sacrifice to cultivate into a relationship. So just remember reaching your goals is important. But, hopefully not at the expense of the people in your life. Also, your own mental health and wellbeing. You’re unable to enjoy your vacation. Now, i get it, many men have a very cutthroat approach to success. But you may want to self-reflect why that may be. Because, taking a step back from your goals doesn't mean you’re lazy or a failure. It means you understand the importance of recharging and rejuvenating yourself, so you can accomplish more.

    Routine is great for keeping yourself accountable and on track. But, after a while, you build that consistency up over time. Like you said, you no longer need the routine to maintain your productivity. You've already unlocked that ability with weeks, months, and years of consistency. The other benefit of a routine is not so much adherence to a strict schedule. But, making sure you complete certain tasks each day. It's not the when that is important. Just that you devote some time to the task itself.

  • @Dragonmoon8526

    The irony is people who feel good about themselves by attacking others, tearing down others, or feeling superior to others, really don't understand the point behind self-improvement. You're not improving yourself so you can feel a sense of pridefulness. But take pride in who you are as a person.

    Put simply, creat a solid foundation and build upon it. More importantly focus on one area of your life. Once that's stabilized, focus on another. So on and so forth. Yes, there are many elements why your life is unbalanced. But, trying to juggle to many things as once still leaves you unbalanced, frustrated, and self-defeated. But, fully agree, if you don't start investing in yourself, you will never grow successful as a person.

    Agreed . . . It's not that doing what you are passionate about is going to prevent hard days. It just means that bad days may not be as bad. Or your motivation doesn't completely die. It is the same with a relationship. They're hard work and you have to put in the effort. But, when you're with the right person, you feel motivated to keep investing in the connection you're building with the other person.

    Intresting approach. Agree with listening to music while you work. I've heard it's best to use instrumental only. As music with lyrics can be a distraction. But, I've heard a solution to that is to play song in an unknown language. Because if you don't know the words. You can't get distracted. Great video. 😁

  • @Dragonmoon8526
    @Dragonmoon8526 19 днів тому

    Agreed, it is hard. I'm finding, however, that a healthy approach is to limit focus. As you stated in a previous video, we only have so many "points" to focus on certain activities a day. So it is best to be less frivolous with our time. But, to go further, I'm realizing I can only spread myself so thin before I lose all motivation. So, in order to keep consistent with my progress. I'm going to realign my focus with working out, learning a new skill, reading, and writing. Just these four things that I need to work on each day, after work.

    Great points. One thing you alluded to was to also to ask open-ended questions. Basically, try to avoid questions that are yes or no. This way, you can gain more information and continue the conversation based on their response. That's really the key. Listen and base your response of theirs. Obviously, find a balance of they share you share. But, generally, while people love to talk about themselves, most people will notice this and give you a chance to speak at some point. So, a few key questions are great. But, make sure you can offer up as enthusiastic a response too.
