Yeah, always check to make sure all zippers are up and secure and all Velcro straps are tight and in place... especially at the wrists and the neck. Note the temperature you were riding in and then add layers under your jacket. I find on the freeway running 70 mph at 66° F, I need two sweatshirts underneath my rainproof riding jacket, together with the jacket liner in order to remain comfortable. I also need to change into my winter gloves. Next is the wrap around grip warmers over the handlebars grips. Hand guards knocking the wind off your hands makes a big difference as well. Honestly, the best remedy when it gets cold is a touring bike that removes all the wind from your body and provides heated seats and grips. That setup you generally only find on full fairing tourers with big windshields and side deflectors. The Gold Wing and BMW R1250RT are both great and make winter riding far more comfy. But the price and the weight are the trade-offs. The BMW is 200 lbs less than the Gold Wing. I used to have a 2003 GL1800. Gord
