Thanks for the beautiful ride, Dan. I found out when I first started riding, years ago, that the breakout speed for wind chill happens around 50+ mph. Even in the low seventies, the wind chill can drive right into you at highway speeds of 55+ mph. Getting a good jacket with sufficient zippered vents and Velcro sleeve and neck straps is essential. It keeps you warm at speed but when it gets too warm, you just open the jacket vents and loosen the Velcro sleeve and neck straps and the wind comes in and cools you down. In the meantime, you maintain the padding protection of the riding jacket. I didn't realize you were retired and worked part time. That's my gig as well. I work three days a week, eight hours a day... plus social security and manage to get by. I couldn't have afforded the new CFMoto 450nk without the insurance money from the accident that happened last month. I got broadsided by someone coming out of a parking lot. It's been twenty years since I last rode. Guess what? I can still do it at 74. I'm still breaking in the engine and need another 200 miles to get from 4000 rpm to 6000 rpm. Then I can use it to commute to work on the highway. Highway gas mileage on the 450 is around 65 mpg. In town, it's around 50 mpg... if your light on the throttle. I'm only 5'7" with a 30" inseam and can flat foot the 450 with a 31.3 seat height. I wouldn't be able to do that on the XMax. But then, the XMax isn't as heavy. The 450 is 365 lbs with 50 hp and 29 lb ft of torque. Speed, weight, and low end acceleration feels like my old 2000 Honda Magna 750. I like the CFMoto allot better. Gord
I work remote from home, so commute isn't really a thing, but I love the California weather which makes not having a car and only using the scooter year round workable. 😁.
I am a new rider, and had to take my PCX for an interview this morning, and despite layering up, it was the coldest ride of my life (40 degrees), and the longest (11 miles each way) since I had not ridden that far before. But made it. I am now researching on warm gear.
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I had both my scoots out for a ride today. It's around 55 degrees which is cool but very doable. Looking forward to more fall videos. Keepem rollin brother. 👍
Just got my first bike, a honda grom, been riding to work this week but looking forward to this weekend for some longer rides! i'm right up here in hanover pa, so not far from you, been enjoying your videos, keep it up!
Love the vibe of your videos. Love enjoying the scenery!

Those HWK jackets off Amazon are just too hard to beat. 70 bucks mesh with warm liners. I have two and I just love them.
Most definitely can’t beat it
I love me some XMAX videos!
From my experiences in cold weather, you know in the first 100 yards whether you've got the right gear on 😂 Enjoyed it Dan see ya next time
You are correct my friend
I ride scooters for years and I love it
It’s the best!!!

Very nice!!
I have one on order, hopefully see it next spring.
Hand guards, heated grips and a heated seat would be great upgrades.
I use hand guards to keep wind and rain off. Ali Express.

nice ride, I have the Honda Forza 300 just love this bike, thinking on getting the Xmax or Suzuki Burgman 400 in 2025
I’d go with the Xmax the burgman is way overpriced
