It's good to see you man! I thought you'd stop for a while but nice to see more videos regardless.
Muito linda ❤
Im sorry to see that man, i have to sell my beloved Vespa sprint due to the fact that im 5,7 and a half and i fell off the bike, its not the safe option for me, im thinking to switch to a smaller bike soon, but just letting you know your not the only one, stay strong man you got this💪❤.
Weather was not perfect, but the area that you ride in is certainly beautiful.
Hey Dan, Glad to see you out on the XMax again. I agree completely, we all need to keep doing the things that give us life while we can. The only time we have is now. Definitely sketchy out there brother. Glad you made it back home ok. As long as the temps stay above freezing, you will have some grip regardless of the sleet. But if the weather shows dipping into freezing... it's game over. It's all about the front wheel staying planted. That's why I'm always looking for debris in the road ahead of me. Things like bars, lumber, and plastic chairs that have fallen out of a shirtheads pickup, that couldn't be bothered to put up their tailgate, can easily upset the front tire and put you down almost instantly. Even a rock the size of a tennis ball can do it. But those are small enough to easily avoid. The longer stuff needs more time to react and avoid because they take up more space on the road. A 2x4 broadside (90° to the tire) is not really an issue at slower speeds. But at an angle it is dangerous. Happy trails buddy,😊 Gord
It’s so good you’re still making videos but i thought you were ending your channel? Are you ok now? Best wishes 🙏
I live in the San Francisco bay area, so weather is only an occasional thing here (although it's raining now). I have not yet taken the bike out in bad weather, but I suspect that the HUGE Givi wind screen I put on my XMax would mean I wouldn't get wet at all except when stopped. Still, nothing here is gonna be close to the other stories. If it's 35F here it's a "cold snap", and if we get more than a drizzle it's "Storm Watch" on the news. 😂😂😂 Having had my 2024 for a month or so now, it's now "weird" seeing your dash, which otherwise looks so much like mine, with the analog spedometer and tachometer. Glad you're still getting rides in. Even if it is in freezing rain. 😅
Worse weather back in 1972 when i was young and crazy drove my 1972 Suzuki ts 185 to my part time job in 5 inches of snow slipping and sliding all over but had the time of my life.next time try those inexpensive hand warmer packets inside your gloves really helps
To me this is where scooters shine, in cold and wet weather with that fairing and windshield up ahead of you blocking a whole lot of it.
Sorry you sold your Ruckus . He got a perfect almost brand new bike. Hang in there you should be back to normal before you know it .
The worse weather I've ever ridin in was the 90 something degrees heat . My wife and I used to go on weekend trips on our Harley Davidson ultra classics and the hot weather almost took its toll on me a few times. Other than that riding to work and back in the late fall I would get off at 11 PM and have icey frost on my seat and windshield and one of the worst nights after my 18 mile ride home I was getting gassed up and could hardly make my fingers work they were so cold. Hope you get back to normal asap .
Snowing currently in my area. About 4 days ago there were rampant wildfires. Crazy. Im assuming you took the max off the marketplace. I like that mini blue bus..lol would be perfect to bring to met life stadium for the giants games.
More shots of the bike please.
Nice ride even if it's super cold . The xmax is looking good. Does it seem like the xmax 300 has twice as much power as the adv160?
The ADV160 has 15.8 horse power, and the XMax 300 has 27.6 horse power, so not quite double, but close, in terms of spec... but that's before you account for the fact that they XMax 300 is 100lbs heavier. Having watched numerous videos on both bikes, and owning a 2024 XMax 300, the two bikes seem to behave very similarly with the CVT "gearing" in the speed range that both bikes can do, but the Adv160 will start topping off at 65mph or so, while the XMax 300 can get up to about 90 before topping off. The TL/DR is pretty much to buy the Adv160 if you want a lighter and cheaper bike, better fuel economy, and your use case either doesn't include much (if any) freeway travel, or does freeway travel in heavy traffic that isn't going faster than 65mph anyway. The XMax 300 meanwhile is the choice for "it just can do it all", offering more cargo space, the capability to "comfortably" get on the freeway, and enough power/seat room to carry a passenger without feeling it in terms of performance. I'd add that the newer XMax 300 has more tech than the Adv 160 does. Yamaha's software is a little jank, but the new XMax does offer phone connectivity for GPS and phone, and has an LCD screen to display it on, which the Adv 160 does not. As I noted, I personally have a 2024 XMax 300, and I love that bike. There isn't any area where that the bike feels either lacking, or overkill. It's like the goldilocks bike. The underseat storage is great for running errands. I've lugged 16lb bags of dry cat food in that compartment. It is capable of keeping with traffic on pretty much any road. No, you won't keep up with a squid going 160 on a Ninja H2. But you probably shouldn't be doing that anyway. The Adv160 is also, from everything I've read/seen about it, a GREAT bike. For some people it would be a better option. But it just isn't the "do everything" bike that the XMax is.
@jmcminn1076 very good comment and one of the most professional and educated comments I've ever read. I appreciate your time and effort. Thanks
@@jmcminn1076 Can I just also mention that the XMAX 300 is so beautiful from the front? You will pass by SquidBRo1000gxxr420 and he will give you a wave because your bike looks like a demon beast on the road as you drive by. It doesn't give a scooter vibe at all. The thing is just awesome!
@@protomon there is that too. I especially like the looks of the newer models without the “tear drop” stick out directionals. I am half tempted to get my XMax painted a dark metallic teal color over the grey and bronze panels, to make it look even sleeker. That said, I should note that Honda also makes the PCX 160 which kind of does the same thing in terms of not looking like a scooter while basically being the same bike as the ADV 160 other than styling. People generally are looking at the ADV 160 because it generally seems to be considered the very narrowly slightly better of the two bikes, but if the sleek look matters to you, the PCX 160 is almost the same thing but with a sportier facade, and even costs a couple hundred dollars less too.
Awesome video thinking on getting the Xmax or Burgman spring 2025
Worst weather for me was riding on a Honda CX500 from Atlanta to Jacksonville (300+ miles) in TORRENTIAL rain the entire way. Interstate the whole distance!
Now that’s bad
I was coming back east one time on I-80, I think it was in Iowa or something, and the rain was pelting down nonstop for hours, i couldn't see 50 feet ahead of me, all I did was look straight down at the lines in the road because it was all I could see, there was no place to escape the rain, it was all corn fields or whatever, I rode like that for hours till I hit an overpass and hid under it to dry off. You get out on the road in the midwest and it's flat as a pool table, no place to escape the weather, all you can do is try to ride through it.
thinking on getting an Xmax, what brand of jacket & gloves you have on.. one Thanksgiving rode my 3 1/2 -4 hrs to visit my son on the way back it was cold & raining the whole time but i made it back safe
The pants and jacket are HwK from Amazon there amazing
@@slowridersmotovlog201 Thanks I'll look them up
2 wheel therapy. The best . Nice ride ! What type of winter riding pants do you have ? I have to wear my one piece Carhart insulated jumpsuit. My Dad rode home during the blizzard of ‘68 on a C50 . I’ve only ridden in cold temperatures lol. Nice scenery
HWK from Amazon super nice
@ thanks Ill check them out
Had a Honda CB900 back in the 90's and rode head on into a BAD!thunderstorm. It lightning one after the other, constant thunder....only time I've actually been scared 😱
That weather not good for your lungs,be careful
Most definitely is
Ahhhh! I can't wait! Who has the balls to ride in the sleet, snow, rain, and still have a blast doing it? Slowriders Motorvloooooooooooog - it about to begin! Oh yea.
Hell Ya!!!
Hey. Quick question. I am a 45 year old man. Does being part of slowmovers mean I have to dress like a dipshit? Asking for a friend.
That Breakout is sick!!!
This or the new semi automatic Dax for double the price?
NAVI all the way
Are you sure that’s 2024 model? The official Yamaha website lists two colors and neither of them are team blue.
Nice review and bike. Do you know when the 2025 version is coming out and color options ? Do you have any complaints and how do you like the color?
Go test ride the 2025 Honda Dax. It's a blast 👍
I feel your pain. I sold my 2020 ruckus when I bought my Navi. I felt the same way watching the guy drive away with it so I feel your pain, brother. However, I’m very happy with the Navi. It was your channel that inspired me to go with the newer bike. Just curious have you sold all the bikes? Are you just down to the Navi? Love your videos always looking for the new ones as well as reviewing the old ones so please keep them coming thank you!
I want one. A 300 would be nice
Now that’s low miles , I bought my Honda grom in august 2023 and have ridden over 14000miles . We wish you the best 👍
But WHY are you getting rid of it? Did I miss it? You said something about your health but then you said you were keeping other bikes, so was confused
Sell all those underpowered bikes. Keep the x max. That dude is gonna crush the suspension system.😅
I think I’m keeping Xmax and the Navi
Just a word of advice if you are going let someone test drive make sure they have a motorcycle license if they wreck insurance company won't cover the bile@@slowridersmotovlog201
Bike
Hey Dan it's good to see your face it sucks to thin to herd but you got to do what you got to do at your health comes first hey I was interested in knowing if you might be interested in selling the saddlebags for the X-Max let me know thanks brother
Sorry my friend I sold them awhile back
Know you’re sad to see it go but it looks like it’s in good hands
Im looking at buying a used honda 2023 model (1813 miles) what should I look out for?
Motor modifications and other modifications
@@slowridersmotovlog201 Its coming from a dealer so hopefully stock!
@@bmo72 I wish but sadly SWFL here, thank you tho I would def hop on it if I could :/
Dude your blogs are the best
HWK is great, but just know that in the pants sizing they stop short at 42 and I'm just a tad bigger. So, for us big dudes, the legs freeze!
the PCX has ABS on both wheels.
I have a 1500 victory. Honestly the ruckus rides better on the 2 miles of dirt road befor I hit pavement
So glad to see you riding again, I was worried, I do think that the riding can have great health benefits for your self care, so keep it up 👍 thanks for the great videos ! Still loving my new Navi. Taking it out for a ride this weekend here as we have a major cold front coming through early next week 🎉
Roll onward
Good choice of music!
Hello, deciding between this and xmax300. Im 6'1 180 pounds. Question is I need to over some gravel/rock roads for very short distance ( 1/4 mile )and go slow. Rest is all country roads. so 95% country asphalt paved roads- 5% rock/gravel. Is xmax ok for a bit of gravel road riding? money not much of issue for me. Like the idea of power of xmax. Which would you recommend? Thank you very much. PS rented the PCX and really liked it- more comfortable than nmax for me-
The Xmax is bad on gravel roads go with adv160
@@slowridersmotovlog201 OK, Thank you very much
Epic

Are you gonna upgrade the tires and suspension?
No im leaving everything stock
